Chapter 1: A Problem
It was dawn on a July morning and the birds were chirping. A young girl about eleven with long red hair and blue eyes ran into her parent’s bedroom where they were sleeping.
“Get up mummy and daddy! We are going to Diagon Alley today. Hurry up!” the young girl said. Her father had jet black hair and greens eyes that looked like her's. Her mother had long red hair just like her's, too. Their names were Harry and Ginny Potter.
“It is only five o’clock, Katherine.” Harry said as he yawned and stretched.
“So?” Katherine asked jumping up and down.
“I’m getting up to make the breakfast. No point going back to sleep.” Ginny said and got up, “Make sure Jessica, Emma, Kimberly, Tagen, Hayley, Alex, Andrew, Mary, April and Eliott are still asleep, Harry.”
Ginny and Katherine walked down the hallway to the kitchen and made breakfast. Katherine cooked the eggs and toast while Ginny did bacon and sausages.
The door to the kitchen flew open and nine children walked in followed by Harry holding a baby in his arms. “They were already awake.” Harry said.
Then some of the group sat down at the table while Jessica poured drinks, and Emma set the table and Katherine and Ginny still cooked the breakfast.
“Harry, could you take my place in the kitchen because the baby is kicking inside me. I need to sit down.” Ginny said and went and sat down.
Eliott, who was one year old, looked shocked that Harry was in the kitchen and Ginny left. Katherine picked him up and put the food on all the plates. Harry then took all the plates to the table while Katherine got Eliott in his seat.
The family ate in silence, staring nervously at each other and Ginny. Harry and the older children were scared something was wrong with her and the baby. Jessica, who was ten, opened her mouth to speak but Ginny shrieked in pain.
“Katherine, please go upstairs and pack a bag for your mother. Jessica, send an owl to your grandparents and Uncle Ron to tell them Ginny is in labour. Emma, send an emergency message to St. Mungo’s. Kim, get all the younger children upstairs and pack a bag of clothes each.” Harry said quickly and they did what had to do. He went over to Ginny and reassured her everything was fine.
Two healers arrived two minutes latter and took Ginny away on a stretcher when Katherine came downstairs with Ginny’s bag. Harry went upstairs and got all the children to stand in a circle around an old glove. They counted to three, touching it and were transported to Ron and Hermione’s house.
