A lot of the characters listed were "must-haves". Sirius has to be in the fifth film in order to die properly (sniff...sniff...) but Tonks may be eliminated for time constraints. That would make me so mad!!! Maybe they'll give her a part here or there. She has to marry Lupin in the seventh!

I would hate it if they cut out Tonks because she's one of my favorite characters. I also want Lupin to come back and Luna to return for HBP

I will literally kill myself (I am suicidal) if they dont put her in the movies. But i will stay alive because veritaserum.com says they will tell everyone who they are casting as luna in january (what a nice birthday present for me) luna is such an asset because she teaches harry how to be an individual

i chose tonks because i love her as a character and i would be deeply upset if they cut her. i dont think they will but i think she would add a little humour and drama so i dont want her to be cut.

Snape..because Alan Rickman's just perfect in Snape, and because he's daaamn sexy!! lol and they can't cut him out of the movies..who will kill Dumbledore then?

Snape, definately. For two reasons...
1) They can't cut Dumbledore's murderer out and then in the sixth film come back with him again, right? Would seem quite strange Plus I think there is more about him than meets the eye. Or what for would JKR have told Rickman how Snape will develop before he even got into the first movie.
2) I just love Rickman as Snape. Okay, he's about a gazillion years too old for the book character (sorry, I think Rickman is quite a nice guy but he simply doesn't look like 35. Not even with all the make-up in the world) but after all he's really playing brilliantly - bringing all the small emotions or non-emotions of Severus Snape over very very nicely

Other than any of the main characters I'd be upset if Neville was cut from any of the future movies. Throughout the movies and the books we've seen Neville's charcter develop and I'd like to see it to the end. Also, I'd like to see more of Luna, and where she and Neville as well as the others are in the future.

I voted for Luna Lovegood. If she was cut out, it ruin the entire movie. Of course, they would never cut her out because they already cast Evanna Lynch.

even though earlier i in a different topic forum i said that i didn't like snape the character i would hate for them to cut him from the movies. alan rickman does such a phenominal job i would hate for him to go. not have him torturing harry the way he does in the movies would be a bummer. sirius wouldn't be so sad to see gone ,even though i love him, becausehe's going to die and leave anyway. snape has to stay!

I just put Lupin down, but if anyone from that list didn't return I would be kind of sad and it wouldn't make sense. I don't care if Romilda Vane wasn't in the movie I mean they can just mention her giving Harry the chocolate and then Ron can eat it and we know what happens from there.

I would picket the movie if they cut all the Snape scenes from ANY movie. They gyped Alan Rickman when they only had him in "The Goblet of Fire" for only 30 minutes. Snape adds the maturity I'm looking for in the movies. He makes them worthwhile watching. Alan makes Severus really sexy. My God, the way he annunciates certain words, the expression on his face speak volumes. He adds that ooommmph to Snape's Character. Without him the movie would be a "kid's" movie. I would still see it, but he makes it worthwhile for me as a fan.

It is the most likely one they will cut out, because she really doesn't have an important role in the story. I guess her an Lupin getting together may have some effect on the story, and I would be really mad if they did not include her in future films.

i would be most upset if they cut out Tonks from any of the movies she is going to be in OotP and she better be in HBP and i think she is going to have a big part in the 7th book/movie because (im hearing sirius is cvoming back and tonks blamed herself for his death so if he comes back then she will be a good part.

Like the majoroty have said I would be distrot if they cut out Snape. He is one of the key characters!! In OoTP his memory helps Harry realise that James wasnt as wonderful as he fist thought and he teaches him Occulemcy(sp?). And if they cut out Snape in the 6th movie then there is basically no point in making the movie! They might aswell cut out Harry and Dumbledore from the movie too because HBP is all baised on Snape for he was the Half Blood Prince!!!! And if they get rid of Rickman as Snape and put in some random wannabe then I will never watch another Harry Potter film...well maybe I will but i wont buy them on DvD! There is no other person who suites the role other than the sexy Rickmister! LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM!

Lupin might be my favorite character, but as much as I like him, I would definitely be upset if they decided to cut Snape. He's one of the most interesting characters, and it's a good thing if the people who don't read the books - but only watch the movies- already get used to him before movie 6 In my opinion, Snape wasn't even as much on screen in GoF as he should've been, so I really hope the directors make it up in movie 5. I'm totally against replacing the actors they have now, but I'd rather see actors replaced than characters cut.

I would be most upset if they cut Sirius or Snape but I seriously doubt that any of them will be cut that are on the list except for Romilda who I believe might be cut because she doesn't do much in HBP except for the love potion so I can live without her. The others would be harder to cut because most of them are important and are in the order. Seamus must be included because of his and Harry's row in OOTP and Dean will be included for his affair with Ginny.

i dont want any of them to be cut. i wish that the movies were more faithful to the books, but i really liked luna, but i have a feeling that she will be cut, cause i dont think she will contribute enough to the overall story of the movies, and it is too hard to fit everyone in in just 2 and 1/2 hours.

I really would not like it if any of the characters were cut out, but the one that would upset me the most was if Snape was cut out! He is such a crucial character and I would die without knowing what happened to him. Alan Rickman is, in my opinion, a great person to be Snape. I hope he never has to be replaced for any reason!

We no Luna is in the next filim but what if they cut out her in future i would go insane (it happened before lol) and if they cut out Tonks I would have to kill someone because her and lupin are made for each other so if they cut her i would kill the directer (it happened before lol)

Anytime the directors in Harry Potter decide to eliminate characters, I know they do it to save time and money. It just makes me so mad.

Had to say Luna as she is one of my favourite characters.

She does not have a major part in the books after OOTP but would hate it if they dropped her.

I would also hate to see Snape been killed off - he is another favourite of my characters

Sirius I hate the fact that we are losing Sirius but his character has been killed of so not much we can do.

Now one that has not been mentioned is Dumbledore - i would be devastated if his character was not have any further part in the book. I know Dumbledore has been killed of but feel that he will still play a big part in the last book and be around in one form of another.

Of course Snape! If for instance they cut him off in OOTP (which they won't), he will HAVE to appear in HBP, because of what happens, and it will look weird if he "magicaly" reappears. Besides, in OOTP Harry has the Oclumency lessons with him, and for me they will have to put that in the movie cause it's important to the storyline, I believe it would be important to put that part.

I'd be really sad if they cut out Neville or Luna , they don't play a huge part in book 6 , but even if they have hardly any lines , they'll still be there , becuase 2 randoms students can't just diaspper from school . Also , they most deffinitly wouldn't cut Snape , he plays a key role in Book 6 . And Sirius well...dies in book 5 , so he wouldnt be in future movies anyhow (unless he micrasouly comes back in book 7 )

I would be upset if they cut neville because then the prophecy wouldnt make any sence. Also, i emagine neville will have a bigger role in the next book. If they cut him now, it will be hard to bring him back later.

Ahhh, I'd be sad if they cut anybody out!! But I'd probably be most upset if they took Snape, Sirius, Neville, or Luna out. I've always wanted to see how other people portray Luna and it would be really sad if they took her out. Snape and Sirius are just too important to get the axe, but still, I'd be angry if they'd get taken out. And Neville is just... Neville. You can't really take him out. He's too cool!

I chose Snape because he is obviously essential to the story. If he was cut, the story line just wouldn't make any sense.

The easier question would be who would I not mind them cutting. I'd have to say Dean, Seamus, and Romilda Vane. I can't see them as being important to the plot. Everyone else has some kind of connection to the main story line and needs to be kept in the loop.

Without her mollycoddling everybodyand without her motherly moral sense, a part of HP atmosphere will disappear. I would miss her if she is expelled. She really is an unique character, a funny woman and a great mother, I think.

Lupin! I was sooo annoyed that there wasn't very much of him in Order of the Phoenix! And I'd be mad about it if they cut Tonks in the last two, also. Very, very mad....

I loved how they did Luna's character is the 5th movie. I think they really nailed Luna and it would be disappointing if they got rid of her.

i would hate it if they replaced luns, lupin, or snape, because they have all done such a great job in all the films. it would be really disappointing to see any of them go
