I think that in the end Harry will kill himself. I think that he will need to defeat Voldermort and one way is 2 destroy the 7 horecues, or parts of Voldemorts soul. I think the 7th horecur is his scar the Voldermort made it on the night Harrys parents died. Harry will want to save his loved ones and hated ones and every witch and wizard so he will kill himself and Voldermort will die. So what do you guys think? Who even agrees with me?

Lol. He will not die, I refuse to believe he will. He will kill Voldemort, save the world, marry Ginny, and live a happy life. That is what will happen.

I agree with james pickles that he will not die - cause the only way to kill Voldemort is through love.

I think it would be cool if he and his friends fought Voldemort and all his friends died so in his grief and despair he blows his brains out. Then it turns out his friends arent dead but its too late. Of course that will never happen, and there is a reason I am not the one writing these books.

This is a hard topic! I have been stuck between two things: Harry will kill Voldemort and Harry will kill himself to kill Voldemort. Both seem very valid accourding to the prophecy so it would be understandable if Harry had to kill himself to get to Voldemort. Of course I'm not taking the option of Voldemort killing Harry because that would mean the end, a very dark end indead and I don't think a childs book would contain such a wretched end. You know?

I have a different idea... I didn't vote... For me, of sure Voldemort dies.. He can't kill Harry and survive... But maybe they both will die at the same time... I absolutely don't believe in a happy-ending.. I think that Harry will die... If it won't be so... Well... Poor Ron... For me he will be killed... The book's end will be sad... I feel it!!!

But I think that The Scar won't be a horcrux because it has only become there because of a powerful charm of Lily's that she used to save Harry, and in the first book it said Voldemort can only go into someones body- the 1st book he went in Quirrels, 2nd- his younger selfs body, 3rd he isn't mentioned, 4th he is reborn. The words "Neither can live while the other survives." means that Lily couldn't survive thanks to the Charm on Harry and Voldemort can't live in his own body so thats what that means.

Well, if Harry had to die, it would be likely that he would sacrfice himself for the greater good. But I'm pretty sure he won't die because he is a hero in this series & heroes don't tend to die in those kind of stories unless JKR decides against it! I hope not!

Well, following the development of the whole story (drowning deeper and deeper into the darkness) it would be understandable that the reader is being prepared for a difficult outcome. So I deem Harry dies (also making a sure fullstop for the series). I do believe though that in one way or another he'll die at the same time as Voldemort. And if Harry faced the necessity, he would kill himself. Of course, I'd gladly meet a happier ending, but that would be against the logics of all the story as a whole (unless there's mass resurections and weddings in book 7 - yuk ). So if it has to be grave, grave shall it be.

I vote that he'll kill himself... right after killing Voldemort. After all, he's been through a lot, and he's only 17.... or rather, he will be in the 7th book. And after all of that, he might have a bit of a mental break down after his duties have been completed. And a few seconds is all it takes with magic...

Harry will die for Hermione when Voldemort tries to kill her and harry will save himself and then Ron will finish off Voldemort. I know its kinda lame but its just an idea, I can't think of anything else right now. Maybe Ron or Hermione will die for Harry im not really sure.

This is a hard topic because all we can do is think about it, we have no clue whats going to happen. But, if we look around we can make some educated guesses. So, heres what I think.
To die or not to die thats the question. I think that maybe Harry will be the 7th Horcux, but what i think will happen is th trio will accidently run into Voldemort, they will have destroyed all of the Horcux accept the for the last one. I also think Ginny will also be with them. Harry will tell her to stay out of sight and the three of them will take Voldemort on. Then i think that the three wands will connect for one combined spell and that will connect with Voldemorts wand. At the end I think that all Four will die. Harry will realize that he is the 7th and they will all go down. Ginny will be left to take the news back to the order or at least who's left. Wormtail will pay his due to Harry but it wont be at the end of the book, it will happen in earlier chapters and Voldemort will kill him.
The reason i think this is one JK has said on her page how important and how strongly the trio's wands were connected. I think this is the key to bringing Voldemort down like it or not. She has also said more will die. I think the trio has to help because Harry has always needed their help, their friendship has always brought them out the winner. So i think they all will die together taking him down.
I do think this is a stretch because this is ultimately a childrens book even though its still very much an adults book, so I could see JK holding back and not killing all of them but at least not Harry, but Killing him would give us an end no more is there another one just done. I do think she will be killing several people. Wormtail, Lupin, Bellatrix, Lucius, McGonnagall, some Hogwarts students not sure on that though, and of course the trio. I think Dumbledore in the flesh no spirits or ghost will reappear and I think Snape will stay breathing along with Mrs Malfoy.

I have this kind of weird idea about Harry maybe being a horcrux too, so I guess he'll have to die. So that takes care of the 'if'. The 'how'...that's a bit harder. I guess he'll realise it at sometime, maybe after he's destroyed all the other horcruxes and he's killed Voldemort (however he manages to do that, I think that would be off topic if I mention that though), and then he'll figure that he has to sacrifice himself for Voldemort to truly be gone. But he couldn't just go kill himself, just like that. Maybe he will have gotten himself a fatal injury in the fight with Voldemort so they both die together. But that wouldn't give him time for his swan song, so I guess he'd have to linger a bit first

I'm not sure. I think he might die while killing Voldermort. The would both die in battle and Voldermort would finally be gone.

I voted he will kill him self. That theory about his scar being a horcrux sounds reasonable and I think it might really happen. If not that, then I think both Harry and Voldemort will die at the same time in one final battle. I don't want him to die, of course, but it won't come as a surprise to me.

I believe that JKR will kill him off so no one else can write another harry potter book later... as she kind of stated in that interview

I think Harry discovers a link between he and Voldy and if he kills himself and he will break the bond and Voldy will also die. I think the bond might not kill, but will weaken one greatly. I think when Harry destroys all the horcruxes, he'll kill himself because he knows that Voldy is becoming weak and there are no more horcruxes.

I agreed with all who said that Harry will kill himself. I just think that would be the way he would want to go. Even if it's too terrible to think about, I've made up this whole theory on how he'll die. Dumbledore will come to him in a dream saying that he's the last Horcrux, and Harry will believe him. Then He'll destroy the other Horcruxes and finally kill himself. It would be a sad ending, but I think that that's the way he's going to have to go. *sobs quietly over the very thought*

i think Harry will be another Dumbledore and live to be like 190 and he will have all of this knowledge and everything. Im not sure, im just gonna have 2 wait 2 find out

I doubt that Harry will die, but if he has to, he may throw himself into a spell fired by Voldie against Ron or Hermione or more likely Ginny. Then his love would protect them from being killed by Voldie, his AK will fall back on him again and then Ginny may be the girl who lived...

If I were JK I would kill Belatrix, Voldemort, Wormtail, put other death eaters in Azkaban (except Snape, he is good ), Harry Ron and Herm. would become teachers in Hogwats and THE END. We are all happy.

I have a feeling... that Harry will go through the veil...BUT... the dead within will push him back out... somehow... It wouldnt be a ressurection for we really dont know if you die when you go in the Veil.

I think that because him and LV have such a close bond that he is a Horcrux, and in order to kill LV he will have to kill himself.....*sigh*

harry is not going to die...he can't. i strongly believe that he is going to live. also, i think i read somewhere that JKR in an interview said that... it would be hard killing off harry, she doesn't want teenagers coming after her for killing off the main character, ...or something like that

While I would like Harry to survive the final book, I think he will do a Buffy and sacrifice himself so others will survive. So, I like what Daniel recently said about Harry being likely to die in book 7!

I think it is very likely that Harry will try and defeat Voldemort and in the process will be 'taken down' with him, or will be forced to put himself in danger in the process, and die. One possibility I've read lots is both of them going through the Veil together.

All I hope is that there isn't a cheesy 'everyone thinks Harry is dead and then he comes back'. As goodness, that'd be cliche.

I believe he will not die, though. There are clues going towards his death, yes, but there are also clues saying he deserves to live a long life.
