If i had to choose a magical race i would choose to be a witch and to attend Hogwarts because at least i would still be human and i ould be learning great spells and other things. .

I love to help people, so i'd like to be a house elf. But i want to be a witch, because they have such a range of powers and can fly on brooms!

I can't decide between being a free house elf like the bestest little guy ever, Dobby ( ) or possessing the pure heart of a peaceful and graceful unicorn; they are magnificent creatures. How about a beautiful Phoenix? I know many people have listed the phoenix however they are also beautiful creatures, gifted with the power to heal and in a sense, live forever. To see the world through the eyes of a unicorn or a phoenix would be amazing, surviving the centuries, exploring the forests, being pet by the Care of Magical Creatures students (unicorns). They are legendary creatures with beautiful spirits.

Then again, a witch wouldn't be half bad either! A witch would be wonderful as well.

I know that seems a bit shallow, but I'm five foot two, and I can never reach anything on the top shelf without a silly stool, or a chair, and my sister (who is a whole inch taller than me) always makes fun. java script:emoticon(':(',%20'smid_3')

I would like to be a fairy. I know their not mentioned much in HP books except for being the lights on the Christmas trees in the Great Hall...But I love the outdoors and the thought of being able to fly with wings has always been a fantasy of mine. Plus they are closely related to the elements and the changing of the seasons.

I would go with a Half-Blood Wizard. Pure-Blood's tend to distance themselves from the Muggle World in the Harry Potter series, and I would like to maintain a connection between the Wizarding and Muggle Worlds. Also, most Half-Bloods/Muggle-Borns tend to be successful characters in the series, such a Hermione Granger, Severus Snape, Lord Voldemort and even Harry Potter himself.

I would probably want to be a witch. I would love to attend Hogwarts and go down the feasts. . .go to Quidditch games and absorb myself in the library. . .sneak around at night and indulge in wizard candy. . .everything would be wonderful.

I would want to be a witch and attend Hogwarts of course!! I'd like to be half-blood, so i get some Muggle perspective with my mum being a witch and my dad a muggle. I'd love to fly on a broom, and walk the grounds of Hogwarts. Life would be fantastic!

I thought about this a lot, and I suppose I would want to be a wizard, but there are so many other things to be, I would love to be a centaur just because I'd be able to run really fast, but I would be a wizard because they would be able to do more good things, and thats the whole point of everything really.

I would love it to be like the LotR elves, they are magical and powerfull and mostly good looking lovely!:P And then the landscape they live in, wonderfull! I prefer to live in Rivendell!

I would also like to be a witch, because I could go to Hogwarts, and I would be great in Transfiguration. Hogwarts is I think one of the most interesting schools!! :B

I think I would want to be an elf! I mean not the kind that is obssessed with serving. I would like to be like Dobby. I mean he can kick a wizards butt as he showed us in CoS and he can apparate inside buildings that are off limits to wizards (hogwarts). Elves do not need a wand also so I could just do magic when ever I wanted.

I'd most likely want to be a witch, but picking from something besides that I'd probably want to be a Centuar of a Phoenix. I like how the Centaurs are in touch with the sky and stars and such and I think Phoenixes are awesome creatures. I would love to fly around singing and healing people with my tears!

Well, seeing as you didn't specify that it had to be from Jk's magical world, well, I'd love to be (like Selena) an elf (like the ones on LOTR) I'd love to be an elf from the Mirkwood forest like Legolas. Because of their intellect and strenght.

I'd also love to be a centaur, because of their intellect as well! I think they are very very cool creatures!

I posted here before, and said i wanted to be an elf, or the type that arein the inheritance series. But, after immersing myself in yet another fantasy series (The wheel of time...Great read!) i have decided that i now wnat to be one of those, and i quote 'Tar Valon witches' or for those with more respect and less ignorance... I like being human, so I would like to be a wizard. Besides all the cool things you can do with magic, I would retain the essential me-ness that makes me what I am. I am happy with who I am.

Well my friends and I always joke about how we are veelas and such so I suppose I'd like to live up to that joke. But I don't want to turn evil and bird like. I would like to be part veela so I'm still relatively nice.

I would have to say a wizard. I'd like to remain human lol. If I had a magical gift I'd find it very interesting to study it and push it to it's limits, there would be so much to learn within it.

I like Hagrid's cosy cabin to, I'd love to live in a place like that, right beside a lake and a forest, with friends coming over during the day and at night sometimes, more so than a normal every-day house like Snape lol.

Being a Wizard would be the best!! Especially if i went to a school like Hogwarts. Although, Elves would be a fun race too. They seem always to be good fighters and magical (like in LOTR and Eragon). Any race would be funner than humans in my opinion ( as long as the race had some sort of powers)

Well, I certainly think with all the magical races in the Harry Potter world and in other magical worlds such as, Lord of the Rings, I would still love to be a witch. It's something I always dreamed about when I was little and to be honest it is something I dream about still. So if I could be any magical race then it would surely be a witch.

I would love to be a witch. That would be so cool to be able to do magic. Altough it might be cool to be part centaur and be able to read the stars. Plus, centaurs are so mystical and beautiful. So, yeah, i'd like to be a witch or a centaur.

I would like to be a either a witch or an elf. Elves are very interesting and witches are equally interesting with the magic they provide. I have always been intrigued by Elves though so I guess that would be my first choice.

Well in the HP series I would deffinitely like to be a witch. To be able to have that power would be so amazing. However, I've seen some mentioning of the Lord of the Rings, in whichcase I would want to be an elf. They have a structured society, they live long, and I could be with Legolas!

However, i dont think i would mind being a centaur (other than the fact that im a female) since i believe in and love astronomy, i think it'd be cool to spend my life studying the stars

If we were talking Harry Potter, I would most DEFINETLY be a witch. No question about it. I would so LOVE to do magic and jinx people in the hallways and stuff like that. And I would love to got to Hogwarts too. Sure beats going to a non magical school.

I think being a witch would be terrific.I have always wanted to do magic.But all the fear about Voldemort...So,otherwise phoenix would be a very satisfying choice for me.Healing and reliving...amazing characteristics.

i would want to be a goblin even though they arent nescessarily treated fairly they are paid and are not being killed off for invlvement in wars like the giants and goblins are very intelligent if not a goblin like a centaur.
