It really annoys me how people dont like them when im at school i tend to just read the books or me and my friend talk about them all the time in front of people who dont like them. I think that singing the songs at school would be a great idea. one of my friends at the moment has gone totally insane and is actually getting rid of her set of the books even before the 7th one comes out becasue she says theyre rubbish

I would also like to say (because i forgot before) that using British slang and talking in a british accent doesnt work for people who are living in Britain!

2 of my friends who dont really like Harry Potter wanted to test me to see how much I really know about Harry Potter so they decided they would have me name off every character I know they really started getting annoyed after about a half hour and finally stopped me when i gave off Diagon Alleys Ice Cream mans naem Mr Florscean it was priceless im sure i listed well over 200 if not in the 3 hundreds and i could have kept going

another one of my personal favorite things to do is if someone wont shutup i pick up a stick and say silencio and if they dontget it i point the stick at my throat and say snourous and scream at them to shut up pretending that my voice has been enhanced magically.

Even though most of my friends aren't as obsessed with Harry potter as me, I have found only a couple ways to annoy people who don't like HP:
When you get them to watch one of the HP movies with you, then complain in every part saying "that's not what happened in the book" and explain exactly what happened in the particular scene. (i do that all the time)
Signing out of AIM while messaging a friend, then read fanfics on veritaserum. You get on later and your friend is all upset and asks, "did your computer kick you off" and reply with "no, i just needed to concentrate and read stories about harry potter."
Everyday tell the countdown to the next HP movie or book and talk about how excited you are that it is coming.
Reading HP in front of them and ignoring them until they yell your name and say "i'm sorry, I'm trying to study."
When your friend is trying to wake you up, start squirming and open your eyes suddenly, rubbing your forehead saying "I just had another nightmare about voldemort." (never done, but would be cool)

*Quote HP all the time, I do.

*Tell them all about VTM and all the theories you've heard recently.

*Count down till DH. Tell people everytime you see them ho wlong you have to wait.

Unfortunetly I've never had a chance to try them on soemone how really hates HP.

well a few things me and my friends did:

-sing made up harry potter songs at the top of your lungs
-give the haters harry potter nicknames and use them frequently
-have debates on what you think will happen in the next book very loudly
-have contests with other hp lovers to see who knows the most about the books around the haters

I would tell them that i could make them fly away, grab a stick and point it at them and say.. Wingardium Leviosa like 3 times, and say.. dang it didn't work!

I'd dress like one of the characters and ask them if they like my outfit.

And -last-

I would threaten them by telliing them that nargles will be taking their shoes.

every time you turn on the light shout LUMOS

ask if you can borrow a broom and run around with it

if you see a cockroach scream NOT ANOTHER BLAST ENDED SKREWT

if someone makes you mad tell them you will let loose the canaries

everytime you get the mail say MY LETTER FROM HOGWARTS CAME!!

throw something at them while they are looking away and say WATCH OUT FOR THE BLUDGER

stand in 1 place and look like your concentrating real hard and if they ask say "my apparation test is coming up"

while unlocking something keep saying ALOHOMORA

when they empty their tea ask if they want you to read their cup for them

while they are asleep draw a lightning scar on their forehead

if your going swimming ask them if they want any gillyweed

Wow, I haven't even tried to annoy them about HP =P I just thought up some now:

1.In school, when you are supposed to quietly sit and study, one of your friends ask you to pass a certain book. Tell them to get their own wand and say "Accio Book!" and take it themselves

2.When you see a friend reading, tell them that they look just like Hermione when they do that, and then ask them to let you copy their homework.

3.Keep telling them how cool Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are.

4.Spend hours talking about your favourite ships ^^ (btw go R/Hr!)

That's all I can think of XD I so love this thread!

whenever talking to someone who hates HP, continuosly ask them there opinion on something in the books,
e.g. did you think "insert description of scene here" would happen in DH? etc.

and if they ignore you, continously poke them until you get a valid answer.

or instead of poking them just tell them random facts that you know about the books and films.

then change the subject so it's about a completely different topic.
and when you've finally got them in a false sense of security say that what they just said reminded you of this moment during the book. and explain to them what happened.

this conversation with them could go on over a very extended period of time!
eventually they could become so tired with the non-stop talk about HP, they'd probably go insane! but as long as you had a good chat about it, thats all that counts right?
(haha only joking!)

oh and then the next time you talk to the person pick up the conversation where you left off, saying something like, did i explain what happened during this....?

I have some! Well, none of my friends HATE hp, but none read the books, so I do stuff like this:

When they say something about the movie that's different then the books, I yell, "NO, THAT'S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED!!!" then I go into great detail about it.

I have a folder that says, "Pink Haired Werewolf Babies. Ah, the joys of true love." Whenever anyone asks about it, I look at them like they're crazy and say in a superior voice, "You would not understand about Lupin/Tonks, you Squib!!!"

Whenever anyone wants something to drink, i ask, "Pumpkin juice or Butterbeer?" That usually gets some wierd looks!

i found what annoyed people, was when i said something i knew about the upcoming HP book, they'd ask me, "and how do you know that" im sure they got fed up every time i said "a HP website"

or i've just thought!! when watching a HP movie with your mates, because you may have watched it many times, mimic everything the characters say during the films! it annoys me if someone does that while im watching a film!

-When they ask what grade I got my my test, I will tell them the Harry Potter grad! Most of the time they are A's or E's!

-Start talking in a british accent whenever your friends are around! (They hate how accurate I can be)

-Yell spells at people you don't like!

-Tell someone that Voldemort will come after them if they aren't nice to you(Sadly it didn't work, the kid just laughed at me)

-Start singing songs fromt he Harry Potter and the GoF soundtrack!(Do the Hippogriff! This is the Night and Magic Works!)

To annoy my friends, I always have a HP book in my bag. I also keep Hedwig's Theme, Double Trouble and Do The Hippogriff on my palm (sorry! I don't have an iPod... Boooo!) and whenever they ask me what I'm listening to, I switch to one of them!

When there's a lot of traffic, say, "I wish I had my firebolt with me"

Also, something really funny happened to me last week: we were doing this assignment at school and one of my classmates has a Gandalf wallpaper on her computer. When I looked at it, I said, "Dumbledore is way better! He died for the greater good: to help Harry save us from Lord Voldemort." She got so mad! (I have a Gryffindor and Hogwarts crest on mine! Bwahaha!)

my dad hates Harry Potter, but I just remind him that it was his fault I got into the books - he bought me the first one, I hadn't heard of HP until then. I used to annoy my friends by consantly quoting HP, or comparing things that were happening at the time to situations in the HP books. I also used to remind them frequently of my crush on Dan. Unfortunately they have grown used to my obsession and it doesn't really annoy them any more.

None of my friends like HP, heres a few things I do to make sure they are constantly annoyed
-Buy a folder/notebook with daniel radcliffe/Harry Potter on it. Make sure you take it out every lesson.
-Always keep a copy of a HP book in your bag. At the most innapropriate times, such as lunch at school when your friends are trying to impress their crushes, take it out and read it. (This always gets everyone really annoyed!lol)
-Get everything Harry Potter. Posters, Notebooks, desktop Backgrounds, Pencil cases,Stationary ect. Then ask them why everyone is giving you funny looks
-Write to Daniel Radcliffe asking for an autograph. before you send the letter,show it to your friends and ask them what they think you should put in it. If they say its good, accuse them of trying to sabotage your chances of getting a reply. If they say its bad, or make fun of it, tell them that you know they are jealous, and always gloat about it.

~ Tell people to buy a copy of on of your spell books you finished publisjing.
~ Lock a door in your house and when someones around, shout `Colloportus` and pretend that the door is really locked. (I've tried that once but the door was already locked and I had the key with me to open the door because I was going to get something so I unlocked the door when my younger sister wasn't looking and said Alohamora with a pencil and she didn't fall for my trick.She's quitesmart and said she saw put the key in my pocket. )
~ Pretend you can read the future and say that they have a dark future ahead of them or something like that.
~ If someone gets a cut, give them kool aid or something blue that they never tasted before and say " It's wiggenweld potion which will help heal you."
~ Pretend your practicing a spell in your room and when your brother/sister comes in say "get out. I'm practicing a spell and you might get hit.
~ If someones teasing you, take out a wand, point it at the person, ( you can buy a fake one in some stores)and say " I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Well that one's not hard! My friends used to be all okay with HP and have occasionnal conversations with it, but then I came along... Now they can't stand it when I even just say Harry or Potter. And so, that's the way! Just keep talking about it all day long. Oh my, these are all so funny! I can't read the whole thing though. Or else the people that are at my house right now will think their friends' daughter is a freak. (which is true, but hey!)

Also, that's a very good point, start humming HP songs and when the person next to you says 'what?' just say 'Oh nothing, I was just singing a Harry Potter song'.

• Refuse to tell people who Mrs. Fig is.
• Ask your parents if any owls came for you when you get tp breakfast in the morning

More.... My friends hate Harry Potter except for two so I always write in my notebook about Harry Potter. Quotes, Fanfics, anything and then show them and ask what they think. I also wear my Harry Potter shirts and tell them not to be jealous when they laugh. I also tell them that they can borrow it when I get done with it. I have also had a Harry Potter themed party. One more..... Or two..... Dress up like Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Draco, Dumbledore, Snape, McGonnagall, etc. Last one I promise. When they are trying to have a conversation with you stare into space and when they notice and get your attention say "What? Oh sorry. I was practicing for Professor Trenawley's class. I hope you don't mind.

to annoy people who dont like Harry Potter, i just make random references to the series. and when they don't get it i just say something like: "Oh yeah, you don't like Harry Potter, of course you wouldn't get it" and then they get mad. hahah.

Ha I agree with browneyedgirl. Quote harry potter constantly, and then be all 'OH, you wouldn't UNDERSTAND, it's a HARRY POTTER joke'. I'm suer that would get some people

I always use quotes from the series to refer to people like "You've got dirt on your nose. Did you know?" (Hermione, HPSS) and my friends who know HP will snicker with me. OR comparing them to people from the series.

-Sort them into houses.
-Use ''spells'' or ''charms'' on them when you get mad at them. I do that all the time.
-If you're cleaning together and have a broom, ride around on the broom and be like 'Throw me the Quaffle!' or 'Catch the Snitch!'.

Just saying the name Harry Potter. I've got a friend whom I'm very close to. Every time something comes up on TV that's HP related or I say something about Harry, she just cringes! But I still love her to death!

My friend used to HATE Harry Potter because her parents are against it. So I would hum the theme song and she would get sooooo mad. It was so funny, but now she and I are swooning over Rupert, Tom and Daniel. We both love Harry Potter. I'm sending her the books so that she can read them.
