I know this might seem odd, but I think Fred feels a little something for Hermione. Has anyone else noticed how nice he is acting towards her in book 5? Some of you might say he's nice because they are friends, but he is always commenting or doing little, tiny, things for her.

Anyone else who has noticed this please reply.

Thanks! smile.gif

I noticed this, but I don't know if being nice to her counts as having feelings for her.
Ceres
It's an interesting ship, definately. I wouldn't rule it out, but there isn't much pointing towards it either. The two certianly like eachother, but Fred is a trickster and Hermione is a Prefect... they seem too clash just a bit too much wink.gif... Though I would be cute, wouldn't it?
NastyShort
It would be very cute indeed Ceres......but wouldn't Ickle Ronniekins (and Percy tongue.gif ) be jealous?
BellatrixBlack
Well this could happen, but like NastyShort said, Ron would get very jealous. I dont think Hermione will ever like Percy seeing as how he acted in OotP, though I thin Fred and Hermione would be very cute, but I'd rather she get with Ron if she has to get with a Weasley.

I could never see her with one of the twins. Don't they drive her nuts? You know since they're never really serious and they're always causing mayham. Not to mention that the didn't finish school. Hermione just seems so structered and I don't know neither twin is like that.

But, eh, you know what they say about opposites. Wether it's true or not...

that's a good point, cuz maybe that's what attracts hermione, i mean look at ron. she and him did a lot of Touchy feely stuff in the third book/movie. maybe that is what attracts her. maybe that's what she likes. dunno. though.
Padfoot4Ever
He did seem to be the one always like umm.. arguing with her and talkiing to her it seems. Wel George did too but not as much. I don't know if it would work but it would be cute.
BellatrixBlack
Fred does try to puch Hermione's buttons. But so does Ron.
LuciusMalfoy
I just get a little...I don't know...defensive whenever someone wants Hermione to be with anyone other than Ron.

I'm for Ron and Hermione 100% but I try to be open minded when someone pairs her up with another character (except harry, I can be quite mean then)
MargeauxBlack
I think there might be something from Fred's point of view, but I dont really think Hermione would for for a Hogwarts drop out, and co- joke shop owner( although it shows responsibility, i mean he could be lying around at home). Not to mention how Ron would react... look at how jelouse he gets about Hermione and Victor.
Mrs. Radcliffe
Good point Bellatrix Black.

Hermione and Ron are more likely than her and Fred.
lozza-cm
yeah i noticed but i dont think it will happen...i mean it would be cool and i support it (apart from the whole ron thing) but i just dont think it will happen! besides fred hates rule hermione lives by them...supose that could make for an interesting odd couple ploy though:P
itbrit
i honestly dont think this will happen, sure they were nice to each other, but does that constitute feelings for one another. of course not! and i have my mind set that hermione does like Ron, and that they will end up together.

I agree with this. If there's anyone Hermione will go with, its Ron not Fred.
MIKOH
well, it may happen only just several results will occur:

1) ron will kill himself.
2) before he does that he will kill fred.
3) hermione will follow ron after only two weeks.
4) george will be jealous.

Hello Catherine and Crookshankskitty, remember if less directly stated in the thread; this thread is for supporters only, please. Regardless of there being no venom counterpart because Fred/Hermione hasn't occured in the published works, the staff prefers to keep Ship debating in the GH.

Now that's the first shipping that came to my mind while reading books 1, 2, 3 back in 2001. Fred was always my fave twin and it just felt right, you know, him and Hermione getting together. Now having read all the six books, I don't think it''ll be, but then again, JK likes to surprise the audience, doesn't she? It'll be so cute wub.gif
Sinister_Minded_Slytherin
Okay this little thread just happened to catch my attention...god why do they always do that?...anyway I don't think that Fred and Hermione could be anything [u]but friends because she evidently cares deeply for Viktor (whoo go Viktor!! sorry fan moment...ahem...) and Fred just really kinda get's on her nerves (both the twins do actually...) but their not like...clawing at each other or anything so I think that this ship is entirely for the odd one out that just happens to like odd couples (I do like a few myself so no harm done there) Anyway that's just my opinion so...*shrug*
Phoenix92
Ok this thread is kind of weird, you know.I mean Hermione speaks to them without any sorts of feelings and same goes for Fred.It would be nice if they paired up but it would be a bit awkward, you know.I feel it like that. biggrin.gif
cutepuppylove93
I've noticed that too, but I do think Hermione and Ron will start dating instead.
But Hermione and Fred would be cute, and J.K. Rowling does like to surprise the audience, and that would really be a surprise. happy.gif

biggrin.gif Okay, here are my comments:
  • Yes, I agree, Ron would be devastated
  • Ron would try and make Hermione jealous
  • Ron would never forgive Fred
  • My question is: Why Fred and not George? tongue.gif
  • I don't think it will happen...
We just don't have any reason to believe this ship except that they are opposite sex, and Hermione does seem to be around the Weasleys alot thanks to Ron and Harry, of course...
Mistress of Magic
1. Fred knows darn well that Ron and Hermione have something going on.
2. Ron would have a nervous breakdown, then a seizure, then die.
3. Fred antics would cause responsible Hermione to do all the listed things above.
4. Harry would be wondering what the heck was going on
5. Molly would try to break them up somehow so R/Hr could happen.

Cute at first, then annoying, then darnright disturbing.

Let's not get in too deep here, guys. all we're saying is that it'll really be quite cute if something happend between Hr and Fred.
I completely agree it'll be R/Hr, though.

As for why is it Fred and not George : from my point of view Fred is just the most adorable one. Don't ask why biggrin.gif
Moon(I luv you Luna)
Rule 1# when it comes to shiping:

Never rule out a ship unless it's been proven by canon.

That's how i try to go about ships, even though i support my own. Fred and Hermione would be pretty cute (Who says opposites can't attract!) but i'm thinking that it would be Victor/Hermione/Ron triangle all over again!

(Ron would be pretty Jealous!)

But yeah, i think mistress of magic is prefectly right-Harry would be all like "Ok, did i miss something here?"

Plus, Hermione never really shows anything of a relationship back to Fred, does she? It's either yelling at them for using first years to test products, or nagging them to join spew! laugh.gif

So it's defiently NOT going to happen (Sorry fans) but let's not rule it out-JKR likes to keep people guessing! happy.gif
fresh-pickled toad
that's a nice idea i have never thought of them twoo together but you never know it could happen. Like in her 5th year she was impressed with those invisibility hats and when she went into the fred and george's shop she liked his products. I don't know if that has any effect. But it is a nice idea though ...fred and hermione...
nettle
And why not? Hepmione is with all the Weasleys a lot and in my opinion, if it should be someone from this family, then Fred. She needs someone with whom she would be never bored. Ron doesn't fullfill it, no way. And why not George? He behaves inferior to Fred, that's why. Or maybe not, honestly I'm not sure.
And Fred? His behavior says : "Please, tame me!" and that's exacly what Hermione is able to do.
I'm not a fan of this ship, but don't mind it.
harrypotterluvr1295
A trickster and a Prefect. They would be the PERFECT couple!!! Seriously, even though a couple should be compatible, they would complete each other. Maybe some of Hermione's bookishness (excuse my unintelligent vocabulary) would rub off on Fred, and he would start taking things more seriously, and some of Fred's tricksterishness would rub off on Hermione, making her slightly more carefree.
WeasleyLookAlike
Part of me feels that it could all work and the other part of me says it can't at all work. It could go either way. They do in a way complete one another. This is a ship worth pondering on.
jayden.payne
I have been watching some Fred/Hermione youtube videos. They literally made me cry. I realized that Fred and Hermione would have/could have been a great couple. Why Ron? I always saw Ron and Hermione being the obvious couple. So why not be out of the obvious. Why not Fred/Hermione. smile.gif This is a new favourite ship of mine. I shall be back to post more later !

Hmmm, I never really thought about Fred and Hermione together. They would be totally different, but I guess it would work. It's quite an interesting thought, but I much prefer Ron and Hermione. biggrin.gif
