I would love to get that game! It's so expensive though! it's like 50 bucks! Are the questions easy? I would hope they would have some tough questions for HP whizzes like us! ha ha! It would be too bad for my family and friends though cause I would kick their butts! tongue.gif

I LUV the game sooo much!! I always play with my mom and my brother and everytime I WIN!!! smile.gif

I love it so much! I got it for Christmas and play it almost every day! It has a kinds of really hard questions for us wizzes! I actually don't know some of them! That's amazing to me! I usually win but sometimes my brother sneaks ahead and gets an easy question to win. Someday he might know as much as me!
padfootchick14
I want it sooooo badly. My friend Muddy Freckles got it, and have been trying to get together to play it. I did play the demo online version, and have played other Scene It? games.

I received it for Christmas. I haven't had a chance to play it though. I tried on New Years Eve in teams but all the boys were disruptive and had been drinking and didn't really want to play. It was also too loud and we couldn't hear the rules. I am hoping to play soon though.
Gryffindor Rock Chick
I received the game for Christmas. I think it is really good. Mum and I have played it about eleven times now. I think it is a mind reader though. We were at the Divination stage on one game and I kept on thinking "Why can't the crystal ball show Fleur?" It was Fleur.
Nero
I sooooo want to try it but here im haveing a hard time trying to find it sad.gif I dont see it at wal-mart either but it looks so fun!!! now only if my dvd player doesnt die on me last night it was makeing weird noise's and that wasnt normal!
AQHYAgrl
Nero, look on EBay. They have tons of them on sale and they are cheaper then you would find in Wal Mart or Toys R Us.

You are so right potter's girl! There are some hard questions and my brother does the same thing. He might know as much as me too one day. I also got it for Christmas and am playing it in teams at my birthday party on Friday night. I have played it a few times but not every day like you.

It is the best Harry Potter game ever! biggrin.gif

[COLOR=red]I've gor the game but no-one to play it with so I've been playing it on my own and I LOVE it!!
Padfoot08
I got the game for Christmas!! It is awesome! I also have noone to play with. Noone in my family knows hardly anything about HP except my brother and he's six. My friends aren't that much into HP either, so I mostly play by myself too. It is fun!! The questions aren't that hard though.
harry4_LyF
I lvoe all Scene It? games, and I'm especially saving up my 50 bucks for that. Now my home b-day party won't be so boring...(I know it won't, as I'm getting an i-Pod from mom, and now I want these from my dad!)
ILoveHarryPotter07
OMG..I love that game!!! I got it for Christmas and I have wanted it sience it came out so I like flipped when I got it! It's rather fun but the tiebreakers are sometimes stupid! Me and my brother got whos foot is the longest?!? And we get so into it that were on our feet shouting answers at the t.v!! But no one is really into Harry Potter like I am so I really don't play all that much. My brother only will play once in a while and the questions are relativly easy!!

Everyone is so lucky who has one. In all the places I have tried the games don't work and so they are working on getting new ones out. I've been wanting one for months, yet I can never get one! The stores are either sold out or the ones they have don't even work! Is it really fun?

Yeah I got it for my birthday in November! I love it, it's so fun! Haha I've one everytime I've played it though! I played it over at my boyfriends house and his dad got so mad because I knew all of the answers right away... he was getting angry... so funny! Hahahaha.... oh I love it!!!!!
DarkMark13
I finally have the game!!!! I still play at my girlfriend's house though. I stay late over there till like 9:00pm and her mom and grandparents kick me out!!!! We won't stop playing the game!!!!
hermione_lover930805

You know, it's funny, with my obvious HP obcesion (that my whole family knows about... blink.gif ) I have never played HP Scene It before. What is it like? I have seen it in the stores, pondered over it, but I feel that it would be pointless to play because I know the movies by heart! Could someone tell me if it worth buying? biggrin.gif
mrs_lucius_malfoy
it is SOOOOO good! i beat my mom and dad every time! lol it's one of the best games ever!

Well i got it for my Christmas and only just played it a few weeks ago. For someone like myself who is obesessed with Harry Potter the trivia questions and the questions where you watch a clip and answer a question about it are quite easy, but that is only because i have seen the movies and read the books many times tongue.gif However there are some good little puzzle questions like you're given some pictures and using them have to figure out what the name is eg. i had one the other day was a picture of a car then another car followed by an off switch---- car,car off= Karkaroff. That was probably a bad example but i'm sure you get the idea. There are many other little puzzle questins which are not too hard. I would recommend this game if you can find other Harry Potter fans too play it with. biggrin.gif If no-one in your family(like me) is not really into Harry Potter then i wouldn't recommend it- unless you want to play the game by yourse;f just for fun tongue.gif I end up playing with my mum blink.gif who likes Harry Potter but not quite on the scale that all us Harry Potter fans here in the forums do!!! biggrin.gif laugh.gif
Pixymajik
Mel, I'd say it's only worth buying if you've got a couple of people to play it with!

I've played it once since I got it and I won by a mile- I've got a couple of friends who are obsessed with HP, but aren't big board games people and then out of the ones that I've played it with only one of them is really into it in the mindset of having read the books over and over and bought all the movies--- so it wasn't really a challenge.

It's a gret game though- definitely a lot of fun, but you DO need people who are as knowledgeable as you are to make it worthwhile.
bluephoenix5
i'd say the game was pretty good and a little fun. for me it could have been harder and longer. i kept on beating everyone i played against. it was soo easy for me it's not even funny. i hope they come out with another game that is like this that may be harder, longer, and a bit better. i am not saying the game is horibble but it could have been better at least. still had some fun though.
missmugglebethany
at my GoF premier party it was the center of the night. it was a big point winner for the individual houses. I have played it a couple of times. me and my brother tend to agrue who's more the fan and we're tied at who's won. the good thing is that if your not a big fan but have seen the movies, then theres a chance for those people to play. overall it was good. and cool collectors piece.

I bought this game for my nine year old for Xmas. I thought it would be too hard for her but she plays it quite happily with her friend (and wins). When I've played it with her I found it to be a bit short and not hard enough. They should have levels in it like in PC or Playstation games.
hermione<3
I love that game!!! I got it for Christmas and I played it that day and then the power went out while I was playing...it was spooky.
HPFan792
I was sopose to get the harry potter scene it for christmas but, i did not get it.I havent played it before either and whenever i tried to get it it wasnt in the store so i just gave up trying to get the game.I dont think i will ever play it lol.
Krissy15
Whoa, i am definately out of the loop! I had no idea there was a harry potter scene it game. I am most definately buying it. . .when i get money of course. I love scene it games, and Harry Potter would be a perfect scene it game.happy.gif
Potter_Addict_713
haha. That game was pretty cool. I just wished it gave more on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

By the way. I have been playing it for a while and have not yet seen a clip from GoF do any of you know whether or not there are any clips from th movie in the game?

writer101
Scene It for HP came out before the 4th movie, but they do have some quiz questions involving Movie 4.
I thought this game was so much fun! I got it for Christmas a year or two ago, and it's so much fun to play! Most of the questions are pretty easy, for those of us who read the books over and over, but if you play with someone who's seen the movies but hasn't read the books? They're toast! It's so much fun! It's definatly worth the money you pay for it.
TH3 CHOS3N ON3
i love it. i got it for christmas played it right away crushed my family. Its a good way to keep you thinking about hp if you dont want to read the book again or watch the movie.
Autumn Flowers
my brother and I play it sometimes but we know all the answers know.
Its fun and easy for me
jiggery-pokery
I loathed it.

I was totally dissapointed when I knew the answers to every question not only on the cards but on the TV too. I thought it was going to be really hard! I didn't like the part called Divination on the TV either. I thought HP scene it was supposed to be trivia not "Hey who's that swirling in a crystal ball?"

I did enjoy being able to beat my entire family at it though tongue.gif
witherwings09
The only thing I enjoyed with this game was being able to beat my whole family at it. The questions were really vague and didn't really have to do with trivia, instead they focused more on who can concentrate the most and point out specific details.

After playing a bunch with my brother and sister, it got a bit repetitive so I stopped playing it.
SnakeCharmer74
I loooove trivia games but I guess I'm too much into the HP world because I did amazing on it. So did my 10 and 7 year old boys too. I really thought it would be more challenging, but I was sorely disappointed. However I bought the collectors tin version so it's worth it just for that. It's a nice set and since I haven't seen it in stores, I'm wondering if they're going to make a new one with the newer movies or something

Well I thought the idea of the game was great, but I think they could've added more challenging questions. It would've been a lot better if they would have levels to play on ((i.e. beginners, advanced, etc.)). The questions were just too easy.
Breanna_Justine_Potter
Yes, I agree, the questions were terribly easy! I also enjoy beating my family at it every time we play! They watch all the movies with me, mostly because I drag them into the theatre, or at home I just pop them in, so they know the movies pretty well! It's just the cards that get them every time! laugh.gif They at kind of easy to beat, because I have insiders knowledge of the HP world from being such a fanatic and from reading the HP books, a lot! I only find challenge in one person that I know, but I have only had the chance to challenge them about three times. I also think that the game should have been a lot harder! dry.gif

potter's girl
I also think the game should have been harder, but it is probably only really easy for us fanatics that know those books and movies frontwards and backwards. It is hard to find people that will play against me. Only my brother and dad put up competition somewhat, and they usually don't want to play because I almost always win. (my brother got luky one time) But other than that, it is my favorite game! biggrin.gif

I just saw Version 2 of this game yesterday! It’s in a green box with scenes from OotP on the DVD. Interestingly the box uses the PoA image of Snape protecting the trio. I couldn’t make out quite what the metal tokens are supposed to be… They look different from the first edition.

EDIT 06/22/07
Just spotted the tinned Deluxe Version 2 today. It includes four special edition trading cards.

Version Two? Version Two? You can obviously assume what I'm going to be doing all week...
Has anyone here played it yet? How is it?
HJP/HJG_TrueLove
I think its much too easy besides the muggle questions no one plays with me anymore because i always run the board and no one else gets a turn unless i get a muggle queston
Sofia_Snape
Is anyone who already has the first scene it going to buy the second one? I think it will just be a waste.
I think for the game to be really good you need to be able to play it with harry potter fans of the same age. Otherwise it's just too easy. grouphug.gif
HJP/HJG_TrueLove
Nobody has been here in a while but anyway my thoughts on the harry potter scene it game was that it was much too easy. Anytime I got first roll (and managed to avoid all muggle cards) I ran the board and my friend didnt even get to roll. The game probably isn't made for extreme hard core fans like people here. I have the old version and I kinda would like version 2 to see how I would fare but I wouldnt want to waste money getting an extended edition of what I already have. I might as well wait for the second half of the 7th movie to come out to get one because that would be the complete version.

I love Harry Potter Scene It. I mean, it is pretty easy and I always end up creaming the other people, but its still fun. I have the tendancy to scream out the first thing that comes to my mind in the All Play mode thing. Like, once it was "Guess the Creature" or something like that and the first clue was something like "He fancies Hermione" and I screamed out RONALD WEASLEY and then realized that he wasn't a creature. I still got it right, though, afterwards. happy.gif

It was way to easy! It was all about the movies and nothing else!

It was way to easy! It was all about the movies and nothing else! No books, rumers( sorry about spelling), and J.K Rolling questions.
