Nope, nope and Yes!!!

Well done Lachy

Oliver Wood says it to the team, although not during the last match. It's early in their Quidditch days, before they play Hufflepuff even and Oliver is training them all. Since it's his last year of school, he desperately wants that trophy

You're Up

Yah! I have never done this so I don't know what are good or bad quotes. Oh well. Okay,
"I hope nobody else has read this..."
I am so sorry if this has been done. Enjoy guessing!

umm..I think that this is Percy in his letter to Ron in OotP. He doesnt want Harry, Hermione, etc. to read the letter as it refers to Harry...

Sorry, Hermione 14, but it is not Percy in his letter to Ron. In fact, it is a spoken thing, not a written thing. Good guesss.

I am not sure, but could it possibly be Harry saying that about his advanced potions book in HBP?

Isn't it Hermione in OotP, after Harry got a letter from Sirius about where to meet him? She did indeed speak it. I'm not sure about this one, but I figured I'd try...

Feb 19 2006, 10:37 AM
Isn't this from when Hedwig came back injured with the letter, and Harry takes her to Grubbley Plank and McGonagall. McGonagall says to him in private who is it from, and then i hope that no one olse has read that.
Lachlan
Feb 19 2006, 09:25 PM
Good job, Vindictive Dark! Yes, it is Hermione after a letter from Sirius in the Order of the Pehenox. I guess that was an easy one. You're up!

Yay!
Okay, now for a new one. This is probably really easy, but here goes.
"What do you mean, something amusing?"

Feb 20 2006, 03:29 AM
That one, to me, sounds like Hermione in OotP when Fred and George say that they have some things planned for Umbridge, to drive her crazy. The different phases and all. . .was that her response to them?
Vindictive Dark
Feb 20 2006, 03:35 AM
Eeek... no. But it is a good guess. Do keep trying.
Hints (probably vague ones):
-A boy says it.
-It is not in OotP.

Is it maybe Ron in POA ? When Hagris tells him something about the next lesson...Nah, I'm probably wrong...
Hallia
Feb 20 2006, 05:45 PM
That's Malfoy in the potions lesson where only Harry, him and another student are because the rest have gone to take their Apparition tests in HBP, isn't it?

Indeed it is.
Slughorn tells them to brew something amusing. Malfoy says, "what do you mean, something amusing?" Good!

that could be any number of places, but it sure does sound like Hermione. hmmm.....could it be in CoS? doesn't she say that to Ron or Harry or someone while they are making the polyjuice potion. sure sounds like it. I am too lazy to go get the book and look it up, so that is what I guess.
good day,
nymphadora

Feb 20 2006, 09:58 PM
Nope, NyMpHaDoRa, sorry, not Hermione in COS to Harry or Ron. Good guess, anyway. Keep trying!

Feb 22 2006, 02:11 PM
Hmmm, tricky one---
Is it Professor McGonagall? I'm thinking POA where Oliver and Harry are trying to get the Firebolt back off of her?
Not sure... that IS a good one mate!!

It also sounds like something that Mrs. Weasley would say. I'm not sure where she would say it though. Maybe to one of the kids on one of thier trips to Diagon Alley? She gave in? Or something? It's probably the something.

Sirius to Harry in Ootp when Harry tells him about his plans to go ahead with the DA under Umbridges nose. Bet this si wrong, but it kind of sounds right.

Feb 24 2006, 06:42 PM
hmm...I was thinking more along the lines of Wood to the Quidditch team, when either Fred or George say that they're going to win anyways, I think.

And I don't want to give any clues just yet

Although one of you IS on the right track

(Now to work out which one!)
Hermione 14
Feb 24 2006, 10:42 PM
Okay, if Im the one on the right track, then..is it Angelina in OotP, before the match against Slytherin, and again someone has a comment that is positive towards them winning..if I wasnt on the right track then this will sound totally random lol.
-kelly
Pixymajik
Feb 25 2006, 08:44 AM
Almost- You're right in who says it, but not when.
Angelina says it during practice because the Slytherin's have turned up to jeer and be horrible

Your turn

Feb 25 2006, 08:55 PM
It also kind of sounds like Snape to Harry in HBP when they're "fighting" in the forest. . . . or Snape to Harry in OotP when their in Occlumency lessons. (I put fighting in quotes since Harry really wasn't putting up much of a fight for Severus!)

I agree that it's OOTP, but I'm thinking that it's Sirius to Bellatrix right before he gets hit and goes beyond the veil?
NickHilton
Feb 25 2006, 09:38 PM
Yer it is Sirius to Bellatrix, well i think it is, but just in case it isn't then i shall say Lupin to Harry during their patronus lessons.

Feb 26 2006, 12:03 AM

No- not obvious at all mate

I just like Sirius and so tend to remember a lot of his lines--- especially because that scene bugged me soooo much!!!!
New Quote---
"I'm pretty sure this is a boggert"

Is it Molly in OotP when they are clearing doxies out of the curtains and start talking about what's in the desk. . . she thinks it's a boggart, but wants mad-eye to check before she takes care of it. . .
I guess it could be Harry in the maze in GoF, but I don't think he actually said anything out loud when he realized that the dementor was a boggart. I guess I'll stick with Molly.
Unless it was Cedric in the maze (but I can't remember him talking about a boggart either).
Well, this post certainly confirms me as indecisive.
Hallia
Feb 27 2006, 09:16 PM
I'd say it is when they're looking at the table in the drawing room, but it isn't Molly, it is Sirius when Molly tells him about it, and then he says something like "We'll wait for Moody anyway" or along those lines.
Pixymajik
Feb 27 2006, 10:29 PM
Hallia's right

It was Sirius.
You were right passerby with the time of conversation almost- Molly had told Sirius about it at dinner and then he checked it out, but it was Sirius who said the line

It's in book three, right? I think Harry says it to Ron anf Hermione when they're talking about Hogsmeade and Harry tells them that he can't go and they'll gonna have to tell him how it is, becuase he never got his permission slip signed. eh?
