They have to have it in there, not only because the twins are gorgeous brilliant actors, but also because they need the comedy in this dark book.

Like in Mel Gibson's The Passion, I don't know if anybody saw it, but in the middle of all this heart wrenching pain and misery, there was one scene of comedy, and the whole theater laughed, not because the comedy was particularly good, but because they needed relief from the intensity

You mean the one about the table, right? "It'll never catch on," and such? That was pretty funny, but now that I think about it, in any other, more light-hearted movie it wouldn't have been funny, but in such a dark movie as the Passion, it was needed.

About Fred and George, they just HAVE to put that scene in there. I mean... it wouldn't make sense without it, would it? And I love them in every scene they're in- I seem to have some freakish attachment to the twins... don't judge me 0.o

Oh no! I hope they do not cut this scene out! Ive been waiting for it for a very long time. I will be so angry if it is cut I doubt it will be though! ^^ I would be quite suprised if they cut it!

It was funny in the OOTP book to see Fred and George escape from Hogwarts. I hope they put that in the movie. If they don't I'll scream. LOL

See the problem is that none of the directors since the first two movies are even fans of the book. Fox made the same mistake with the x-men franchise. Brian Singer never picked up a comic in his life just like the directors of theharry potter franchise never picked up a book untill they applied for the job. So dont expect to see what is fan expected because we'll see it in hollywood vision just like azkaban My personal favorite book played like a bad sitcom on the big screen.

Well I'm happy the scene is in, it's my favourite chapter in the book, whilst they add some light to the stories Luna does that too but in her own way. I think we can presume that we have already seen some of their grand exit on video's available - easiest place to get them is on Leaky Cauldron, we see Umbridge with her hair smoking and Filch at her side, the educational decrees exploding on the wall at the entrance to the great hall. It will be a great moment with lots of laugh's and I can't wait to see Peeve's he's such a great character in the books.

I had always really loved that part soI hope that part of the book so I really hope that they will add it.
Plus I would really love to see what they would make the instant swamp look like.
But thats just me.

I can't wait to see this seen but I don't think that it will be very long. Have the even confirmed its in the movie? I also don't think that they will have the fireworks and swamp but thats just me... if they do have it, it won't be very long probably...

I think this part will be in the movie. This is one of my favorite parts in the book and so I cant wait to see it in the movie. It would be stupid fo them to take it out of the movie because the all of a sudden torwards the end of the year the twins are gone and that wouldnt make sense so I think they will keep this scene in andi think it will add some humor to the movie.

They will most likely show the fireworks scene, although it will be very fast. When they leave the school i expect that they wont show any of the slime and will just show them at the entrance cornered by Umbridge. Can't wait to hear them tell Peeves to give her hell.

As much as I have loved everything in these books, George and Fred have always been my favorites.

I love their non-stop mischief, even how signs of it are showing up in Ginny! I hope they show the fireworks, and Harry finding them hiding and crying from laughing so much.

The escape scene would top anything else they could show, even the action scenes at the MOM.

I know the twins only had small parts at the beginning and the end of HBP, but hopefully they will include them in movie #6 to show their fantastic shop.

I think they may be back in #7 to help fight the war with LV. I will be devastated if either of them are killed.

Please JKR, don't let anything happen to George and Fred!!!!!!!

I hope you guys dont get to disappointed because i am almost positive they will only be in for a few minutes. With so much other action and conversations to be seen, they wont be able to spend much time on this one scene. This will also depend on the length of the movie(Different Forum). I expect that they will be in though since so many of you(+ me) seem to enjoy their pranks.

I think they'll have to keep the scene in cuz like people have said its one of the most amusing scenes in the movie n i'll be extremely dissappointed if they cut it!! but i think it wont be as funny because peeves isnt in the movies so no famous line: Give her hell from us peeves and it wont be as funny because the twins look too old i looked at the fotos they look too old for school!

Thats pretty much one of the coolest parts of the movie and i hope they show them telling peeves to mess with umbridge because we havent even seen peeves at all.

SITH|Redskin if they only put a few seconds of it in the movie i will very upset and i know many others will be too! i mean it is a very important part of the movie because it's when all the pranks start and all the chaos starts at hogwarts!

That's pretty much one of my favorite sences in OotP. The swamp and the fireworks were great too. Then everyone else causes trouble which totally harasses Umbidge.
I wonder if Peeves wil be in it cause he wasn't in the first four at all. Maybe they'll just tell the other students or Lee Jordan to 'give her hell from us'. not that anyone needs the instructions.
But then McGonagall helops Peeves which will probably get cut too.

I'm pretty sure they shot the fireworks scene because I heard somebody talking about already shooting it. I was flipping though videos on youtube when I saw it so I can't go back and make sure, but if I find it again I'll put the link here. I'm looking foward to that scen too even if it is only for a minute. It got me so excited when I read it and I think it's Fred and George's big moment.

It will be great during the movies i think as long as they can do it well, it should be good. I am so excited for the scenes where the teachers are not helping umbridge it will be great.

I agree, they shoud stick to the book and make it the best possible way. I don't remember but is that the same scene where the swamp-like corridor came about or was that earlier? And I haven't really been paying attention to what's going on with the film (other than seeing the behind the scenes...scenes), but is Peeves in it or not? That would help to make it better, right?

Sadly i expect them to leave the swamp part out and just have them escape when they launch all of the fireworks. They will just have them get caught setting the last ones off, and then they will fly off. They never get anything how you like it, so this is just what i expect.

I would really love to watch that scene in the OOTP. Only because I'd like to see the look on Umbridge's face and the whole school watching make their departure. I think that it would be my favorite scene in the whole movie... maybe. I can't wait to see the scene.

I think they'll just leave with the fireworks as SITH|Redskin says. It would waste too much time (unfortunately) and would seem a bit repetitive. Anyway, i think if they leave with the fireworks it would make more of a 'bang' wouldn't you say? The swamp wasn't as exciting.
Or maybe (worst case scenario in the world) they leave it with fred and george creating ruckus and not leave the school. They didnt really say much in GoF about joke shops and harry hasnt even given the prize money.

^^^Completely agree. The fireworks would make for a spectacular boom, opposed to some stinky sap lying on the ground. I wonder what types of fireworks they will put in the movie.(i know they arent real, but computer generated). Will it be like the LoTR with the dragon, or will it just be a bunch of sparks. I can't wait to see either of F&Gs big scenes. The Fireworks "diversion" and the swamp. But I know that we won't see peeves snapping to attention and taking orders from F&G because we won't see Peeves. Also if there is no quidditch, how will the brooms get locked up and if the brooms don't get locked up how will they crash out of the office door?

I really cannot imagine this part being cut, as I am really looking forward to the scene. Besides, if their escape isn't in the movie, then that sort of nixes the whole idea for the twins' joke shop doesn't it? I mean, this is the book that needs to develop all of their fantastic inventions-and without those, there can be no Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Hmmm, (in the films) has Harry given them his Triwizard winnings? I don't exactly remember...But what about Peeves? He hasn't been in the films yet and it would be too late to esablish his character. I will miss the terrific line: "Give her hell from us, Peeves." That wont exactly fit in without a Peeves....heh, there could just be a random bystander that this is directed towards, but that would be just plain silly. Anyway, I can't wait to see this part and its sure-to-be-sensational special effects and such.

I would love to see that part in the movie. I don't think it would be cut though. I n another part of the forum they were saying that peevees has been confirmed to be in the movie. That means that he has to be in the part were they say "Give her hell Peevees" or something to that effect. I can't wait to see how it comes out.

I am Really looking forward to this scene! It will probably be my favorite out of the first 5 movies! in fact I can almost garentee you that it will be. the only other one that could even rival it would be the wand scene in the graveyard in Harry Potte and the Goblet of Fire!!! They absolutely can not I repeat can not cut that part! Like I'm sure they might make it shorter(but I really hope not!) but man, Fred and George.. of Gred and Forge.. lol well they just make everything funnier. They remind me of myself... I don't think they will cut this scene as they can't cut fred and george leaving hogwarts as it sets their next moves to open the joke shop in book 6. the scene really shows their personalitys so they can't cut it the film wouldn't be the same without it
