i like the moves but think they arent as good cuz they leave out most oof the detail eg the 5th movie will have no quiddich
and ive watched the moves about 60 times (all together) so thats my confeessions

You make very good points. I just cant see why you would want to read anything else! I'm a read-a-holic and refuse to go into rehab! I can't get enough! My mum's a teacher and say's I should get a good mix. DUH!

The whole Voldy/Harry plot. Who could resist not wanting to follow that story through and through! Its great!

I think JK pulls of the great mix of the three and she has the talent of realting to all ages!

Lets see I have read each one of the books about 15 times each, as soon as I get to HBP I start all over again, can't get enough of the HP books I have seen each one of the movies about 50 times each. When I had no cable tv, thats all I did all day every day for like 3 months was watch all the HP movies over and over again, and learn something new every time

I have read first 5 books each 2- 3 times ( i dont have them at home, i have to borrow them in library), I would like to read them more times , but women in library will think I am a freak Well, maybe I am But I bought 6th book, and I have read it 4 times. I dont like HBP very much, its sad, so i am not reading it a lot, only when i have nothing to do. Cant wait DH

I could not give you a number on reading the books. Last summer I read all of them twice in two weeks. I must have read each of them at least five times. Goblet of Fire, Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix has to be at least ten times. I know I have read Half Blood Prince more than any other.

I read all 6 books in 5th grade. Now I started re-reading all 6 again so I can be ready when the 7th comes out! Right now I'm almost done ootp and then I'll read hbp. I hope I finish just in time for the 7th.

I've read them all except HBP about five times at least.I'm currently rereading the whole series before book 7 an I'm on OOTP. I may have read GOF a little more than the others as it is my favorite of the bunch.

Uh, I lost count years ago. I used to read the books once every year, but then I started reading them once every half a year, and now I'm going back to once every year. So probably about ten times or more for most books. I've read HBP five or six times, and my mom keeps yelling at me to stop and read other books. I've seen the movies about five times each, maybe a bit more.

i have seen the POA about a million times and i have seen GOF about the same amount of times.....i have seen COS about half as much and i have seen PS about twenty or so times....but yeah i have only read the books one time trough each....but i have all of them in Paper-back and Hard-cover....and i have all of the movies on DVD....and i watch them regularlly....

As for the re-reading of the series, I'm currently reading Goblet of Fire, and plan on reading the whole series at least one more time before July 21.

I'm weird, so I do them in series, meaning I watch all the movies in a row, then read all the books. I'm on the books right now, so that would mean about... Um, well at least five for the books this year (I can't remember from before), and about five for the movies this year as well. Total, well I've been doing this for almost six years, so um.... A lot, really. I reread the entire series before the next one comes out, then I reread them backwards to look for foreshadowing, and then sometimes I reread all of them with the new one in there just incase I missed something. Same with the movies, though I watch the movies while rereading the books, so I guess I do read them way too much. I guess I just have no life, what can I say?

I'm doing that this year. I'm om OOTP, just a few chapters into it.I can't wait to get to HBP because I read it so fast the first time (I read about half of it anothet time but quit) it will be almost like reading a new book because i've forgotten so much.

I don't know how many times I've seen the movies but I do know that I've read each book twice, except book 6. After the last one I went back to track down any clues that I could notice at once...to be honest, I just found off the wall ideas for theories.

Hmm.... lets see I have read PS like 3 times, CoS I read like 3 times as well, PoA I have read 4 times, GoF I read it 5 times (My fav), OOTP I have actually read it 3 times, HBP I have read it 7 times. I am planing on re-reading the whole series once right before DH comes out to see if I missed a connection of some sort.

I have seen each of the movies aproximately 3 times each at least. I must say that my favorite movie is the very first one (I guess I just love the movie the started it all). I think I watched the first two movies the most is because they are closer adapted to the books although I understand that with the length of some of the books it is impossible to leave all the details in the movies.

Ha, great topic! I have read the last 3 books about 15x and dream about it, or talk about it a lot with my friends. I haven't seen the movies a whole lot though, my mom doesn't really like them, but my dad does! We have seen the 4th movie more than the others, sometimes our local TV station will play them on Saturday nights.....they have been doing so more because the 7th book is coming out and the 5th movie! It is so fun!

I have completely lost count of how many times I have both read each of the books and watched each of the movies. The movies, a range of about 30-50+ times, and the books far more than that.

I own all of the movies so I have seen them like a million times each. My favorite to watch is the 4th because of all the action. I have most of the books but i have only read them like one or two time.

I never skip too, I start with SS end with HBP. I'm on OOTP, going to read them all before book 7. The movies I've seen quite a bit more because it's much simpler to watch a movie thatn to read a book

I have read the books so many times i cant remember some times i read all the way through the series and then start again and when i ant be bothered to read them I listen to the tapes/Cd's instead.
As for the films i dont know how many times i have watched them but its definately not as many as the books. i went to see them all at the cinema and have them all on dvd so watch them whenever i feel like it really

I have read the entire series- including book six a total number of 159 times. I counted. sad i know.

I haven't read the books or seen the movies as much as some people have here. But i think i've read each book about 4 or 5 times and i've seen each movie about 10 times.

I first read the books when i was in 3rd grade and loved them since. The movies are alright but i cant stand them knowing how much they truly skip. I lost count of the number of times i have read the books when i was in 5th grade and i was at about 49 for each book. I am in ninth grade and read the series in order reading one book a week along with different books.

I've watched PS 4 times, CS 5 times, POA 3 times and GOF 2 times. I've read each book once. I hardly ever read something a second time.

Oh boy! I have read each book at[/i] least[i] 10 times, the first, fifth, and sixth ones maybe a little more. Whenever i read the book my brother looks and me and says " wow, harry potter again, ever try reading an adult book" (it steams me when he says it ). My close friend actually is reading them backwards for a change. Harry Potter books are just so fun to read .

i've read the the first book 3 times, 2,3,4, and 5 twice and i'm in the middle of eadin the 6th for the second time. as for the movies...... geez i've seen the movies a bajilllion times each

i have seen the movies quite a bit but i find the books to be a lot funnier and a more interesting pasttime

i've lost count on the number of times iv seen the films and read the books but i reckon iv watched PS about 35 times, COS about 10, POA about 25, GOF about 20. as for the books, they are so good and better than the films i would guess at PS 5 times, CS 4 times, POA 8 times, GOF 12 times, OOTP 10 times and HBP 10 times!

i never really missed an entire part, but i do forget things and i think its good to reread them. Also when i reread them i notice things i didn't notice before.

I've only seen the movies once, except Goblet of Fire I've seen that twice. I've read every book once except Order of the Phoenix & Half-Blood Price. I've read those twice each.

I have seen the 1 and 2 ones the least...probably the 4th about 20 or so times. I have read the books more than 10 or 12 times each...all of them.
