Did they really? How lame!

I've noticed things do sometimes get done wrong. Some of the GoF "goofs" are totally stupid, like talking about how Mad Eye's eye patch keeps switching from his left to his right eye during his first office meeting with Harry. Well, duh! Sometimes he's looking in a mirror, sometimes not! rolleyes.gif

I've also seen some actors in movies, and then can't find them in the credits on IMDb.

Still, it's a really good source, I think. Most of the time it's pretty accurate. You'd think Robert's agent would get that fixed!

I've read the trilogy only twice. There have been a few books I've read more than once, but not too many. One was "A Woman of Substance," which, I suppose, was actually a fairly predictable romance novel. It inspired me though, because the heroine wanted her own business and really worked hard for it! I think if I read the Trilogy again I'd pay more attention to the poems and songs, which I saadly admit I kinda skipped over sometimes. ohmy.gif

Ok, I admit it. I still skip some of the poems and songs, especially the really long ones. However, the Lament to Boromir at the beginning of the Two Towers has always been one of my favorites. I've been trying to set it to music for years with any luck. Then again, I'm not a composer, so why am I surprised.

I think almost ANYONE who's read tolkien has skipped at least ONE poem at some point... but hey, maybe im wrong...

I've only read the trilogy the once and even then I skipped some of the poems because I just wanted to get on with the story. I have to admit that when I've reread some of the HP books I've skipped the sorting hats songs, That is unless I've thought they are important like the one in Ootp. I've beentempted also to skip Umbridges speach in Ootp because she's an old hag!!!

Heya guys.

After much careful deliberation we have decided that this thread is not really needed. There are plenty of threads to discuss the things you have talked about in here and there's no real point to have a thread for a specific group. If we had one topic for each age group - oldies, youngsters, teens, whatever - this forum would go on forever.

So for the sake of avoiding future conflicts over these sorts of threads I am going to close this topic. For the record we're not doing this to annoy, harrass or aggravate the posters in this topic. It came down to a vote and the majority ruled it be closed.

If you have any complaints feel free to PM me. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding the closure of this thread.

Sincerely,
TriadOfDarkness.
