I think this is very likely. They would suit each other. And to get back at Hermione, Lavender would do it. And to make Ron jealous of course. I don't know why Cormac would do it, besides being a 'God's Gift To Women' kinda guy. Yeah, I can see this happening, well if the return of Voldemort didn't mess things up. If there was one more book of relative peace then I'd say these two would be a couple for sure!

i think they go well [together] without the revenge... cormac is all "admire me for my quidditch skills" and lavender is like "ill be your girlfriend if you're cute"

I don't think Cormac and Lavender will get together. Ron only went off with lavender to get some experience in snogging, and Hermione only went off with Cormac to make Ron jelous. ( mission successful!) If they do get together, all that will happen is that they will be quite miserable.. Lavender will call Cormac Cormy or Macky, and Cormac will only talk about quidditch!

That would be so Slytherin of her. Very crafty. But there is that whole thing about Ron using Lavender to make Hermione jealous...so would Ron even care? There's that little spark of anger inside Ron that may manifest itself, so maybe I could be wrong. I mean, he was glued to Lavender's face for a good long while, and he really hates Cormac. But I don't think Ron would really care. He has Hermione.

I love it! Lavender is a girl with an inflated head who loves pet names and romantic action, and Cormack is an egoist, and having a girl friend would certainly boost his ego! I think it is perfect; the only problem is that the tinest fight would break them up because Cormack would be determined to have his way and Lavender would be determined to have hers!

Although its a great match, I don't think it will happen. If it was going to, in my opinion, it should have happened at the end of Book 6. Also, I don't think it would qualify as revenge because Hermione and Ron wouldn't exactly care: my standpoint anyway....

Well with the way Lavender acted with Ron, and how McLaggen acted with Hermione at Slughorn's party, a match between them ought to be one big snog-fest. If Ron and Lavender made sounds akin to a plunger, Lavender and McLaggen should sound like an entire septic-pumping system.

I think Lavendar and Cormac would go out with each other just to spite Ron and Hermione. It would be very funny if they did! I totally agree with Azkabanical on the snog fest. Lol!

I think Lavender would have more of a motive for jealousy than McLaggen would. Lavender was sort of emotionally attached to Ron, while McLaggen -- from what I can gather -- had only a passing (and physical) interest in Hermione. His pride was probably more hurt than his feelings.

Yes, that is very true; Lavender actually cared for Ron, wheras Cormack could not have been very attached to Hermione. For one, Hermione asked him to the party, not the other way around, he only kissed her, and then she left! They dated for one night...... and I am not even sure if it qualified as dating.

Even with that, I think that they would do it just to serve their romance interest, not because they really liked eachother. They might think of it as revenge, but it really wouldn't be.

i think it would be great if Lavender and Cormac got together! it would hilarious! i don't think it would really bother Ron and Hermione, but i do think that they kind of suit each other. i mean Lavender-to me-is just so clingy and would rather be snogging the life out of her bf than do anything else, i think she is also very confidant and possibly a little arrogant at times. Cormac he's unbelievably arrogant, and so full of himself that he deserves a good daily kicking up the arse! and didn't Hermione say that he kept trying to snog her at the party? i don't know i can't really remember. but that would be great because then they won't get fed up with all the tonsil tennis, and they would both really enjoy flaunting their relationship.

This a wonderful idea! They match (sort-of) wqhat with their now mutral hate of Ron and Hermione, and their charctors sort-of click together, in a way that's difficult to describe. I have a feeling that it's not going to be a long-term romance, although it might be!CrazyNutt-Nutt you're right, Cormac does need that daily kick up the backside and I'm sure Lavander will be able to help with this. They would make a great Quidditch-player-hero and his groupie-girlfriend set.
