Yay a knew one. Great thanks pigwidgeon. Hmm how can we start this one off

. Ok how many of you when you see ron and hermione get nervous around each other of touch each other can hear love music, I can. Either I am just weird or just obsessed. I think of the song and then listen to it and I imagine ron and hermione together in my own little head. It is really weird but really nice. They were just made for each other.

Hey,we're all obsessed!

Almost every song I listen to that is about love or somthing,I always find a way to refer to Ron and Hermione!
And even just seeing them two STANDING beside each other, makes me say,"Aaaaaaaaawwwwwwww!",or squeal at the top of my lungs!

Same here, all romantic songs i dont think of my self and some random guy, i think of Ron and Hermione.
Though i am jealous of Hermione who gets Ron.

Ron should be my man...but thats beside the point.
We should do somehing for Valentines day for Ron and Hermione

Wow! Fourth thread! Well, like you guys, almost every romantic songs reminds me of Ron and Hermione but those songs that talk about secret love that they can't tell to the one they love really and definitely reminds me of Ron and Hermione. Just like Crazy for this girl by Evan and Jaron. And actually, I guess that song is the official theme song of Ron and Hermione...

For me it's "I Don't Want to Wait Anymore" by the Tubes. That pretty much says it all about Ron and Hermione.
It's cool that there are so many Ron and Hermione music vids out there by fans. Some are really well done.
This brings up another thought. Ron didn't dance at all at the Yule Ball, so we've no idea if he can dance, but I wonder if we'll see Ron and Hermione dance at the wedding? That could be very romantic.
Just the Droobles
Jan 14 2006, 06:39 PM
Well, he knows how to waltz because he did it with Professor MgGonagall. Well, in the movie at least. But I'm sure he's got some moves. It would be neat if everyone danced together at Bill and Fleur's wedding. It would be so sweet! One can only hope!

Woo-hoo!! Fourth thread! Yeah-yuh! Ron / Hermione shippers really are a force to be reckoned with! Sometimes I wonder if it won't work out between them... but then I think, "Nah!"
Anyway, how shall we start off fresh? I'm sure a lot of people who post on this thread have R / Hr fanfics. I have one, but if anyone else has one, let me know! I love to read them!
Hmmm... how about with the somewhat pittiful romantic things Ron does, as well as the good ones he does nearly without thinking? I think the perfume he gave Hermione was a hillarious example of some of the pitiful things he has done.
Anyone?

Well, and I like how there's a part of Ron that's very old fashioned like his "scarlet women" comment. Though I do picture Lavender as being a more obvious type of girl, we all know why Ron went out with her.
He'd never have a serious relationship with a girl who was a Lavender type.
As for romantic things Ron does, yeah there have been a few such as his defending Hermione and of course, the way he held her at Dumbledore's funeral is the best example.
As to fanfic, writing one now actually. I've done quite a bit of Star Wars, Han & Leia stuff but am just now starting Ron and Hermione. I've gotten quite addicted to reading Ron & Herm fanfic, but I confess I usually only like R/Hr fanfic that is in canon, especially 6th year missing moments and 7th year stuff.

Hmm...well, a few songs do, but a perfect song for them is the sweetest thing by U2. I love that song, it's perfect for them, the line I love is "I wanted to run, but she made my crawl."
Fanfic, I love checkmated.com, it does like gernal story stuff too, but it has the best fan fic that's both sweet and sexy. And my fanfic hasn't seen the light of day for a long time.

Question of the Day:
After Ron was poisoned, whether in the hospital wing or once he came out, do you think Ron and Hermione talked about Krum, Lavender and McLaggen?
Or do you think that is still to come in Book7?
My vote is that they haven't. Once he was poisoned, I think Hermione would feel their friendship was a bit too raw to talk it all out just yet and Ron, never one to confront real feelings in this matter, would just be glad Hermione was speaking to him again.
I do think they will hash it out in Book 7 with Harry walking in on the conversation.
Your thoughts?
*hermione*
Jan 15 2006, 11:53 PM
I also think that Harry will walk in on Ron and Hermione talking or kissing or something, because I just can't see them telling him themselves. I mean, Hermione didn't tell Harry about her and Krum, and Ron didn't tell Harry about him and Lavender. Harry found out because he saw them. I think they will start dating and it'll be a secret at first, because neither of them knows how to tell Harry, and then Harry will walk in on them kissing.
That's what I think.

Aah...remnents (sp??) from our previous thread...

Well,
PigWithHair, I still agree with you that they haven't talked about their relationships with Krum and Lavender. It would be out of character for both of them to confront the other and admit they made a mistake or try to genuinly say they're sorry. It is tough for them right now. I do hope we get to hear (well, not hear, read) a conversation of apology or confession or something between the two of them in the next book. That would be soo wonderful! Almost as cool as turning to the exact page you're looking for in a book. But anway, that's my answer to the Question of the Day!
I_Love_BuckBeak
Jan 16 2006, 02:05 AM
For the question of the day,I'd have to say,I see them having a conversation about it in Book 7.I just can't really see them already haveing had one. And,it would be so cool if Harry walked in on them,so that way if they kiss or somthing we actually get to see it!
PigWithHair
Jan 16 2006, 03:30 AM
Yeah, I completely agree about having Harry walk in on them since most likely we won't have it from Ron or Hermione's perspective, which would really be cool.
At least, as you pointed out, if Harry witnesses what happens, we'll get to see it. I am really hoping that we don't get the old "oh, yeah, Ron and Hermione are going out." and that's it.
That would be a HUGE disappointment. HUGE.

Oh, I think all of us in here are dreaming about getting to see a smooch between Hermione and Ron!! I really want it too happen. We've all waited soooo long!!! We're going crazy here wanting them to get together!!!

Harry seems to walk in on a lot of stuff. Maybe he'll walk in on their "conversation"

And I really hope we don't just hear about it. Something silly like
"Harry was in the Great Room the next morning early. Ron and Hermione had yet to come down, which was odd for both of them. Harry looked up. To his surprise, Ron and Hermione had just entered together, and he noticed their hands were joined down at their waste."
Yeah I'm no author, but it would suck if Harry just all the sudden noticed that they were holding on to each other. I want to see it all!!!

i think that when ginny and harry were together, ron and hermione sort of talked about krum, lavender etc......
but we might know about it in the 7th book!
Just the Droobles
Jan 16 2006, 04:33 PM
I think it'd be a little too out of character for them to open up and talk about stuff. They can't even talk about other things properly. But hey, I respect your idea.
Ok, new question: How do you think that Harry will find out about Ron and Hermione, if they do indeed get together in the next book? Will Harry hear about it? Will we actually get to witness a conversation? Or will Ron or Hermione just come out and say it? Let me know what you think!
I'm a second year!!! HOO HAA!!

Jan 16 2006, 05:50 PM
i think that he will hear a rumour about it and then actually ask them but they go red and say no....but he forces them to admit the truth

well thats the best i can think of for now!
PigWithHair
Jan 16 2006, 06:49 PM
Well I definitely don't see Ron and Hermione making some kind of annoucement to Harry that they're together. That would be silly.
No, either Harry will overhear a conversation between Ron and Hermione, or he will walk in on them snogging. Frankly, I'm hoping for BOTH so that we see BOTH in the 7th Book.
I agree that it seems very out of character for Ron and Herm to have talked about Krum/Lavender yet because they've spent so much time and energy not talking about feelings.
Something will act as a catalyst so that they will talk - my bet is Krum returning - and hopefully we hear the converation between them AND see some snogging.
I mean, hell! It's been six books! We deserve both!

lol.......you seem really anxious

well...yea your reasons could happen you never know....
well here is the question of the week:
What do you think will be harry's reaction when he finds out?
please reply!
Just the Droobles
Jan 16 2006, 07:08 PM
I think Harry might've realized there was something between them somewhere around the fourth book. Well, it sure seemed that way, especially in the movie. He was looking at them like...wait a minute...
Harry might have an idea that there could be some interest btween them, but he's got other things to worry about.
I don't think Harry would care if they go out. He won't feel any different towards either of them, but he may feel weird being with them together. Either that or now that they are such good friends it won't really matter too much. Their personalities aren't gonna change too much if they go out. They'll probably still argue knowing them.

But, hey if they are going out, I don't care what they do, I just wan them to hurry up and get on with it!!
*dementor*

i guess.. he will feel well.. to tell you the truth, i have absolutely no idea..l i mean, he will feel happy for the two of them but at the same time, he will feel a bit alienated considering that maybe the times where they only talked about school and other problems that they may encounter, would now be spent with hermione and ron being all giggly and lovey-dovey.. i guess harry will feel sad as well.. because everyone around him is able to be with the ones they love but he simply just can't. =]

Jan 17 2006, 07:21 AM
Have to disagree.
Firstly, Harry does have an idea that something is going on between Ron and Hermione. Recall Herbology in Book 6 when he hears Hermione tell Ron she was going to ask him to Slughorn's Xmas party.
At that point, Harry thinks about Ron and Hermione together and worries about the effects a possible relationship between them could have on the relationship between the three of them and whether or not he'd be left out.
But now, after Book 6, Harry has been with Ginny. My guess is that he'll be glad Ron and Hermione have finally sorted things out and he'll want them to be happy, to have a chance at happiness as he did with Ginny.
His romance with Ginny, I think, has changed Harry's perspective on something between Ron and Hermione. Harry survived Ron's fling with Lavender. Ron and Hermione would be very careful to not make Harry feel left out. So, I think post-Lavender Harry will be much more accepting of Ron and Hermione being together because he'll want them happy and they are both very caring of Harry's feelings.
gryffin_hauz_88
Jan 17 2006, 12:24 PM
My answer to the question on how Harry will find out, I guess, he'll be the very first one to find it out. Why? Because I think he'll be the one who will be the "bridge" to Ron and Hermione's relationship. Though he will be quite busy, he'll make sure that his best friends will be safe if... if he'll die during the final battle... which I pray will not happen... And his reaction, he will be so happy. They are his best friends!
I think Ron and Hermione will make sure that Harry will be never left out. Though I guess, Harry will tell them that he will not mind but you know Ron and Hermione. As I also pointing out in my arguments, Harry is their priority. They think about him before they think about their relationship.
Just the Droobles
Jan 17 2006, 10:59 PM
I definitely think that if they do in fact go out (which of course they will

) Harry will feel like he will become left out, but to his surprise they will include him just like normal. The only difference in the three of their relationship is that Hermione and Ron will be going out. They won't ignore one or the other or any of that. Harry is very close to both Hermione and Ron so Hermione and Ron would never ditch Harry like that. Plus, they are going with him to the final battle so Harry will have a lot of the focus right about now. Not that their relationship will be ignored, but they probably won't be all snuggly all the time. Darn.

I have a lot of things to say right now...
I know this topic was long ago, but I just entered the site to find a new r/hr thread (yay!) so i'll post it...
Yeah, everytime I hear a romantic or sad song I remember Ron/Hermione...and not me/someone. Yeah I even got more butterflies in my stomach by r/hr than when I'm around a guy i like! in the movies everytime they're together in a scene I squirm like a mad girl. Yeah...one of my best friends is H/Hr and we always argue about it.
I think Harry will find out overhearing a fight or a conversation or walking in when they're snogging, I hope he sees both!
I think he will feel left out but ron and hermione wont be too lovy-gody for harry's own good, because he has to deal with a lot of hard stuff so i think they'll act like their loyal friends until they can finally act like a couple if you know what i mean. I hope they remember all that Harry is going through and don't snog all day and that kinda stuff.
Well I've written a million r/hr fanfics...actually one-shots (those are my favorites), they're at fanfiction.net...my profile name is Cristipotter if you're interested.
well I love Ron/Hermione they're the best couple in the whole world!!
james pickles
Jan 20 2006, 06:29 PM
Yeah I sort of know what you mean maki!_proud_r/hr. Ron and Hermione are loyal friends and they won't be a huge romantic couple, just a couple who kiss when no one is around. They do know what Harry is going through and they won't let their emotions get in the way with Harrys'.
Just the Droobles
Jan 20 2006, 10:03 PM
I agree with what both of you before me have said. I don't think Ron and Hermione are the snog-a-whole-bunch type. I think there may be peck on the cheek/lips (whichever they will prefer) here and maybe a hug there. But they won't be sitting on each others' laps or anything. Plus, I think Ron learned his lesson after Lavender. He realizes now that doing all that stuff with a girl isn't automatically give you a good relationship. He will be more careful and respectful with Hermione because he cares about her and he won't want to lose her after that hard work of getting with her.

And he better not screw it up either!!
PigWithHair
Jan 20 2006, 10:31 PM
Agree that there won't be the public displays there was with Lavender. Ron will prefer privacy, as well Herm.
But Harry might walk in on them doing a bit more heavy snogging. That would be fine with me! I hope we get some snogging between them in the book...well, and in the film later.
When do you think they started having feelings for each other? I'd say third year, though there's always been a tension there.

I agree with the thughts of PigwithHair and JusttheDroobles.
I'm pretty sure that the love between them started growing in PoA, when they became teens and started having "hormonal urges,"to say the least.
Ron does respect Hermione more than Lavender and will probably do whatever to make her comfortable with their relationship.
I don't think Hermione is the snogging type and I don't think Ron is either (he was just doing it cos Ginny insulted him). I agree that it will just be a peck everynow and then and maybe held for a few seconds but nothing longer.
HOWEVER, I did imagine, seeing as the book's written from what Harry sees, thinks, feels, etc., that Harry would discover their relationship by walking in on them in a cupboard while they are full on snogging.
Just something I've been wondering about as well: How do you think Harry will react to their relationship? I'm pretty sure he'll kind of just be in shock and then realise that it's making them happy and be fine with it. If he was mad, I think that would kind of make him seem a little selfish, and JKR won't want that.
What are your thoughts?

Lol Just the Drooble and PigWithHair have you been taking psychology? I think if Harry does walk in on some snogging he won't mind. I think it will just remind him even the most unlikely couples who bicker and fall out and hurt each other get together, and that there is still love in the world even though Voldemort the most evil person in the world is alive.
PigWithHair
Jan 21 2006, 01:44 PM
JKR planned this out well.
Recall, in Book 6, in Herbology, when Harry overheard Hermione telling Ron she was asking him to Slughorn's party: Harry was very uncomfortable with the possibility of a romance between his two best friends at that time.
That was before the Ron and Lavender fling, and before Harry had been in love with Ginny.
Going into Book 7, things are different. Harry's reaction would be much different in Book 7 to seeing Ron and Hermione together.
Harry has survived Lavender with Ron, which he was not happy about but put up with due to his determination to stay friends with Ron.
Harry has survived Ron and Hermione not talking to each for months which was difficult for him as well.
Harry has been in love now himself. And he can see, and I think he'll see even more in Book 7 that what is between Ron and Hermione isn't just some temporary fling, but that their feelings run very deep. Now, he'll want them to be happy; to have a chance at the happiness he had with Ginny.
If he and Ginny aren't together again yet when Ron and Hermione get together, he may be a bit jealous at first of their happiness, but he'll very quickly talk himself through his feelings (recall him doing this when Ron received his prefect badge), because he will want them to be happy. He cares for Ron and Hermione more than anyone else, save Ginny.
I can see him reminding the two of them that Dumbledore would have wanted more love, not less.

Lol definately psychology. Yeah I agree. He has matured more and more over the years and he was immature in book 5 I think because of a few statements in it. But in book 6 he has definately grown up so he will accept it.

Hallo beauxbaton1000,
when does ron grab hermio-ninny's sweater? ...and has anybody noticed that Ron looks especially scary and deranged in the fourth movie? in a sort of adorable, Ron-ish way. He always has those huge bags under his eyes, and his hair is scary. I mean, I love him, but AHHHH. I think that those who support anything besides Hr/R are kind of silly. It's obvious from the very first book! those who are H/Hr are wishful thinkers...it's what they like to fantasize about, not what's in your face, but Hr/R is just so much more wonderful--and blatantly true to the book. well, ta for now, roroxxx

Jan 23 2006, 01:36 AM
Actually, yes, Ron does grab Hermione's jacket. It's in the Shrieking Shack, right when Harry pulls out Hermione's wand out of her pocket to throw Expelliarmus at Snape. Right then, you see Ron's fingers come over and hold on to Hermione's jacket sleeve.
It's easier to see in the widescreen edition, but can clearly be seen in full screen, too.
No, I don't think Ron looks scary or deranged in the fourth movie. Not at all, actually. I kind of like his hair longer.
Regarding the ship stuff: it's all in the eyes of the beholder. I have never seen Harry/Hermione in any of the books, and I think it's a big stretch to see it in the movies as there aren't any looks between them and neither is ever jealous of the other.
However, many see Harry/Hermione because they are both from the muggle world.
Some of us have our ships and that's fine. Obviously, I'm a big Ron/Hermione fan (see my avatar), but I also like Harry/Ginny. The actress who portrays Ginny will, I think do a good job and I'm anxious to see her get more screen time as the series goes on.
I'm also anxious for Ron/Hermione moments, though!

No, i don't think Ron looks scary and deranged. I actually love his hair long... it's more like Ron, and plus, he looks even hotter with it long

OK good I thought it was just me

it is easier to see in widescreen because that's when I noticed haha. yeah and I was really
really surprised by his change in hair it's not ugly but like WOW he looks 4 years older with it. its OK though it's all for the flowing hair scene in the 2nd task though (I laughed SO MUCH at that in the theater ... they pick people with long hair as the victims haha). anyways im getting off the point its OK long but a bit weird.

I noticed that jacket scene a loong time ago, i thought everyone did! Eh, well...it is a cute scene! PoA has a lot of cute scenes! 6 actually!
I loooove all the Ron/Hermione moments, I'm looking forward to OotP to see more of them. And I want to see some Harry/Ginny moments too...In prisoner of Azkaban there were a lot of r/hr moments that weren't in the book, so they could do the same with h/g...but i think I'm getting off the point now.
What if in book 7 harry finds out about ron and hermione but they deny everytyhing...just a thought...
I am sooo looking foward to "good luck" scene...I swear I'll cry there, and I'll embarras all of my friends for r/hr sake! lol.
I once heard that Emma didn't want to kiss Rupert (or Daniel) but that was before PoA...maybe she changed her opinion...I hope so!

Just the Droobles,
Glad to see you back! Missing you and Muggleview around here.
Do you think Ron and Herm will put their romance on hold while they help Harry with the Horcruxes and the whole Voldemort thing? Or will they not get together until the end?
I'm hoping they do not put anything on hold. Six years, I'd think, would be enough.
Just the Droobles
Jan 25 2006, 04:46 AM
I don't know how long I have been away from here, but it has been way too long!!!
I think I saw Ron having feelings for Hermione more in the second book. Hee was so concerned when she got Petrified, and he was always so excited when they said the Mandrakes were ready. If your go back and read it, knowing more about them know, I think you can sense his feelings towards her a little more. I'm not real sure when Hermione's feelings started, but they were clearly present in number 4. They could've started in book 3, but I don't remember anything from the books (not movies) that really says it started. Movies made it obvious though. I think the H/Hr shippers all thought it was them because Hermione was constantly worrying about him. But who doesn't worry?
I liked Rupert's hair in GoF more than I liked Dan's. Dan's was really llong in some scenes, then it seemed shorter in others. I liked his short long hair better. And Rupert? Well, you just can't go wrong there.
I remember Emma saying she didn't want to kiss either of them like "that wasn't in her contract!" but that was back in the SS/PS. Maybe she's changed her opinion. She better have, because I wanna see a smooch!! And I sooooooooo can't wait for Bonnie and Dan/ Harry and Ginny on screen. Oh, that will make me happier than anything!
My answer to the most recent question? It all depends on when they actually "hook-up." If they say 'Let's get together' before they go on their journey, it'll be special for a bit, and then they will get back to helping Harry, knowing that they no longer have to focus or worry about the tension between them. They will always look out for each other and have each other on the mind, but the relationship won't be the focus. They both care about Harry enough to know that his matters are more important (as of now) and as friends, they need to help him. BUT, on the flipside, if they wait to 'get together' until the middle of the battle or after it... well then I would just have to strangle myself because they need to hurry it up!!!! I've been waitng since book 2 for them to get together!!
Hmm...I think I'm caught up. Anything else?

Yep. I believe you're all caught up. Good to hear from you!
I've been thinking it would be cool if there was some sort of Seventh Year Ball, that would come off a lot better for all four of them. Could be cool.
Yes, I see your point about Ron's feelings in Book 2 when she was petrified. You're right about that.
I was thinking of three because there was so much fury between them over the cat and the rat. She was upset when Harry was angry at her over the Firebolt, but no where near as she was over her fight with Ron later on.
Are you worried about Ron and Hermione in Book 7? I think they'll both survive, but I also think one or both will be seriously injured, most likely Hermione.
What say you?
