Hiya yelseaW, and welcome to the VTM forums!
I'm afraid images must be posted as links(url) on the boards to save on huge amounts of bandwidth. Yours was one of the largest I've ever seen, and it was throwing the board way out of sync so I edited down, but please remember in the future to link it!
Also if you would kindly read the rules(link in signature); you'll find one liners(quotes and links do not count) are not permitted.
If you have any further questions or concerns please PM either a prefect or mod. We'd be more than happy to help.
Thank-you.

I'm I allowed to post small images like this one?:

No, yelseaW, as Aphrodite just explained. You aren't allowed to post any images at all really, there's just no need when all you need to do is provide a link. It just makes things so much easier for those with slower connection speeds.
Again, the image has been deleted and I would refer people to your first post for the link.

OOOhhh...I like it!!
Very mysterious, much better than that big-nosed Finnish cover!
It kind of makes me want to re-read it! I am assuming that the person on the cover is Snape. Running up the stairs of the Astronomy Tower to Malfoy and Dumbledore. Very creative way to put the "Half-Blood Prince" on the cover!! I also like the sparks from the wand.
The only dislike of mine is the house elf on the top inbetween "JK" and "Rowling".....whats up with that?!

I really like it. It would definitely "spark" interest in the readers. I think that it is the best foreign HP book cover that I have seen in a long time. I don't mind the house elf on the cover. It adds something

Yeah, but the house elf looks kind of.....freaky, no? Its sort of scary, and has no real relavance to the book. Who could it be? Dobby or Kreacher? Neither played a part in the book that can be considered "significant." But still, I think the cover is fantastic and interesting at the same time....

I totally adore the Dutch covers (I'm Dutch myself). Every cover is awesome, doesn't reveal to much of the story but it always looks mysterious. The sparks are really cool, when you see the cover it's like you can touch them (awesome special effect).

On every Dutch cover another "magical animal" is on top between those words

We've had Buckbeak, Fawkes and now Kreacher is the "lucky" one

Well, I must confess the Dutch cover IS better. I have it, too. The only thing I don't like about the Dutch books are some of the translations. (Example; Horcuxes -> Gruzielementen, Dumbledore -> Perkamentus, Hogwarts -> Zweinstein

).

Are you all dutch or what? haha lol.
The dutch covers are nice
but the translations- they suck. In the most countries the names are the same as in english. Why oh why do we have such a stupid thing like zweinstein and gruzielementen or whatever

really hate that.
Horcruxes sounds good in dutch... Besides, that word is more latin than english, isn't it?

I like the cover, but I thought Kreacher was supposed to have a pig-like nose?? Or maybe I'm wrong. The cover does evoke a sense of enthusiasm to read it though!

I also like the cover. And I agree with moaningmirtle, that's the reason why I started reading the books in english. I mean why use perkamentus if you have dumbledore (same goes for all the other changed names).

The dutch covers are the best!!! I love reading Harry Potter in english but our covers are better... everytime I see them I want to start reading again
I really don't like the english cover of the first book

Hey that's actually quite good. It's very dark, i don't like Krecher though. I'm assuming that's Snape running up to the Astronomy tower. Very dark and creepy, i like it. Though as i am English i prefer our English ones.
Though like i say it's really good.

I like the dutchcover also...
But I prefer the english and the germancovers. They are simple, not so colorfull...
Hmmm, but it is a good cover.

wow thats a pretty interesting cover but being british i still prefer ours! i havent seen many different covers though only the english versions - both child and adult versions so when i see more i'll get back to you!
i also like the sparks flying about but i dont like the picture of kreacher (or dobby) in the middle of the JK and the Rowling because either way i dont think that its important to be on the front cover.

I kind of think that it may give away too much....like, who's gettin attacked? But then again it also kind of gives a mystery of whats gonna happen. So I do like it

. I hate the American book covers...why am I stuck in such a pitiful country?

Am i the only one who really doesn't like it ..

. i think the one with harry and dumbledore on the front is WELL better. I can't even tell what's in the picture lol. Sorry to everyone who likes it, but its not a front cover that would make me want to buy the book.

Well...c i'm more towards the Dutch cover except of course for the Kreacher thing...but u c the tastes varies with u'r age...like my 4 years old sister prefers the american one....with harry and dumby on it probably bcuz its far more animated....cartoonish kind of...while my mom whos 34 prefers the dutch one bcuz its far more realistic.....anyways

I must say that I really like the dutch covers, but I also agree that the names really suck in dutch

thats why I read the books in english and not in dutch. Hermione's name is translated to Hermelien which always reminds me of the the other dutch word hermelijn which is some kind of animal ><

What do you think about it?
I loved it!! The cover looks really awesome, I think is the best cover I seen yet. I like it more than the American Edition Cover (hardbook).

Well I just looked at it now for the first time and I really, really like it! It's very well done! It's very mysterious and it really makes you want to read the book! Although, Kreacher looks kind of scary... Anywho, it's really well done!

Is it the image where members of the Order try to reach the tower but they can't because of the spell the death eaters have put?

Hm...i like its colors, but i prefer the english one, it actually helped me depict -imagine- the whole cave scene. I didn't like OotP cover, it was way too red and yellow for me. But HBP's cover is fine, i like it just the way it is. Probably more than the Dutch one- sorry!

sorry dutch people, but that is Rubbish, Kreacher is all wrong and the sparks are a bit tame. I prefer the english (adult) cover, which shows a copy of the Advanced Potion Making book that Harry gets from Slughorn, its totally cool

I like it. It is showing the magic hitting the invisible barriar the death eaters set up. And it shows someone i assume it is snape running up with a shadow of the order running up after him.
