This Topic is simply in memory of Sirius Black. If you love Sirius then please say something in his memory.

Sirius was a brave, clever, and entergetic man, and such men are not usually content to sit at home in hiding while they belive others are in danger.

Ah, Sirius, my love. What a brave, noble, loyal, and may I mention, extrodinarily handsome man. You may be gone, but never forgotten.
BellatrixBlack
Sirius was a very brave handsome man. It really is a shame that he had to go, we only knew him for 2 years. His memory will live on forever.
kreacher_the_house_elf
Sirius. Ahh from here things for Harry go steeply downhill with his main father figure gone..... sad.gif
Mrs.Black
Sirius was the best character of all, and when I heard that he died (I had the misfortune of having been told he would die before I read it) I was completely shocked. So, when I read it I cried, as I'm sure many of you have...and I was left with a memory of a great guy. He's coming back, no matter what you guys say tongue.gif

Gah! I was trying to do that but I couldn't edit the title! o_O Lol, and to think I've been around here longer.....

Anywho, yes, it was terribly tragic of Sirius to die....but I think he died the way he would've preferred to die...you know, to die fighting.
tashluvsdan
I agree w/ NastyShort, he died the way he wanted to.. which is sad really, but at least he died loyal. Ahh, I love Sirius.. he was all about taking the risk especially on Harry's behalf.. which to me looks like he TRULY cares about Harry. Well of course he does! There's more but you've all said them already.. biggrin.gif
babyharmony
Sirius was a good man, but I do not believe that he will never come back.

Why? Because he's Sirius! Lol!

And besides... he fell through the veil, and even though the veil is something you can't come back out of, I think that something will happen... ah well.
Ems
I love you Sirius! And I am so sad you are gone! sad.gif Please can we find out more about you and the Marauders in the next book! rolleyes.gif

Ah Sirius, our favorite black dog... we shall miss you.... sad.gif

Anyway, the part I really cried at was when Harry was throwing things in Dumbledore's office... Because that angst... I could really relate to it...
kreacher_the_house_elf
Yeah all the sadness that would've been coursing through him - I think that DD handled the situation poorly - I know you probably disagree with that but awww well..

RIP Sirius Black.....

mouldenj@upweyhs.vic.edu.auSirius Black was my fav characture. and know........and know he is dead *cry*

[SIZE=1][COLOR=gray] i miss sirius a lot & i'm sure most of u did. cried the entire night when i read about his death. I'll seriously miss him in the 6th book, but i hope that something miraculous happens and he comes back somehow. he had become somebody who was more than just a character in my most favourite book, infact he seemed so real to me, as if he were a living person that i knew and cared about. sad.gif I still cry whn evr i reach the second last-last page of the chapter of Beyond the Veil. Infact, i was so upset i would smile and suddenly i'd feel terible. Let his soul rest in peace.
ibeehoneyduked
Yea I was sad when Harry was throwing things in Dunmbledores offic too. sad.gif
hermione_rocks
i miss siruis... he wasn't my favorite character but he was a huge part in harry's life and it's so sad that he's gone already i mean we've only know him since poa... i didn't cry when he died.... but i was pretty shocked, i was like hey did i just read that... i had to go over it a couple times before it got inside my head.. but sirius is probably going to be in the next books even though he's dead, maybe by another way of communication... R.I.P. SIRIUS, you will FOREVER be in our HEARTS!
Naz
i miss sirius too. it hurt me becuase it was all harry had, and his hopes were so high up to leave the dursleys and all that. i wonder how he will be in the next book!! sad.gif

Of course I was extremely upset to see Sirius die (and have become increasingly upset with each of the 20+ times I've read "Order of the Phoenix," might I add). He was among my favorite characters and his death was obviously one of the saddest, most emotional scenes of the series (due to the fact that losing Sirius was much harder on Harry than watching Cedric Diggory die). As horrible as it was to read, however, I also believe that Sirius's death has an important place in the larger plot. (I could talk about the implications of Sirius's death for a while, but as this seems to be a mourning-type discussion on this thread, I think I'll save that for later.)

Overall, I think that Sirius's death was the greatest -- okay, maybe "great" was the wrong word -- the most brilliantly written part of the series. The thing that I consider most profound about the scene is that Sirius died innocent -- and after quite a guilt-ridden life. Sirius was locked up in Azkaban for thirteen years for a crime that he never committed and escaped from prison with only his illegal Animagus form for protection, all the while considering himself responsible for the death of Lily and James since he was the one who suggested they use Pettigrew as the Secret-Keeper. These circumstances would bring out the worst in many people, yet he died never having had used an Unforgiveable Curse (to our knowledge, which is pretty extensive) and never having had murdered anyone (which is more that can be said for many of the other characters including Harry, who used the Cruciatus Curse, however ineffectively, against Bellatrix Lestrange). Even in his final battle, Sirius goaded Bellatrix and was indeed involved in combat, but there is no evidence that he ever tried to kill her -- it seems that she was mainly cursing him.

To me, the life of Sirius Black is a symbol of innocence, and although he was a rather moody, brooding character, he is the personification of good will.

SIRIUS BLACK HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME HERE! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
well im not being mean but it hink it might be good that he died cuz it mnay be VERY important in book 6 and 7 wink.gif .

Oh Sirius! sad.gif I loved you a lot. You were and are my favorite character! You were a very good godfather, the best! Why are you dead? You were brave, nice and funny! I think about you the time and forever. wub.gif

Harry is indeed learning that this time of his life is becoming rougher, especially after Sirius' death. But what else can make him stronger? As other have said... And if J.K. Rowling were to bring him back, I would be disappointed (I love Sirius just as much as you guys), because Harry would assume that nearly everything could go correctly in his life, and that is not what he needs during the war...

Yeah. *nods*

we luv you sirius!! sirius was really cool. *sniff*

At times of sorrow to our loveable Snuffles, Padfoot, Sirius Black, we must look at his wisdom...

"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."

"What was there to be gained by fighting the most evil wizard who has ever existed? Only innocent lives, Peter."

(To Peter in 3rd book) "If you made a better rat than a human, that's not much to boast about."

(To Peter in 3rd book) "You should have died! Died rather than betray your friends, as we would have done for you!"

"This is how it is - this is why you're not in the Order - you don't understand - there are things worth dying for!"

"I'll look for him later, I expect I'll find him upstairs crying his eyes out over my mother's old bloomers or something...Of course, he might have crawled up into the airing cupboard and died...But I mustn't get my hopes up..."

(To James in 5th year) "Reading between the lines, I’d say she thinks you’re a bit conceited, mate,"

Praise such a great man, who went through life as a convicted murderer, where he then faced death himself when everyone realizes he was no murderer.... (can you understand what I say?)
sarah_luvs_tom
Sirius...how I miss you dearly. You were my favorite character. You were like a father to Harry. You were a teenager trapped in a however old you are body. You were a good friend to lily and James, going to Azkaban and everything, then going into hiding just for Harry. Sirius i will never forget you.
audreypotter123
sirius is not dead!!!!!!!! i'm not in denial i know he's not!

God! I'll miss him so much in the other books! sad.gif
He's my favorite now and forever !

BOOOOO HHHHHOOOOOO. I am very much in mourning still about sirius, and until Harry gets closure, I will not stop mourning.

What can i say about sirius - he was sooo SMRT!

He was loyal, and loveable, and innocent, and kind. All of which can be taken from his Animaguis (sp) form. Simply put - you had a friend for life, if you had him on your side. He made us laugh with his chasing his tail, he made us cry with his love for harry. He made us want to be character he was, and with all of his moodiness, it was for good reason. I would be very angry with the world if i was locked up in a place for a crime i did not commit. Especially knowing that my god-son is out there, scared without parents. He enjoyed his life, and the many goings ons. RIP Sirius.

(yes i believe he is dead. I believe that we will be able to see harry communicate with him, how i have no theory, but i do believe that this is not the end of Sirius Black, that he has merely gone on to the next great adventure)
Ian Adams
Sirius's death really threw me for a loop. I definitely had a lump in my throat as I was reading that. Especially given that Sirius never had his name cleared.

The other thing that had a huge impact concerning Sirius Black's death was the identity of his murderer. Bellatrix Lestrange is about as evil as it gets, as far as I'm concerned. I consider her an equal to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named himself. Now both Harry and Neville have Bellatrix Black Lestrange at the top of their most wanted lists.
elsie
one very good thing we can say for sirius was that even though he was only part of harry's life for a short period, he meant more to harry than anyone can describe.
blackisback
poor cute inocent black you did so much for harry and james you were best freinds with lupin and james (wormtail aswell) you are strong and brave and sporty and i still do not believe you are gone come back black. we love you.
PurpleForge
Ah Sirius,
What shall Harry do without you?
When I read that fateful chapter, I cried him a river (pun intended--sorry laugh.gif ). His death was so quick and brief that I barely had time to register. I mean he fell through the veil and Harry sprinted off after Bellatrix. He was just...gone.
When I read the part where it says that the laughter hadn't quite died from his spent once handsome face, my heart broke. It is just so unfair that he was blamed for selling out his own best friend, and then confined to a prison of his past in Grimmauld Place. He was a bright handsome young man with an even brighter future whose desire to fight against Voldemort to save innocent lives killed him.
He was a great Godfather. Ron even comments that he must really like Harry to eat rats (or some kind of rodent) for him.
He was a free spirit. His loyalty, intelligence, kindness, and sheer brilliance will shine forever on in the hearts of those who remember him.
We love you Padfoot, may you rest in peace.
*Bows head in a moment of silence*
Sidenote:
His name was cleared, Ian Adams. I think Fudge tells the muggle Prime Minister that Sirius never really commited the crime. I think that Dumbledore may say that the Ministry cleared his name but I'm not entirely sure of that, so don't quote me.
K.Lupin_werewolf
sirius black ... great character. when i read the chapter i shut the book at his death. i was like "no way!" i left the book for a while.
he was a great character, the only family harry had and a "brave and energetic man". and he was innocent and he had the chance to prove that to the world....

Rest in Peace our most beloved friend and faithful companion...
Dementika
Sirius Black, Snuffles, Padfoot was my favourite character from the books. I really missed him in the sixth book. I loved him for what he was, for who much he loved harry, for who much he loved freedom and justice, for how much he loved james, for how much he implicated into harry`s life, always carrefull, always watching, i loved him for his persuasion that made him come to hogwarts in POA and trying to hunt pettigrew, i loved him for his devotament to harry that made him eat rats and still the newspapers other wizards throw and i loved him that he came in the ministry of magic trying to rescue once again harry...

Moon(I luv you Luna)
He was a brave man, always looking for adventure ... he wouldn't take any insult thrown at him (Look at him and Snape) and i think we all loved him as much as he loved harry. He was a memorable person, we'll never forget you Sirius!

Sirius Black. May he rest in peace. sad.gif
HermioneClone
Sirius was a wonderful person. He was honest and courageous. He died the way he lived, bravely and loyally. He will forever be missed!
He was such an important figure in Harry's life, and they had such a short time together. sad.gif

Yes, in HBP in the first chapter, Fudge is talking to the Prime Minister and tells him that Sirius was innocent, and that was another thing that backpowered on his time as MoM.

awww...sirius...my favorite character. I made the huge mistake of flipping through the book before I read it. Then when I saw the page full of capital letters I naturally stopped to read it. I was devestated when I saw what was happening.
He had such a terrible life. During his childhood he grew up in a family that was completely different then what he stood for. He had some good times during school. But then a guy goes and participates in the murder of his best friend. He gets framed for it...and killing thirteen people...and goes and spends the better part of his life in Azkaban. He finally gets out but has to live off rats for about a year. Then he goes and is boxed into his mother's house, not allowed to stick his nose out the door. When he finally leaves his house, he's murdered by his cousin, leaving his best friend's kid behind.
I mean, I guess the part that really got to me was Harry's reaction. It was awful...to hear him yelling like that. He just lost the closest thing he had to a father that he ever had.

I'm still allowing the faint hope that Sirius is still alive, but as of now I hope he rests in peace.
the_animagus
Sirius? What to say about him. (I could go on for pages and pages!)
But I think Layla summerised his lifer pretty well. I was sad that he died so early. I was devastated when I read about his death, and a lump appeares in my throat every time I reread book 5. I was kinda hoping he will live long and get his freedom one day. Though his name was cleared, but he never knew it. And that was the saddest part of it all. sad.gif
I hope Bellatrix dies a painfull death.

But I'm hoping and praying that there was some way he could come back.
Seriouslysirius
I'll miss Sirius too. Hence Seriouslysirius.. laugh.gif

I looked through the book and saw that SDirius died before i read it. It was a shame..

His life wasn't great being accused of helping murder two of his best friends.

Sirius had a cruel life he deserved better.

But i do not thing Sirius is dead, i beileve he will come back.
clara morgue
Oh Sirius..,.,.

Thinking about it, Harry didnt really know much about sirius until after he died and he saw him in the pensieve but never mind, he was still a big person in harry's life..

Hermionieclone, yeah he did have his name cleared, but after he was dead. I'm sure he would have prefered staying a 'criminal' and being there for harry than dieing a free man. Even if that was what he would have prefered for himself, he always thought about harry and the people he cared about. To die knowing that he couldn't help harry any more must have been so hard for somebody as caring and loyal as him.

in loving memory

ps: seriouslysirius, i think we all hope that he would come back, we always do when it is somebody we like, but i dont think he is going to come back, not properly at least...

R.I.P SIRIUS!!!

i am at the momment reading hp. 5. and it just makes me so upset to read about how u pset sirius is about staying in that house all the time. and then knowing that he will die later in the book just makes me want to cry all the time throughout the book. he was like one of my ultimate favourite characters and he was the closest thing harry EVER had to a realy loving family member.
It is also so upsetting to read harry's reaction to sirius' death....

Sirius was a great man who will always live on in our hearts.

We will miss you, sirius, snuffles, padfoot...

Well i suppose but the reason that i think he will come back is because i don't know if you guys saw but on VTM's home page some weeks back. It said some of the titles that J.K would have done for book 7 but she chosse Deathly Halows. Instead one title was The Deathly VEIL. It's not much to go on but i think i could be involed with Sirius comeing back.

Siruis was one of my most favorite characters in the books and I hope that his memory and his sprirt will guide harry through this next book :-D
fany_monkey
oh *sniff* i cryed so much when sirius died! i was reading it for the first time at school and everyone was like why are you crying? lol i answered sirius died!
he was strong, brave, funny, an over-all good person who cared about others! he is my favorite character besides fred and george! everytime i read OotP i cry which is weird because i've read it so many times but it's still really sad!
i don't think sirius is alive but i'm sure his memory will help harry in the dificult task ahead!

I refuse to accept the fact that Sirius is dead. I am foremost a Sirius fan!!!! I love him - this should be a given by my screenname.... anyways, he may have gone through the veil in OOTP, but my gut is hoping he returns somehow in DH!!!! Anyways, until he returns, R.I.P. to Sirius Black.

I do not believe Sirius is dead. When ever anyone has died from a curse the wands flash has been green. When Sirius went through the veil it was a red flash that was seen coming from Bellatrix's wand. I am certain that this is of significance.

So I will say RIP becaue thats all he is doing, having a rest!!
