hii.i couldn t cheat of gof..is there any body know?

We have places available where members can ask about the the Goblet of Fire game here, general advice on cheats, or even information from the offical GOF game website. Also, could you specify what part of the game you are trying to find cheat features?

Me and my brother have tried searching on google...but we haven't found anything. His freind DOES have a cheats magazine though. We'll just wait until his next issue comes along...

Ok on every level not on the triwizard tasks levels though. There is a vanishing card, so far I have only seen one in Herbalogy(sp?) and when I go to the are I saw it in ha ha its gone. So my question is does anyone know how to get them? Or what you have to do before you can get them. Please any help would be great.

I want to know how you unlock bonuses in the game, does anybody know? Does it have something to do with the triwizard shields?

Well they are hard to catch but ill give you clues....
1. the one in Hogvarts Exterior is in the begining of the level on a dangerous place.
2. the one in the forbidden forrest is close to some Boubatobers.
3. the one in Moodys Challenges is in the Exploding cauldrouns area behind a wall.
4. the one in the prefects bathroom is close to the egg.....
And where in Herbology did you see a vaniching card(i havent found that one yet).

How do you know that there are vanishing cards? Do you have to unlock it with the tri wizard shields? I'm very conguse now. Explain please!

Well the only thing you have to do is to play the levels many many times and finaly they are there!
You dont have to do anything special to get them when they are there they are there.
The only thing you have to do is to be quick because they disapear if your not quick enough(thats why they are called vanisching cards).

I think I have an idea where the one in the Hogwarts grounds is with that hint, but hard to get yep and the one in herbology the way I found it was when you go through that level all the way the first time then you go back in they start you off at about the middle of the level(or close to) you know infront of the gate with the blast ended skwet is, if you head back up the stairs into the green house and after the area loads before you go a further look to your left and down below where the tables are and where you find the 3 dirt patches, well the card is sitting right by the front of the table and crates.

But everytime I try to go down there fast enough its already gone! And thank you for the clues and I hope my explanation helps. Do you have to use Accio or just run up and grab them?

I tried once to use accio but it didnt work out.
I have one suggestilon if you want to take the Herbology one fast.
Try use haermione because she has a herbology card which you can grow the lilly pads faster whit(thanks by the way much appricated).

Yeah you do have to get there fast I pretty much ignored everything and just focused on the lily pads and managed to make it there on time to grab it. But the last problem is I cant find the one in the forest, I thought it might be in that really tuff to get to spot the one behind thoes 3 Boubatobers and behind thoes is a culdron but I didnt see anything there all I found there was an unending attack by dug bogs , and thats the last card I need too!

I'm stuck too!!! It's so frustrating!

I've been told to cast jinxes on anything unusual--dragon statues, mushrooms, gargoyles, taps, shovels, all that crazy stuff. I'm missing one dragon statue in Moody's challenges, two shovels in Herbology class, four taps in the Prefect's bathroom, and a mushroom in the Forbidden Forest (I have all of the gargoyles!! HA!!). So if anyone can help ginny_and_harry_4ever and/or me, please help!!!

Ok so now the only thing I need is the last Vanishing card from the Forbidden forest that one I have no clue where to look any help there?

And as for the mushrooms go back into the forest and carefully look everywhere sometimes you can find them in a corner you never been in before. The dragon statue is in the last Moody's challenge. Prefects bathroom I know I havent been there...? hmmm dont think they have it in the psp version, b-cuz im on the last level but havent touched my game in awhile... long while.

I need serious help with the pc version. I can't figure out how to get the Herbivicolus spell. I need it but I can't get it Help would be greatly apreciated!

hey I've got the pc version too... you cant get the herbivicous spell until you're on the herbology level and then you go and find a spell book on a podium type thing and then you can just do it. so then you have to go back to hogwarts exterior and prefects bathroom etc to cross bits for water to get shields.

and you know there are vanishing cards because of.. you know at the end of a level and all the things pop up and tell you how much you've mastered each spell and how many casts you've done... how much of the subplots you've completed etc... theres one that says vanishing card and if you havnt got it it says 0/1

i havnt found any vanishing cards yet.. my problem is in herbology... when your around the rooftops of the greenhouse beign attacked by the mosps and its really confusing havign to go bakwards and forwards through the greenhouse to get around... well on the far side... you can see on the gorund theres a shield... but i don't know how to get it.. any help??

and also im on the 3rd task level and i cant beat the blast ended skrewts... someone said about dodging them but i still end up dead lol... advice? thanks bye!

Well if you dodge them and let them bang into the hedge (wall). Stars surround them and it signifies they are temporarily knocked out. Go to their vulnerable point and keep casting jinxes and they will die.

I know, I agree it does too, you don't get to do what you want on that game, it has the best graphics and everything but I think it is the worst game yet. PoA is the best in my opinion because you get to choose which person you are whenever you want and you get to do what you want and roam around the castle, you couldn't roam around the castle in GoF. I think it sucks.

let`s hope HP5 wouldn`t be like 4 , with that stupid camera . Let`s hope it will be like on the 1st , 2nd or 3rd HP game .

I know!! I hated that horrible camera, the others were all at the back of Harry or whatever character, so it looked like it was from their point of view and you could see what you were doing. I hated that camera in game 4.

Well if you are on about the Dugbog challenge, that is a tricky one. All you do to cast avifors on them is to jinx them first a few times. Then when they have turned upside down with stars surrounding them symbolising that they are knocked out, either, the other two players or the player that you are levitate them and the other two cast avifors.

No you have to face the dragon or you can't go on to the next level. It doesn't matter if you have enough shields, if you do have enough shields then you need to face the dragon to get the the next level which I think is Prefects Bathroom.

I agree that GoF is not the best HP game...I loved PoA, it was brilliant, the best part was the possibility to roam around the castle, discover secrets and visit the Joke Shop, so I hope that the makers will take the fans' opinions into account for the next game...

On the other had, I love the jinxes and charms in this game, they are brilliant, and the graphics are awsome. What I miss though is the "normal" camera angle and the sunsine and the daylight...most of the scenes are dark and rainy here, except Herbology and the First Task.

Good advice for those who search for the Vanishing Cards:

Check if Hermione already has her Perfect Cast card in her set, and if yes, chose her to collect the Vanishing Cards. It's wise to collect them later on, when she's got this card. It lets her perform Perfect Casts all the time. This means that e.g. in Herbology she can perform Herbivicus a lot faster than the others, so she can reach the Vanishing Card through the water lilies in time.

For those who still have problems with finding them:

Moody's Challenges
The Vanishing Card is hidden in the Exploding Cauldrons challenge, just behind the first wall in front of you. Swing the Cauldron into the wall and run for the card, or ignore the Cauldrons and just run behind the wall and collect the Card.

Hogwarts Exterior
Run down the stairs to the lower level where the three large blocks are. Pass the blocks as fast as you can, to the second slanting ramp (sort of), at the end of it you find the Card.

Forbidden Forest
When you start the level from the glistening octagon (or whaterver it is), just head forward and ignore the Dugbogs as much as possible. You'll eventually find a patch of mushrooms, and behind them there's the Vanishing Card. Fling the Bubotuber and smash the mushrooms and rush for the Card.

Prefects' Bathroom
I think this is the most difficult task. Run to the left from the glistening octagon as fast as you can and pull down the bridge. It's usually hard to do it quickly because you can't do it alone and the others tend to lag behind. If you pulled it down, run forward until you reach the Salamanders. Try to jinx them as fast as you can, or they won't leave you alone while you pull down the second bridge. Then climb up to the level where the two fish-shaped taps are and grab the Card between them.

Herbology
If you do this with Hermione and the Perfect Cast card, it's really easy. You go backwards from where the Blast-Ended Skrewt is. Run up the stairs and cast Herbivicus on the plants that form the bridge. Then run into the big Greenhouse where the large pond is. Run up the stairs, cast Herbivicus again on the plants, but beware ot the Vampyr Mosps. Then create a path form these water lilies in the direction from where you came, to the deck where a lot of pots stand (so not the one with the chest under the bridge). The Card is at the back of this deck.

Oh yes, another good advice for Moody's Challenges!

When you do the Dugbog Avifors part, select Harry, because he casts Avifors a lot more often than e.g. Hermione, who usually casts Orbis, or Ron, who casts them more or less equally.

Wow. I only managed to get about three vanishing cards throughout the whole time I have been playing it. But what do they exactly do? I mean do they actually do anything? Thanks for the tips anway.

i hate how u cant roam hogwarts.. well i guess ya sorta could but not the whole place. i like the third video game better. the gof is just short and un interesting

i agree. the 5th movie should be more like the 3rd than the 4th. i liked the fact that you could roam hogwarts and the whole independant game play was awesome.

it is not hard to get the herbivicus charm i think u just have to be by w.e. u can use it on i forgot but i have not even beat that game i have it on gamecube and i have had it seen christmas last year it is hard for me i am still on the 2nd tasks

I think Voldermort was easy to beat.

I don't understand how I must do to destroy the statue in Voldemort's level. You know, at a certain point Voldemort makes the statue fly. How can I destroy it?

Seriouslysirius, Vanishing Cards are cards that after a certain time disappear. So you must be quite fast. You find them in each level. For example, the first is in the level of the roofs of Hogwarts in the low flat at the beginning of the level. Precisely it's in a danger place near blocks.
I think here there is a post. There you'll find all places where you can find all cards.

I can't seem to get into the triwizard tournament ( first task). It says you need two more sheilds, but i can't seem to get them. I just past the part where Harry, Ron, and Hermione first meet the horntail and he is chasing them. I beat that, but i can't move on because i can't get two of the sheilds on that level(the one in the air at the clearing and the one on the fallen tree). I have tried EVERYTHING! Please help, i have had this game for about a year and i still can't get to the tasks! Very frustrating...

Hmm, I've had to go back and play levels multiple times to get enough shields to continue. If a level doesn't say completed then there are probably more shields to get. I remember in Hogwarts Grounds (I think that's what it's called) there are a million. You just have to go everywhere imaginable and unimaginable.

If anyone is having trouble finding sheild locations there is a cheat sheet/faq walktrough that you can print off of gamespot.com, I have printed off all of the faqs for all 3 HP games that I have. They are very helpful and will tell you the locations of everything that you need to get. Hope that helps!

I played this game for a while on XBOX but I got bored of it real quick. In my opinion, the COS game was much better.

If you are having trouble finding shields, go out to Hogwart's Grounds level. There are a couple of shields there, and if you collect all of them you should be able to move through to the first task (which isn't as much fun as it could have been).

i hated that game i did not like the fact that you could not wonder around hogwarts. They did not give you much freedom in that game. It took me forever to beat.

Yeah I was disappointed you couldn't wander around too. I wouldn't even have cared if it was basically the same map as in CoS and PoA. I'm still trying to beat Voldy. Haven't played in ages though.

Luckily for you, I've beaten the game twice. Have you gone back and looked at previous levels? I would recomend looking in the Forbbidden Forest level. Instead of going to the route you took earlier in the FF level, go backward and stay to the left, where you will eventually discover a giant Blast-Ended Skrewt. Curse him into oblivion and you recieve one shield. The other shield you will discover if you stick to the right. Ther will be a huge brown block, which you can lift by pressing the Jinx button. You keep levitating it forward to the screen and you will find a shield, which you can reach with the huge block!

i cant get enough shields to get onto the next level which is the maze i have looked everywhere for them. does anyone know where there are some hidden shields or something? thanks =]

I completed the game in a week, and I am NOT a fanatic. I don't spend 7 hours at a time just playing. I played for like 3 hours a day, less on school nights, and it was easy. Lord V was so simple to beat. The lake bit was hard but really fun. I hated the vampire mosps. The little wooden guys freaked me out. They sang scary songs. lol

How do you get past the giant Blast Ended Skerwts (sp?) in the maze where Cedric is tied to the maze wall? Anyone know? Please help!

I also preferred PoA, that was sooo easy, and wasn't as dark as GoF.

It is so nice to know I'm not the only person who noticed the freaky almost "horror-movie" like singing the erklings do. I received a set of Chamber, Azkaban, and Goblet games for ps2 for my birthday and I have enjoyed the ones I've been able to play. The ps2 is my husbands and its old so it won't play the Chamber of Secrets game but it will play the other 2. I'm not good with video games but I loved Prisoner of Azkaban and (with a little helpful hints from websites) I managed to beat the game and know my 4 year old daughter is learning how to play it! I'm still managing with Goblet of Fire. I like the game but it's a lot harder for me. I've managed to reach adept. Thanks for the hints on the vanishing cards because I wasn't even sure what to look for until now. Between the two games so far I prefer to play Azkaban but I'm sticking with GoF until I beat it. I have enjoyed them so much that my daughter and I want to get Order of the Phoenix to play. I do agree with the fact that the graphics are beautiful on GoF but it is hard to negotiate the camara.

I am stuck on a part of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire video game and nothing has helped so far. I need to collect two Triwizard Shields in the Forbidden Forest to be able to unlock the next location. I have found both of them, it is just getting them that is rather hard.
You see, one is about 10 feet above my head and the other resides on a stone ledge with vines leading up to it. I know to get the one on the ledge I need the herbivicus charm, but to obtain it, I need to go to herbology class but it's locked.
So my two questions are:
1) How do you unlock herbology and obtain herbivicus?
2) How do you obtain the Triwizard shield that is too high to reach in the Forbidden Forest?

Alright, so I have found out that you don't need to collect a certain amount of shields from one specific level to unlock another. I have collected shields from Hogwart's Exterior and have unlock the first task. Still, feel free to answer my previous questions please.
