Do you know if there is or will be an ’Encyclopaedia of Harry Potter’ and ‘The Art of Harry Potter’.
Thanks

Are these books written by other authors who dissect JK's work or are these books from JK herself? I'm guessing not but I'd really love it if she did write some type of back story or if she would put all of the historical information into a book.

The Comic Relief books FB (Fantastic Beasts) and QttA (Quidditvh Through the Ages) were written by JK Rowling and much of the profit goes to charity efforts.
"The Magical World of Harry Potter" is one of the books written by other authors who analyze the canon text.

Mugglenet.com just put out a book called: What Will Happen in Harry Potter 7: Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Falls in Love and How Will the Adventure Finally End. I just ordered it from Amazon...Pretty excited. I also loved the Quiddich Through that Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.....Does anyone know if she do any more books for charity?

I'm sort of interested in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages. But are these worth reading? What are they really about? They seem pretty interesting I guess. What are your thoughts to those who have read them?

Adam, I thought they were both rather amusing. Quidditch TtA is all about Quidditch. . .its history, the teams, the sport, the brooms, etc. Just like an encyclopedia of Quidditch. Beasts is much the same; it gives an alphabetical listing of magical creatures with a description and classification. . .and they're "Harry's texbooks," so the scribbling is very fun to read as well.

I've read Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, Quidditch through the ages and the Magical wordls of Harry Potter. I love them. It's great the way the books really talk to you from a wizards point of view. And Magical worlds is really informative. Thats where i learnt of the last word of Deathly Hallows - Scar.

I don't think I'd but an unofficial Harry Potter, it would kinda feel as though I was "selling out" JK Rowling and the Harry Potter franchise or something lol. Besides, how accurate can an unoffical publication be? I'd rather wait until JK Rowling herself puts together a book of that nature.

I saw a book in some book shop that was like theories on the harry potter and the deathly hallows book. I dont know if its a proper official copy, but my friend showed it to me when we were in borders. I think there was only like one copy of the book as well. I remember her picking it up and because she knows i like snape *sigh* she looked through the book for any theories involving him. I would of bought it right there and then but i didnt have any money on me at the time. Ill have to have a look for it again later on.

I recently bought a book called The End of Harry Potter? It was very in-depth and interesting to read. I have also read Quidditch Through the Ages and loved it! Did anyone read Fantastic Beasts? What is it, really? Is it good?

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is really good! It talks about all different magical creatures, and the MoM gives them ratings on how dangerous they are. I found those extremely hilarious, though I don't kow why. Also, there's scribbles and note all over it, written by Harry, which are really funny. I think that is the book where Ron and Hermione write some notes too, but I'm not sure, that might be Quidditch Through the Ages.

Haha, nice one!
I've read 'Quidditch Through The Ages' and 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' and I think they were really nice! I've heard that J K is to write an Encyclopedia of Harry Potter, about the characters' future and stuff. Oooh so cool! Can't wait! But she wants to have a 'writing-break' before writing it, so it'll take some time. But still, then we've got something to look forward to!

Yes I heard there is going to be an encyclopedia too. I think that would be interesting. I hope she writes more books like Quidditch Through The Ages because that would be fascinating.

I'm really looking forward to the Harry Potter Encyclopedia. There are so many more things that I want to know, which I am hoping will be covered in it. I'm sooo glad JKR decided to do it, I'm sure that it will provide more closure for all the fans and for herself!

From what I've heard, yes. I HAVE heard the encyclopaedia is coming out, but I have no idea when, or wether the rumor is actually true. Anyway, you can search online for it.
