In My humble opinion David Tennant was exceptional through all his scenes in the film. He was perfect for Barty crouch J.R. as he oozes madness. I dont know if you can watch it over there in america but He is also the new Doctor Who and shows insanity in the two short performances I have seen. Also could someone explain this because i missed a bit of the book. Does barty juniour get the dementors kiss.

I agree, he was brilliant as Barty Crouch Jr. I didnt really like the tounge sticking bits, but its not his fault that Nevell thought that was needed.
I loved his face when Moody turned into Crouch Jr and he said "Lord Voldemort has returned". (i loved how he sad that and not what he said - Kloves should have known that Crouch Jr. would never dare call Voldemort on his "proper" name. He always refers to him as The Dark Lord. And so does Snape, btw.... mad.gif )

I too thought he did really well, but also didin't really care for the tongue bits, but I guess they had to be there. It seemed as though he got carried away at the end though, right after he drinks the veritaserum and confesses everything. Earlier in the movie is was more out of the side of his mouth, but then he's lashing out to the front like a snake or something. O well. And yeah, I'm interested to see how the crouch jr going back to azkaban thing is goign to play out.

i think that in OOTP movie there would be a moment in the begining that harry will ask why the ministry dont belive dumbledore about voldemort being back? and someone will say to him that crouch jr recieve ( by accident) the dementor kiss and couldnt declare to the minister and tell him all the truth

in that aspect newell did a bad job, he only cared about making gof and didnt care cuting things that were very important to book 5, so i see an even more difficult job to yates to include all those important informations that newell didnt put.

Spider22
I didn't really notice anything about him, there wasn't anything to say he was acting, I suppose this is the sign of a brilliant actor.

Well, yeah he does get the dementors kiss in the book. They shouldn't have cut that bit in the film. In fact I think it would have been good to get a shot of him like after it happened, you know, looking all kind've spaced-out. twisted.gif Heehee, that's evil. Oh well.

like everyone else, i thought he was brilliant!! he portrayed BC jnr so well and he really did seem like pure evil!!

ummm.. i didnt think he went back into azkaban, he got the dementors kiss, he has no soul, worse than death, i didnt think he escaped from azkaban with bellatrix and the others?!

I thought he played the part wonderfully. he was really good at playing Barty Crouch Jr. He was at the OOTP premiere. Does anyone know why? Does this mean he's in OOTP?

OMG I JUST realized that David Tennant was Barty Crouch Jr! Well, maybe I knew but I'd forgotten or something. David Tennant is freaking awesome! I didn't like GOF, but I LOVE the show "Doctor Who" which is the reason I'm familiar with this actor. If you haven't watched "Doctor Who" you should. It rocks! Now I find myself wishing that BCJ was a more important character so that David Tennant could make that movie better. Oh well.

I loved David Tennant in GOF. He played his part so well. I wasn't really keen on the film though. I also love him in Doctor Who, I love that show!

I love David Tennant as an actor. I just find it a great shame that he has to cover up his accent in most of his roles. He is very talented and as a fellow Scot I must say he does us proud^^
