Well, recently this picture(more importantly the clip) sparked a bit of interest in my school. And rumours are sort of flying. Have any of you guys seen it?

What do you think of it? Does it mean anything?

I've seen it everywhere. I'm not sure if it's true, but I don't really think it is. Big deal, they held hands, does that mean theyre dating? I dont think so. Dan and Emma have stated everywhere that the rumours aren't true, so I'm going to believe them.

It seems like this picture is real but Emma and Dan both stated that the rumours about them aren't true, we should believe them on their words I guess because of two people holding hands doesn't immidiatly mean that they're in love with eachother, it can also be a sign of friendship.

HP Freak. I think that there is something between them even if they say there isn't because they could be lying about that to cover up that they are dating. Now I can show that picture to my friends because I have been trying to tell them that they are dating.

I was soo excited when I saw that picture! I think Emma and Dan look so cute together- it would be really awesome if they went out. They most likely would have a secret relationship, if anything, but that picture just didn't seem "just friends." I mean, I have a best friend who's a guy, and we're extremely close, but we don't generally go around holding hands. Something to think about.

~VeelaChick~, you said exactly what is on my mind. It makes no sense for them to deny their relationship if they are seen at the premiere holding holds and what not. Also about what you said about her never being seen in pictures with Rupert or any of ther guy stars. That is exactly what I am thinking. I think that they make a cute couple. Also like ~VeelaChick~ said that picture does not look like it was modified.

That picture has been floating around for some time and tbh when I look at it I see two young people who are relying on each other for a bit of comforting in the face of an onslaught of clicking cameras an people yelling their names out so they'll look at them. It must be kinda overwhelming, so I think as Emma has said in previous interviews that the three of them are the only ones who know what it's really like being in their situation and they tend to turn to one another when things are a bit intense. I've seen the way Dan a dn Emma deny the rumours that there is something between them and I really think they are just very good friends, hopefully the best of friends given that they really seem to need it

Ok, that pic is a bit old, it was taken at the premiere of P of A over a year ago. I haven't seen any recent pics of them together like this. I did wonder when I first saw it if they were dating but I think they're just really good friends. I have held hands with my best guy friend before, it's no big deal!!!

Even in Veritaserum news but they've already updated so it isn't there anymore...during an interview he said he loves Emma to pieces but but he just think Emma as his sibling. I bet some of you must have heard about it.

I dont think it would affect the acting but its funny in POA those two all over each other! Always finding a excuse to hold hands and fall on each other etc. Like when they're running from RJ Lupin Dan falls and then they hold hands the whole time everytime they are near each other and running. OMG seriously who holds hands when you're running away from a crazy werewolf? It's so sweet!

I think that Dan and Emma would make a very cute couple. I just don't think it will happen. They are too much like brother and sister. I did see an interview where Dan said that when they were 11 or 12, he had a huge crush on Emma but he grew out of it. So it's very hard to say.

Well, I guess they would make a good couple, but like everyone's saying, they're like siblings. Maybe they had a secret relationship going during PoA... Maybe that's why they were all over eachother. I dunno.

I think that he means what he says. Harry and Hermoine, now that's a good match-up. Not Dan and Emma-who cares?No one (well, not no-one, but you know what I mean) really knows them personally, so who cares? Even if they did like each other, whihc they don't, how will it help us?

I think they're goig out because they are always together in films. My mother says that it's ONLY FILMS and they are ONLY ACTORS. But sometims they aren't such moments in books where there are together but filmdirectors know about their feelings and make special situations for Dan and Emma, do you understand me?

Yeah, in the books Harry and Hermione aren't as half as close as they are in the films.. especially in PoA...

I dont really think they are going out. Maybe Emma likes Dan, or visa versa, but if they were wouldnt the publisity be all over it. Its probably just a rumor, though I do think they would be a cute couple! But If Emma starts going out with Dan, how can I date him, lol, jk!

Now for the Dan and Emma thing. Yea, they might have had, or have something together, but I agree, it would be all over the papers, in the UK probably only. No one in America cares if two British people are going out. I don't, unless the woman's Dan's going out is me.

tom does seem to like emma but i found a picture of dan and emma kissing and this one where they were holding hands and everything. dan SO likes emma and vice versa. and they broke up because they were scared of all the publicity and it would sort of ruin the harry potter series' reputation if they're lead characters were going out publically.

well, my question doesn't really match the subject, but I gotta ask you...

I wouls say that Dan's relationship with Emma is highly unusual. I say this becasue he constantly referrs to Emma as being the equivalent of a sibling....but then at the same time he's staring at her chest (and got caught on camera no less).
As much as I love dan, i have to admit that he's abit confused when it comes unto his relationship with Emma. But then again, Dan isn't particularly known for having completely normal relationships - does being best friends with a 30-odd year old ring a bell? Or perhaps Dan visiting his hairdresser at her house might ring a bell?

i guess with this topic comes uncertainty. they may like each other.. and they may not.. based on what i have read though, he did say that daniel knows emma particularly well and is like a sister to him.. and i quote from Time Magazine, dated December 5, 2005 [my dad has subscriptions.. he keeps them. i keep everything harry potter! Who knows what will happen. I know if I was Emma or Dan I'd be reluctant to get into a relationship w/ Dan because if it doesn't work out she still has to see him and work with him everyday.

Also, I'm confused about Dan saying he doesn't know Rupert that well. I figured all the cast would hang out together after filiming hours. Especially when you are out filming on location none of your friends from home are around so I figured all the young cast members would do stuff together.

HPgoldsnitch, I'm not sure who said that she wansn't but Emma is going to be in OOTP. Go under the movies section of veritaserum and you'll see that she's one of the confirmed actors for the next movie.

well in my view from the very first book, i was hoping that harry would pair up with hermione and when the movies came out, i not only reaffirmed my first wish of harry and hermione in the movie and the book, i actually thought that emma and dan would make a really cute couple, and really cute i mean. so pushing aside what the rumors are about them, i personally think that if these two got together its gonna be like a pitt and jolie combination, in one word.... What you people have to remember is that these 3 kids were placed together at an early age, and in the course of 4 of 5 years, have grown up with each other.

Not only that, they're getting to that point where is less of "Girls! Eww!" "Boys Eww!" to more of a "Girls! Oooh." "Boys! Oooh." And when you have 3 individuals like that placed together, you're going to get the occasional flare up of "romance" that most seem so keen on speculating about.

I can't think of one person I know who got the whole relationship thing "right" the very first time they tried it. There were fumblings all along the way. And these 3 are no different. What I think what you're seeing here is more them being as close to each other as they already are, and using each other as a sounding board. Things are already difficult enough with the stardom they have, so it makes sense they would head after someone else who is going through the same "experience" that they are.

Holding hands, blushing, all that stuff has to be experienced at one point or another, and given the close proximity, it makes sense that you've got a picture or two of them holding hands and what not. Give it another year or two when they get a bit older, and sure you'll still see the friendship there, but you'll also see them move beyond each other and actually start to seek out other people to date.

Daniel has said himself that it would be really disturbing if he did go out with Emma because he thinks of her as a sister. I really disagree with all those rumours of there of Daniel dating Emma and you really shouldn't believe everything you read or hear. Thoe are called tabloids for a reason, people. Daniel's a loyal subject to his friends and most rumours who make your mouth drop open are most likely untrue.

I think that Daniel and Emma likes each other but they just like to keep a secret and i bet you too if you secretly like someone ...anyway it's just the same with them... just to get away from all those anoying paparazzi as we try to get away from our annoying friends and when i say get away i meant it because i had an experience before!!!

To Felicia, i understand what you are try to tell us here but...we are not them so... we can't judge the truth but it's nature for rumours to fly about...without them it could be a little boring ...and yeah he is loyal to his friends but there might be a big unexpected secret deep in his heart that we may not know!

Hmm...well, personally, I found Dan and Emma's relationship like a lot of guy/girl relationships I know, including ones I've had. I have several guy friends, and I find that, basically, when you have a friend of the oppisite sex it's common to flirt a little, and your friend knows it's just harmless flirting...it's just a very common part of a guy/girl friendship.

emma watson just held hands with dan so that i would get jealous and i admit i was so i told emma that i was........now that she and i talked, she apologized in public for this misconception so dont worry everybody...she's still wit me!

i have already seen this picture and another one with rupert and emma holding hands i think the two are already starting to have feelings for each other but by this times they wont admit it yet or maybe they really do feel best friends forever who would ever believe that but let us wait and see...................
