Well it was fun watching the two dance. Ron seemed very hesitant about it !what do you think about it. It made the movie more interesting didn't it?
Gryffindor Rock Chick
I thought it was a hilarious scene. I loved that we get to see Eloise Midgen in the film. I thought that Fred and George mocking Ron was great. I love that Hermione was smirking. The wolf whistle and near two fingered salute was so funny.
Bumblebee
I also loved the way that the film showed that stern Minerva McGonagall was dying to let her hair down a bit and kick up her feet!
As Headmistress, it will be even more difficult to escape that unyielding facade. She must have been a strapping lass when she was young!
Gavr1
They was so sweet.WHen Ron take her weast, haha!Really, this is one of my favourite scenes in thos film! tongue.gif

Yeey, too cute the scene biggrin.gif I like it so much when the twins try saying the 'band of baboons' part 5 times faster <3 Ron's face was perfect four the situation, outstanding Rupert Grint! And The: ' Oi, never gonna let me forget this, are you?' 'Never.'
Mod Edit: Hi, I edited your posted for the reasons Bumblebee explains below, thanks.

Hello, Joy, and welcome to Veritaserum!

If you like Harry Potter, you've come to the right place. There are so many different things you can discuss, from the way that magic works to your favourite TV series.

A great place to start is Newbies Central, where interesting topics for new members are grouped, such as the Introduction Thread with which we can get to know each other, and you can find the answers to questions that you may have there or in the Support Forum.

The Search button is a great way to find topics and discussions that may interest you. All members can start new topics, but I'd like to ask you before you start a topic of your own to please read the Rules and check if someone hasn't started a topic on your subject already, and to make sure that you place your topic in the correct Forum. Reading through the Rules section can avoid mistakes and will keep the Moderators off your back. For instance, I noticed that you used Netspeak in your post, and this is one of the things that is not allowed on VTM. We ask people to use correct English spelling and fully spell out words so that people who are not fluent in English or do not use English netspeak can still understand what you are saying.

Finally, if there is anything you need feel free to send me a personal message (PM). We Prefects are here to help you!

I think it was funny, also. It was especially funny when McGonagall said, "Place your...right hand on...my waist." and Ron looked up surprised and asked, "Where????!!!!" That was hilarious!!!!
HP#1_wee_lil'

Sorry this is so short!!
ILoveHarryPotter07

Especiallty when Harry ask Fred and George if they were ever going to let him forget it. Ron looked totally scandalized though...I can still picture the "bloody hell" face.....
mjane95
It was very funny. I love the Fred & George thing.

It was Hilareous!!!!! laugh.gif I laughed soooooo hard. The look on Ron's face when he's like "Where?!" is priceless!!!!! thumbsup.gif It was one of my favourite scenes.
UnknownLocket
I loved the scene too. tongue.gif It was one of my favorites between the yule ball and when fred told ron to get a girl before all the good ones was gone. i thought it was hilarious laugh.gif The look on Ron's face is one that I'm never gonna forget. happy.gif
Bellatrix
I thought that is was very entertaining. What made it funnier was when McGonnagal told Ron to put his hand on her waist and he said,"Wha?", and when he did everyone wolf-wistled and he removed his hand. The other funny part was when Harry said,"You're never gonna let him forget this, are you?", and Fred and George said,"Never.", and they started dancing. That scene is so funny!
magical_number_7
That was one of the few, really good scenes of the movie. I love it when directors think for a change, and make a good scene like that one, especially when it wasn't in the book or when its funny, or both! But Ron's face when McGonagall tol him to put his hand on her waist, that will be in my mind forever. To bad the rest of the movie couldn't have been as good. sad.gif
xXTonksXx
i loved this scene! it was so funny! i loved when fred and george were pretending to 'dance' along with the music and were trying to say 'a babbling bumbling band of baboons' five times fast!
Spencer Potter
*Snigger, Snigger* "Somethings about to burst outta Eloise Midgen but I don't think its a swan!"... "Mr.Weasley, will you join me please?".. *sigh*. "Hold out your arm and extend it, and put you arm on my waist." *WHISTLES* "Where!?!?!" ... "On my waist Mr.Weasley!"

Aha I can remember that line like I watched it 20 seconds ago, I love it, specially the band of baboons! happy.gif
Phoenix92
Awwww! That was too funny,Spencer Potter!.Thanks for writing down the dialouge. It was too funny. The expression on Rupert when he was asked to put his hand on McGonagall's waist.Even if this wasn't included in the book,it did make that film a bit more interesting.I wish it's more interesting in OotP.
twiggysun
the face rupert makes when he says "where?" is soo funny.. I couldn't stop laughing!!!! I saw it in the theatres twice with the same friend and the second time whe just looked at each other when the scene came up and started to laugh so loud, people where looking a bit weird at us... woops
CursedMagic
Hahaha Yes, Loved That Scene Oo I Just Realized Its What I Have As My Avatar.

haha Yea That Babbling Band Of Baboons Is Funny Too '' Try Saying That 5 Times Faster''
Seriouslysirius
Yeah that was a great scene. It was really funny. Babbling Bumbling Band Of Baboons. Think was good because i just tried to do it and failed..
It was one of the best humor parts in the film.
Dementika
I enjoyed that scene too! Fred and George colored the scene also with their wonderful and spontaineos jokes. I liked the part when McGonnagall says: "now, take my waist" and Ron "WHAT ???" smile.gif) so enjoyable
hpangel94
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! It was funny, I loved the scene it ruled, I laughed for like five minutes straight! woot.gif

Normally, I am determined to hate scenes that were in the movie but not in the book, but this one just fit in so well that it was hard to beleive that it wasn't in the book! Fred and George's characters really exploded in this movie, and I think this scene really showed that.
I thought it was really funny how Ron was up there waltzing with McGonagall as a 'demonstration', and Harry, Hermione, Fred, and George are over there on the sidelines smirking and Ron with that murderous look on his face... if I were McGonagall I would've gotten out of there FAST!
"Now, put your right hand on my waist..."
"WHERE???"
"My waist."
*Somebody wolf-whistles*

I loved that scene so much!!! smile.gif
Ginerva Weasley
I loved the scene where minerva was teaching the students to danc and when ron had to watls around the room with his teacher completly embarresed and it added some more humour into the movie and it was three sylabols for ya fan-tas-tic I saw the whole movie four times at the movies in i think one month or half or a couple
HermioneClone
That was a very cute scene. It was very funny. I loved Ron's expression and "WHERE??"
I loved Fred and George there, too.
My grandmother was over at my house when that was on. . .she had a good chuckle at it, too. smile.gif
Hilly
I thought that was such a great scene! (though completely and totally unneeded) They camptured the moment perfectly! The Weasleys as a whole just made that scene so much more enjoyable! Ron was completly and utterly disturbed and then the twins making fun of him! They are truly big brothers!
Nawal
I really loved that scene. The scandalized look on ron's face made me laugh so hard,I kept laughing continously for 2 minutes! And when Harry said to the twins:'Never let him forget this, are you? and they said:'Never' and they acted to dance with the music. It was totally hilarious and made the film even better. happy.gif
Moon(I luv you Luna)
It was ind of funny, but i thought it was a waste of time really. I mean, they could have used that time for the House elf liberation front!

Lol, i liked it, but i found it unessersary (sp?) happy.gif
ChOco
lol, i agree, even if it wasn't part of the original story, it was pretty amusing. the look on ron's (ruperts') face was priceless, hehe. tongue.gif But i agree, they could have replaced it with the whole S.P.E.W & house-elf thing!
robbie1955
While I also think the scene was side splittingly funny, I have a complaint. We didn't see quidditch, we didn't see other obstacles in the Maze, like the sphinx and the blast ended skrewt, but we have this completely superfluous scene taking up film time. Yeah I liked Harry and the twins reactions. I wondered when I saw the Yule Ball whether in the practice session Ron had to lift McGonnagall off the floor, as was done in the real dance. But I'd have rather they spent film on more scenes that were actually in the book.geek.gif
the only one he'll ever want
I found that to be quite hilarious!
Although, yes, they might have been able to use the movie time to add in something else, like the house elves...
It's a tough decision. Too bad they couldn't have done both... magic.gif
Kel_Mithaleil
Just another Wealsey scene to add more humor to the movie! I thought it was hilarious and a nice addition that they put in. On second thought, it tells you how bad Ron is at dancing. tongue.gif
~.:hogwarts.bound:.~
Omg, I'm pretty sure that wasn't in the book but that was one of those random scenes added for the better! lol, I don't think I've talked to anyone who didn't like that!
ollie-hampson
i would've enjoyed it if i was rupert because its just a way to humiliate yourself on camera so why not make the most of it
happy-potter
Yeah. I think, like most of you, that some things could have stayed in the movie if not the dance had been there, but it was so fun! Run/Rubert was just like "Where...?" and that face was just priceless! The movies has to have something funny in them, and I thought it was a good way. One thing on the other hand i found totally unnecessary was the scene where Kakaroff (sp?) was going into the Great Hall with that face on and then closing the doors. That was just misleading people! Off topic, sorry. But to make a long short, I really liked the scene where ran learns to dance. biggrin.gif
amortentia_149
I think it made the movie a bit lighter, and showed how funny some of the scenes can be. Still, though, it was hilarious and made the movie come together quite nicely.

I soon realised that it wasn't but I really think it shoud've been. It's an awesome part of the movie and made me laugh so hard! biggrin.gif
nicky potter
