I write all the time. You name it, I've probably tried writing it. Poems, lyrics, short stories, novels, etc, (yes, I said novels) I'm actually going in between short stories right now, but I've got a major case of writer's block right now, and it isnt good. I get all upset and angry when I cant write. Its my outlet, considering I dont talk all that much. Writing has been something I've had since as long as I can remember. I dont let anybody read a lot of it for two reasons: One being its private, my own work, & I show it when I'm ready. And second I cant stand people critisizing my work. Its not something I do for people to judge. I write because its something I love doing.

Yeah I just wondered if were allowed to post our stories in this forum. I have a story I'm starting called "Ten". Its about ten people that survive after armaggedon. They start their new society, and it gets crazy. They argue about all the things that people debate about today. Vegetarianism, Abortion, Death Penalty, Government Control, War...all that sort of stuff. Its getting developed really well...I'd love to post it here, but if I can't oh well...

Story writing! YAY!
I've started writing a book before but after a little while I kind of decided that it was the worst thing on the planet. But this year I am in a program at school where we have to do 150 community service hours, and 50 of those have to have something to do with creativity. I asked a teacher what I could do and she said to find a supperviser to help me write a book. I thought that was awesome!! But I have absolutely no idea what to write about

Hopefully I figure something out, but suggestions are LOVED.

Well, it depends on what length of story you are writing and what genre.
If it's fanasy, one way that I find good to come up with ideas is to take a dream and build a story around it...that is if you have interesting dreams. I don't but my best friend has really cool dreams so I use hers.

i love writing! poems and stories! without a pen and paper any where near me i would probably die of boredom! i just love to wonder in my imagination and create something for my friends to enjoy. Writing is something i spend my time doing, forget the homework! you'll see me pick up a great notepad and pen and be writing away to the tunes of MCR, Evanescence or whatever else.

The problem is that she knows who she wants to marry and he's a commoner .... Meanwhile Sarah is a servant at the palace. Soon her mystirius work becomes linked with the dissaperance of the princess...

I've written a few fan fics but none are good enough to post them somewhere

I've also started to write a fan fic about Ruper Grint and I am working really hard on this one, maybe this one will turn out good enough to post it somewhere! I am considering to study literature when I go to collegue (in a year) so let's see what becomes of that, because I'm also very interested on studying Veterinary Medicine so I am still very undecisive.
I have a friend who wrote a novel but I haven't read it yet, I hope she lends it to me soon so I can tell you all how it is!
I am certain most of the people here at Veritaserum have writen or at least started to write something, wouldn't it be cool if someone we met here at this web page's forums became a very famous writer one day? I have no doubt at least one of us has a future in writing!

I love to write. I have writen four completed fanfics and I am half way through another one. All of them I have posted on here and I am really happy with the reviews I get. The more honest a review, I believe, the better writer it makes you because you can take what people tell you and improve on it.
Most nights before I go to bed I write if I can, or at least think of what I can add to the story when I write next.
When it comes to poetry, I am really hopeless. It just doesn't sound that good when I read over it.
I
need to start a new story because I like to have a few I can write at a time so I don't get writers block; it just seems to help keep my ideas rolling. My new fic will hopefully be a SS/HG fic but I don't know how to do that keeping Snape in charactor.
Can anyone help me??
I have writen three plays about a poor gir, Andrea,l who is sentenced to death because she disagreed with the Queen who's son she loves. Andrea runs away and meets another royal family whose eldest Princess is engaged to the man she loves so the three girls change the wedding plans so Andrea marries the Prince. Then they go back to the Queen and she tries to kill Andrea and heaps of conflict comes from that. Most of my friends don't like it but that makes me think I should improve them.
Esrb99, what you and your friends are doing sounds really fun and I cannot wait to read some of the poetry when you post bits of it.

I love to write too, but none of my friends who live nearby do. I spent a lot of my summer writing a story about what happens after the movie X-Men 3 because I hated the end.

I also have the start of tons of stories in my closet and on the computer. My first ever idea for a whole book came from Lord of the Rings when I was 7 or so. I've gota whole book full of bad pictures.
I've also written some short stories for school. The best is about a French knight in King Arthur times.
Caitlin in Australia I would portray Snape as really evil and annoying, but I do dislike him very very strogly.
If you're writing it from Harry's point of view he should be evil, from Snape's he could be evil or good however he thinks of himself.

i am really bad when it comes to writing... i don't mean i am a bad writer what i mean is i write too much!
i have several stories on the go... around about...
6 novels!
3 short stories or there abouts
countless poems
loads of songs
and i have started 1...2...3...4... fan fics!!
the first fan fic is a funeral ball in dumbledore's memory with like everybody there; lupin, tonks, the hogwarts staff, some ministry, the trio, the weasley's ect... and they hold things in his honnor like ten pin bowling and there are loads of sherbet lemons, acid pops etc...
the other one is about Ron and Hermione when they have grown up and their first daughter is going to Hogwarts and also Harry and Ginny are in it as well...
the 3rd is about Lupin's Daughter... i just idea that i liked and well it is only fan fiction! and well basically it's the story of how the two reunite...
and the 4th is called "Forbidden Love". this one illustrates the relationship between Snape and Narcissa...
i have cut those stories short, very short they are just the base story lines...
i love writing!!

If i'm grateful for something concerning school, that's the fact that i learned how to read and write. There is no way i will survive without writing. My bag is full of pieces of paper where i've written ideas for stories, rhymes, titles for songs... I love the feeling of inspiration. Have you felt it? It is so amazing, when i'm inspired everything around me blurrs, it's just me and my thoughts. Whenever i'm emotionally vulnerable, i write, and write and write....
I've written many short stories, i've started writing a long one, but i never completed it, i've written several poems and gift cards and of course, many songs. I just write. Observe and write.

writing is also my passion!! and why not everyone's?? so much can be expressed with words...
alkisti - inspiration! i know what you mean!! i am inspired by things i see, things i hear, smells and things i touch.. etc... i look at things and see more that what it actually is... is see another story, another music video, another poem... and i also write when i am most emotionally vulnerable! i feel it flows better then anyways! when i am emotionally vulnerable i feel i can step in to the shoes of my charatcers better and when i look back on thngs of wrote it amazes me how deep it is just because i had had a hard day or something!

I've actually been writing a few things since I... disappeared from this forum. I've started a lot of different projects. I really want to write the screenplay to American Idiot. I have since I was 14 and they were talking about putting it into a movie. I was like "Well....pfft. I could do that." I just never got around to it. Some of the characters even today still confuse me -- on where they ended up and simple things like that. So, I've been listening to that cd a lot. I've also taken upon myself to go ahead and start The Black Parade. Also a screenplay. Of course, I'm not really expecting to get it published or anything but, I just want some perspective on the whole "rock opera" thing, and the Patient is just an incredible character. In the "movie" I want to incorporate all five guys of the band too. Kind of the Patient's parade, while he's in his teen years and so forth. I've taken plenty of notes on the CD, and know who all the guys would play and all those details. I'm really excited for it, though. I've never actually finished a screenplay before. Sure, I've started them or whatever, but I'm taking a creative writing class now and my teacher is being really great about helping me out.
Enough about the screenplays.
I'm right in the middle of 2 novels. Those details aren't important, but...I'm really, really excited about them. I could link anybody to them...or something close to them. Just ask. One of them takes place during our century. The other in the late 1800's. So... let me know.

well, i'm not really a writer, in general, but I luv to read all sorts of writing. But, when theres' nothing better to do, I start writing. I have a crazy imagination (wild, some might say). My writing always seems to reflect my mood for some reason, for example, one chapter in some of my texts might be over-exaggerated & emotional, whereas others might be happy & slightly odd!

Ideas just seem to come to me but I don't always have a pen and paper which is a shame because it sounds great in my head but by the time I get around to writing it, it sounds terrible! I do a lot of descriptive writing and I like my stories to have a lot of depth and detail, to plunge the reader into the story, make them feel like a part of the story, like they're there. I don't really think of my self as a writer, most of the stuff i do write is pretty much on the comedic any of the serious stuff never see the light of day. I'm actually pretty shy with my writing, which is the only thing I'm ever really shy about.

The ones for school homework tend to be pretty rubbish as they always make you write poems about stupid things.
Yeah i can't write well on the **** they give me , unless its a good topic. I usually end up writing something that totally opposes what the assignment was. I usually make it funny. My school is very...hmm.. well lets say they have different methods of teaching than most, we share out loud a lot! and since i always find my self sharing what i write, i make it funny, makes sharing easier. Least i think so.
Oh and I'm writing a fan fic, which I'm not very happy about. I think i had a different idea when i started it , but I'm not very happy with where its going now. Blah! I don't know. I'm very paranoid about writing.
