OK, I have decided to start a thread that is entirely about poster's ideas. This isn't one of those threads that you answer questions and I rate you, this is simply a thread where you can discuss your ideas.

Peritia'a Potions and Plants
313 Babbling Brook Blvd & Diagon Alley (located on corner)

Sell - Potion supplies such as bezoar, knotgrass and nettles (to list a few)
- as well as certain potions themselves - blood-replenishing potion, love potion, swelling potion for example (in small vials of course), no polyjuice or felix felices - (It is our policy to not sell critical potions in their entirety that can lead to disasteroous outcomes. However, the supplies to make them are sold, and we take no responsibilty for your actions if caught in an illegal situation).
- Magical Plant seeds (mandrake, devil's snare)
- Actual plants (asphodal, hellabore, gillyweed, Mimbulus mimbletonia)

We also sell cauldron's, new or used and some self cleaning and other supplies such as cutting knives, stirring rods etc...

Store is shaped like like a giant cauldron with a large tree top (face and all - picture tree beard's head/from LotR) protruding out of the top of the caulron, two tree arms protruding out of the sides holding a large stirring rod, mixing the cauldron's contents. The caudron changes colors and patterns continuesly and the tree parts remain a light green/brown montage.

We are open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm Mon-Fri and 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on saturday and sunday.

1) Where would you open it? diagonally or hogsmeade because i have always dreamt about opening up a shop in there.
2) On what street/what section - You can create them? lol this is fun um cattlewood street
3) What would the stores's name be? Triquatra
4) What genre would you sell? give a couple of examples - you can make up your own. um potions, little herbal recipes, cleansing things, spells, amulets and talismans and other protective specimens.
5) Describe the interior and exterior appearance/ size, shape, color, moving pictures etc... um i would want it to be big. i would like it to be an out of ordinary shape where it looks like nothing goes in a proper place, it would have many demonstrations on what i would sell and what they would do, and many other wizard artefacts.
6) What are the hours of operation (and days) 10 am-7 pm, 6 days a week. closed on sunday.

I would have an outside cafe aream with baby blue tables and umbrellas, the inside would be somewhat big. Different sized table scattering the floor. The picture of the walls would be of different flowers. The wall colour would be Dark blue. Table would be baby blue same as the outside. There would be a bar area with a display place for the cakes. And there would be bar chairs for people on-the-go.

6) What are the hours of operation (and days)
The operation hours would be:
Monday: 6AM-8PM
Tuesday-Saturday: 8AM-9PM
Sunday: 5:30AM-7PM (Special Breakfasts on sundays)

Since I opened a potion Shop, I would have to visit Boil,Boil Bubble and Trouble for the name and triquatra for protection amulets.

I think they are all splendid shops. I addition to my potions/plants shop, I think I would like to open a pub.

All sorts of drinks from butterbeer to gillywater, Only main courses and appetizers, no candy or junk food.

It would look like a rooke, a castle piece from chess, small enough to fit in the middle of a street but enormous on the inside. It would be stone on the outside with windows all aournd the bottom and two large windows on top - one in the back and one in the front with purple and teal banners attached to their window sills - teh banners will have a giant mug in the middle, that is continuously overflowing. The inside will have 10 round tables located in the middle (all teal and white marble), And booths all around the outer ring (with purple and black marble tables). The kitchen is located upstairs and food is sent down to the bar located in the middle of the 10 round tables. The floor is made or cherry mahogany and the ceiling is covered in butresses hanging chandeliers over each table.

Fri - Struday 10:00 am - 12:00 am

yay you can make more. lol that sounds good, i would go there because i hate stores that only serve junk food so i would go there.

1) Where would you open it? in london but it would be like the leaky cauldron, only wizards would be able to see it.
2) On what street/what section - You can create them? i would magic a street with nobodys knowledge just wizards knowledge. i would call my street GodWorth St

5) Describe the interior and exterior appearance/ size, shape, color, moving pictures etc... it would look like a big glass house but it would be enchanted to look like that. inside it would be huge, bigger than hogwarts. it would be designed to look like that animals natural habitat, the place would get bigger and bigger as more and more animals came and would get smaller as more animals are sold.

james pickles - awesome, I was leaning toward a magical pet shop, and this one is definitly a hundren steps up from Eeylops Owlery. I would definitely have to stop by and purchase a kneasel, thestral (even though I couldn't see one - I am very bad at directions), a snowy Owl like Hegwig, one of those furry things that find treasure, and a loyal dog - magical of course. OOh, can you purchase House-elves their too, I need one of those, I am a mess.

Lol, well I was actually thinking of getting some breeders in my shop so they could make other species of magical animals and of course you can have a house-elf, we sell everything. I was also considering portable patronuses. If a dementor comes near you, you just throw this ball at it and it will turn into your patronus, no incantation needed. My shop also sells potions made from animal parts such as feathers etc. Please remember everyone that we only sell animals to those who we think can love them and care for them.

design, construct and sell wands (like Olivander's) but i would use a more extensive range of magical cores (not just phoenix feathers, unicorn tail hair, and dragon heartstring)...what bout Thestral mane hair, Manticore stinger, and Madcap heartstring.

It would be a very grim looking place on the outside, aged and romanesque, and with a big gothic style gargoyles. Inside however, it will be well organised shelves behind a desk. A waiting area, and a space where i can size each customer up and choose their wand...or let it choose them as the case may be!

10-7 weekdays

Ah alas Padfoot313 I am afraid you cannot. Dobby is a free house elf and can serve who ever he wants to. You can ask him if he could work for you on weekends and you would give him a good pay and he might just work for you and then you could cuddle him and treat him fairly. You are welcome to buy any of our other house elves, we have just recently got a baby house elf, you could take that for under 20 galleons, or you could buy an adult one which is 35 galleons.

I think I would like the baby one, so I can create a bond from a young age. I love animals, my cat is the fattest, chubbiest, cutest feline and I spoil him so much. I have had him since birth actually, and he has never left my side, he is MY cat, and we have an undesrtanding. He knows my voice, smell and when I am sick or happy. When I am sick, he lays on my chest and keeps his neck near my throat. He actual smells my breath, and wines when I start coughing. when I am laughing, he jumps on me ready to play. when I come home he sits there and waits, I feed him, he sits on me until he is ready to go out. He sleeps by my head at night and paws me when he wants to go out.

I don't necessarily want a house elf to do that, but I would like a friend, not a servant. I am a major slob, so a house-elf that enjoys cleaning would be nice. I am an excellent cook, so we could cook together. I am getting to in depth with this, sometimes my imagination run wild.

Well we have a selection of magical cats and non-magical cats. If your cat wanted, we could offer him a lady friend. Some of our magical cats are very intellegent, some have a few magical abilities to aid you in your potion making and spell casting. So if your cat feels like a lady friend we would be glad to offer one to him. We have just got this magical cat in that has been abused by her owners. They are now having a hearing at the Ministry. I think she needs to go to a loving home and a man in her life would be a bonus for her. You can have her for free as long as you promise to take care of her. You can also buy a portable manshion home for the two of them that is just over 15 galleons.

See also Triquatra where we sell herbal remedies to promote growth for kittens inside the cat. Just slip a couple of drops inside the cat's food if she if pregnant and you will be sure to have healthy kittens.

Excellent, I'll take her. Sebastien would love a female friend. Plus I think that longer I have him that happier I'll be. THere is only one issue, he has already been neutered. But I am sure he will be happy just the same. I don't think I will take the mansion, Sebastien is a lap cat, likes to be with people and on people as often as possible. I think that they will be happy without it.

On the outside it would like a cozy, little cottage. Inside would be colorful and cool! I would have some couches at the front so people could hang out with their friends there. I would have moving pictures of magical creatures in my shop.

A Candy Shoppe, OOh I love Candy. However, I think the name is a bit Muggle to be in Hogsmeade. "The Magical World of Candy" is appealing to muggles I think, but for the wizarding world, I think it needs a little more strangness, more flamboyant and ostentatious head line for witches and wizards to want to go.

What sorts of candies, everyday things or tricky items?

Your right about the name. Hhhmmm. I think I will change the name to... The Sweet Tooth Owls? Then I can have a picture of three little owls eating candy in the front of the store. Does the name still sound a bit too mugglish?
I would sell tricky kinds of candy! I would definitely have a lot of chocolate there! I love chocolate!

I think that "The Sweet Tooth Owls" is perfect. That store name sounds like it belongs in Hogsmeade now. Good choice.

I myself am not crazy about chocolate, I am more of a lollipop person, but to each his/her own.

A store that sell good things of entertainment for students. For Example, a game of Tic- Tac Toe where the X's and the O's fight at the end of the game. And also other thigs that would appease adults, Such as a game of hangman where the game thinks up words for you to guess.

The exterior would be very bright and flashy, things to catch the eye. The Interior would be painted colo(u)rs that change as you walk by them.

Harry_Potter_Fan A double purpose store, for those with a sweet tooth and defensive desires. Interesting, I guess you would never know what the person going in is going to come out with. I like it, but I think the name is too long and broad, otherwise, good one.

You know with all you candy makers, people are sure to have decay and tooth ache. Maybe you could make a candy that clears up decay and is tooth friendly or something. Just a suggestion.

I like the ring to it, sounds fun, and ypu can't really figure out what it is from the name, I like it when it is a mystery. Perfect.

I agree that their are bout to be some obese witches and wizards if all these candy shoppes open. Perhaps someone out there would like to create a healthy and helaing store for those who spend to much time in out sweet shoppes.

Ooh... This should be fun!!

I've allways wanted to start a bookstore/ice-cream parlor. Personally I love to eat ice-cream or some other delicious treat (chips, cookies, candy...) while enjoing a good book. In my shop (located in Hogsmead and Diagon alley, I don't care to specify the addresses) people could eat and read, hang around if you will, all day if they felt like it. It'd have a special corner of nice, fluffy armchairs and beanbags for comfy reading sessions and of course some tables for those who like to eat around them or have heavier books.

I'd also like to have some books there for borrowing. Not every one have money to buy them so they could just come and read them there. I don't think I'd like to lend them at home though... I would hate to have to try and collect them later. (I almost allways forget to return books to the library in time myself )

Elowanda's snacks an' books would be open for business when ever there were customers so 24/7 basically. Those who like to be up late or extremely early (like me) could all come and there'd be no shame in falling asleep on the sofas either..

I have one word to say for you Sinister. GENIUS! But if you have chocolate and ice-cream wouldn't it melt onto your fingers and then when you picked up a book it would be all over it. Perhaps a self cleaning spell on books lol. But if you borrow the books, how do you know you will get them back? Unless you cast a return to owners spell or something on them activated every two weeks or something. I dunno. I will be come to your shop everyday! Brilliant idea.

5) Very hip. Bright colors mostly purpleish pinkish yellowish. Posters of up-and-coming wizard artists. Stations set up to listen with charms and stuff to block out other noise. WWN blasting in the background. Cool light fixtures, lots of open space, glass windows etc.. etc..

it is a normal size gray stoned building, with a big window in the front with signs of my books and cafe and stuff. and the doors are like dungeon doors. and the inside is like (the tent in the forth movie where is is small on the outside but big on the inside) an there will be moving pictures floatinf about. with enchanted fake wands floating making it look like they are about to cast a spell.and it will be AWESOME...so come on down to Spells 'n' Stuff "Your One Stop Drop For Evertthing You Need"

I have created a store

1. Where would you open it? Hogsmeade, it will appeal to Hogwarts students of all ages
2. What street/ section would it be on? Wizard Rock Avenue, on the corner across the street from Zonko's
3. What would the store's name be? The Wizard Rock Cafe
4. What genre would you sell? give examples: Wizard rock and roll memorabilia, items and records by Weird Sisters, Celestina Warbeck and other famous Wizard and Witches rock and roll groups. But this store is also a dance club not only where you can drink and dance the day away but also try your luck at Karaoke. Get up in front of your friends and foes alike and sing to your hearts desire. Also included Muggle tunes for those that want to walk on the wild side.
5. Describe interior/exterior/size, shape, color moving pictures etc.: The exterior is brightly lit w/ red and blue lanterns, there are four small tables outside as well in a small garden area covered w/ ivy . The interior has a long drink bar that is lit up bright blue, there are several tables placed about on the dining floor, each table is lit up w/ bright blue and green neon lights. There is a dance floor that has flashing neon lights that are blue, green red and yellow that flash to the beat of the music. There is also a small stage at the front of the dance floor that has three microphones on it, a large screeen behind the stage with a bright purple and pink light show. And up on the stage a Karaoke machine sits w/ over one million Wizard and Muggle songs alike selections to chose from.

I think my shop would be perfect for people like the Creevy brothers and such. No slytherins

It would be a tiny Building but once you step foot inside it would look like a huge library.Comic books of all kinds....even muggle ones.Shelves o f Action Figures of every wizard from dumbledore to Merlin. I would have pictures of some of the great wizards on the walls and the walls would be brick red with a lovely fireplace in the middle with some chairs for students to read.

4) I would sell Wolfsbane and ingrediants for making Wolfsbane. Basically i would sell anything that would help werewolves. Also there would be a safte house near or with the shop where people could retreat to on the night of a full moon if they had no where safe to go. Also there is a hospital ward and councelling area. they offer advice for those people turned werewolves who need the help.

5) Looks like a normal building . . . painted white on the outside (white like the moon) and the building looks like a mansion type place and on the front "Luna Healing" is written in very fancy silver writing. It has large windows, looks very welcominh and posh and rich. the inside is elaboratly decorated with silver light fittings, white walls with paintings of the founders of the shop and people they have helped. the furnishing are all rich, silver and red velvet sort of look. and there are rooms to the standard a person requires to stay in for a few days.

6) Open 24hrs a day, every day. you can not garentee when someone will need help.

HPFan792 I would visit just to see the famous players and buy all the products they were using - goo dIdea - needs a little sprucing up inside though - other than the moving pictures I mean. I like the bright colors - I think the best for the outside would be for the colors to constantly change - each time it changes into a different team's colors - that would be wonderful.

gryffindorgirlieVery interesting, I think Harry needs all the support he can get - but once it is over, all the shop will become is a memorabilia store - I think it is too specific - maybe broading it to all magical hero support would rack in more money. I like the xtensive moving pictures though.

Annasor This store will appeal to people like Ron and Dean - I never thought of a magical store for this - good one (the interior seems a little muggle though - jazz it up a bit.

mjane95 I love the healing store, anything to cure the ails of the magical is must appreciated - it would limi the amount of Hospital visits and appeals to those who can't afford extended stays - I like the white and purple - simplistic - healing isn't a funny business - good call.

K.Lupin_werewolf I like the specialty store - one purpose, but it is only open to a limited crowd and would be targeted for Greyback and his gang. Just be careful in who goes in and what they are - I like the glitter look for a gloom business - nice touch.

This is what my magic shop would be like:

1. Hogsmeade.

2. Next to the Three Broomsticks.

3. Giggle Dust.

4. Well i don't know anything specific, really just anything funny.

5. It would be about the size of a house maybe a bit bigger, it would be purple on the outside(to make it stand out) and blue in the inside and it would have a big sign above the door that said Giggle Dust in pink letters with a fairy writing out the words with her wand.

6) It is open every day from 9am to 10pm.

Everyone has wonderful ideas! In particular, I am a fan of the pet stores, I would purchase an owl, cat and house elf however I would pay my elf and treat him or her with respect, they could wear any clothing they wished and basically act as my companion! The potion stores are interesting and I would also be interested in purchasing an amulet.

Anyway, here is my store!

1) Most definitely in Hogsmeade, I will reveal why I have chosen Hogsmeade shortly.

2) Parchleaf Lane, the store would not be on High Street within Hogsmeade because I would prefer the store to be secluded and mysterious, however at the same time, I would like the store to be surrounded by cheery cottages with large gardens, towards the mountain Sirius once called his home.

3) Bedazzled Books - a simple name, not listing everything sold within my store however, there are other goods and nibblies as well .

4) I would first research books that are not easily accessible at Hogwarts, I would include informative books to aid Tri Wizard champions, books such as Moste Potente Potions and of course, Hogwarts a History. I would also offer novels for the young witch and wizard and Quidditch magazines. Furthermore I would sell couldron cakes and pumpkin pasties as well as hot chocolates and pepper up potions for cold days . I would also sell magical wool that prevents you from ruining your knitting and wool that changes colour according to your mood.

5) There would be several windows and also a welcoming fire place and many comfy lounges and cushions embroidered and in warm colours such as red and purple. There would be reading nooks and a loft as well as a cat who would keep the readers company . My store is within a cottage with a lovely garden of jasmine and yellow roses. A sign on the door and gate will read 'Bedazzled Books'.

6) The hours of operation would be 9.00 AM until 7.00 PM everyday except on Monday however if a book is needed urgently then something could be arranged .
