i think mcgonagall and snape....weird i know but if snape turns good!

Hmmm... The most realistic choice would probably be... hmmm... Flitwick and McGonagall or Flitwick and Madame Pomfrey (does she count as a teacher?). I dunno. Snape and McGonagall seems unlikely, but hey, it could happen! Perhaps Umbridge and Snape -- they're evil enough for each other. They could spend romantic dinners thinking up new plots to ruin Harry's life... And definitely Hagrid and Madame Maxime!

I never though about a Hagrid-Sprout ship before, but now that I see, I think it’s really sweet! Of course, as you can tell from my username, my all-time fav teachers ship is McGonagall and Dumbledore.

it is kind of whack isnt it yeah your right snape will be telling umbridge yeah we can kill harry and umbridge would probably be their just so sweetly listening to the news the most hagrid and sprout is weird because hagrid would have to get on his nees to reach her lol

As someone has said, McGonagall is younger than Maggie Smith in the books. I think it'd be really sexy if she and Snape got together! Something in the line of "Something's Gotta Give", but only with HP characters to make it even cooler.

Like someone said, they respect each other, and I'm convinced that Snape is good (but that's something else).

Then again, maybe I'm just jealous of McGonagall getting Alan Rickman...

I think that McGonagall and Dumbledore is the best one. They're so awesome together, and they're both really spindly with white hair, and McGonagall has excellent practicality, matched with Dumbledore's silliness, but they've both got a good sense of humor, and they both take serious things seriously.
I love them!

my fave is mcgonagall/dumbledore! well, now is imposible, but i liked that one... though i think there'll be no shipping between adults in the books... i think we won't see any of the professors dating each other.
but i still think that dumbledore and minerva make a good couple.

Hmm. most of those kind of creep me out. When I first started reading the books it was Dumbly/McGonagall all the way; but thats a little hard now . Definitely not Snape/McGonagall, I hate that man, even if he does turn out to be 'good'

Dumbledore and McGonagall would be kind of weire, no? As we know that McG is old, about 80 max, but deffinatly not as old as Dumbledore as, and probably not even close. Harry Potter Lexicon says, as of Book7, Dumbledore is approx. 157 years old and McG is approx. 72. Kind of an age difference there, eh?

True, but the older people get the more of an age gap there can be. Like 10 and 15 is entirely wrong but 20 and 25 is fine and 20 and 30 is a little much but 30 and 40 is OK, so, the older you are the bigger the age gap can be. And besides Dumbledore was young at heart. 'was'...

Personally I love the McGonagall Dumbledore ship an awful lot too.
ever since the very first chapter when Dumbledore and McGonagall have their conversation outside Privit Drive, there always seemed to be a certain chemistry between the two characters. Also they have been together soo long (nearly 40 years as far as we know), I doubt any of the teachers have built up as strong a relationship as these two.

i think Snape really needs a girlfriend....not sure who though.....somebody as creepy as he is....haha..no but really

Ok, I definitely was rooting for Dumbledore/McGongall... but that's not going to happen anymore...

So I would say maybe Hagrid/Sprout? They both are caring for magical creatures (whether they are animals or plants), and they both seem even-tempered and caring...

I would have said Hagrid/Grubbly-Plank, but I think Hagrid resents her for doing a good job when she substituted his Care of Magical Creatures class

In fact I don't think Dumbledore/McGonagall could have ever happened because DD is bound to stay alone: he is so wise and intelligent that he is isolated in his wisdom in fact, he has no equal; McGonagall is maybe the one with the highest potential as a partner for DD but she is still not his equal.. great men are isolated from others because they can find no other person that matches them...Plus JKR said something like that I believe in one of her interviews

maybe Sprout-Flitwick would be an ok match; but Umbridge with Flitwick oh my god no! such a darling old man with such a nasty horrible person? no way! Snape dunno with whom he could be, not enough teaching women in this school to choose from!! not Sprout, not Trelawney and not McGonagall that's for sure... anyways he's kind of unwelcome at hogwarts now so it's not gonna happen

I think that Madame Maxime and Hagrid would be lovely together, it would be nice for Hagrid to have some happiness and for someone to love him for who he is , compltely as Hagrid doesn't seem to have had much experience of close-familial love (even thoughHarry loves him, he loves him as a friend rather than as a brother/father) so it would be lovely for him to have a wife. And even though she was a lttle bit mean about the whole giantess thing, I thing that was merely a reflection of her own insecurities (Hagrid has done similar things - like being a little off with Harry/Hermione/Ron when noone took his class) but they got over it in the end and became very close, especially when they woked together in the mountains

I've read a Snape/McGonagall fanfic once without knowing what it was, and I thought it was...sweet... , but I'm all for Dumbledore/McGonagall. Now they're the ones who are sweet together. Dumbledore's got that kooky side of him, and McGonagall can make him see reason and make him more sensible, but then again, she's more crazier than he is at moments, hehe, so I think they would make a perfect couple..except with the... ...you know.

I can't imagine Hagrid with anyone else than Madame Maxime. They know what's best for the other, and I think he's one of the only people who can see her beauty, (Dumbledore seemed to really respect her).

Well I think these are all weird! But for some reason, Sprout and Hagrid isn't all that gross. I suppose because they're both into things that are a little more dangerous and out of their control. They also don't teach in classrooms which makes them a little different from the rest.

Hagrid/Olympe! I mean, I think it's nice that Hagrid gets a bit of action, too. He's already had it tough being half-giant and all. McG/DD doesn't sit well with me... Maybe if they were younger. Haha

i voted other for Madame Maxime and Hagrid. i think they make the best couple, out of the techers anyway. they're both half giant, and have been through alot together.

All and all I find the whole idea slightly disturbing, however, looking at all the options, I voted Dumbledore and McGonagell. now that I think about it, those two are kinda cute...

if i had to pick my favorite teacher couple then it would be Dumbeldore/McGonagall because they are old and very funny but then there is madam maxime and hagrid because that is an awesome couple.
