We've heard the casting for Luna and other characters but what about that Anti-Social House Elf Kreacher? To be honest he had some of the best lines in the latest two books (especialy in HBP with Dobby).

I am slightly worried because Dobby and Winky were both left out of GoF. Dobby plays a slightly bigger role in this book so maybe his GoF introduction will be put in this.

But back to Kreacher. He may not be that important (in OotP anyway) but gosh darn it his Anti-Social behavior makes him so funny "The Mudblood is talking Kreacher like she is his friend. Kreacher will ignore her." To be honest given the chance I would definatly want to be the voice of Kreacher as I'm sure many other HP fans would.

Oh, they better not leave Kretcher out! he's a HUGE role! Remember, he could be held partially responsible for sirius' death! oh hes absolutely GINORMUS (is that even a word??) in OotP and I will be very very very very very very very.....{5 hours later}...very very very disappointed in wb and everything if they cut him!!!! but hey, also, Gaiash, if you think your good for the part, go ahead and go for it, that is, if they havent already got someone! best of luck!!

Actually, he /is/ partially responsible for Sirius' death. But I'm just wondering how they'll portray him. He's too funny and important to leave out, so they had better not. About the whole Dobby/Winky thing, they had better include Dobby in OotP. He tells Harry about the Room of Requirement, but like in the past movies, they've left out Binns and Peeves (who they had better include in this one!), so who knows.

Plotwise, Kreacher is pretty much essential. The only reason why he wouldn't be in the movie would be because of the cost. I remember hearing that the reason why Winky wasn't in GOF was because it cost way too much money to create her. It's millions of dollars apparently. I do hope he's there though.

This one of the few times I am going to side against the studio and say they had better put Kreacher in. In the past I could always understand their decisions on character cuts, even Dobby and Winky from GOF.

With Kreacher playing the roles he does at the end of OotP and HBP, he needs to be included. It is a million dollars per CGI character but I think the studio needs to fund them for this movie. We won't have a two hour dragon sequence this time so maybe there will be money in the budget.

I don't think OotP will be very heavy with CGI like GoF was. Most of the book was Harry's relationships with Dumbledore, Umbridge and Sirius as well as his Voldemort mind problems and Snape's occlumency lessons. Hopefully that means they will have the funds to do the CGI characters like Dobby, Winky and Kreacher.

I agree with Gaburdette that Kreacher plays to large of a roll at the end of the book to not include him. I doubt that it will be a major roll (only 3 minutes or so) but chances are it'll have a cut of him listening in on an important conversation.

I'm trying to think of all the CGI things that could be included. Kreacher is definately at the top of the list, thestrals, and centaurs. . . oh, and Grawp. I'm lazy, has he been cast at all as an actual actor? Or has he been cut? (please cut him before Kreacher, please) What else could there be? That seems to be it as far as characters, so I think that they'll be plenty of room to include at least Kreacher.

hmm. . .i guess there are all those little magical creatures that Hagrid and Grubby-Planke introduce, but they certainly won't take up that much money. . .I hope.

they deffinetly need to have Kreacher he has too much of an important role to the 5th book as others have said. I can see sometimes why things are cut for movies or why people are left out but no Kreacher in the 5th movie would be horrible.

If they want to make the movie work they have to have Kreacher. I can see no way for them to explain Sirius's death without using him. And it's not like it would be hard for them. They can use the images they had for Dobby. That way they don't have to create a whole new image and all they have to do is change it to look like Kreacher should. To leave him out would be disasterous for the movie, plus for those who watch it without reading the books - well they won't know he was behind Harry's journey to the DoM and ultimately responsible for Sirius's death.

the only thing they could do, if they did cut creature, would be to give his lines to someone else. just like they tend to give Peeves' lines to others. but who? that's the question. no other character would be in context to actually take his place here and there.
my conclusion - they need Kreature!!!

i agree with the whole cgi idea, that there isn't as much of it in this book, so they should have plenty of time and money to give Kreature his original role.

Kreacher is such an antithesis to what dobby is .both have got such
fabulously etched contrasting characters that it wud be a real treat to
every harry potter fan to see them on screen.i cant imagine the
scriptwriter leaving out kreacher in OOTP.he is too important especially from the half-blood prince context.moreover he may play a
crucial role in the 7th book too.he is surely there i bet.

well if some peoples theories play out -eg. Kreacher hiding the real locket Horcrux- then WB will be very annoyed they didnt introduce him

I hope they keep Kreacher in the movie. Although he is a disgusting,
filthy, traitorous being, he is still important to the story.
I know they said Dobby cost a lot of money to make so maybe they
will cut him. I hope not.

Besides, he is a perfect example why S.P.E.W is important.

I think they does not omit the character of Kreacher because he is the most important part of the film,after all he is responsible for serious death.

Dobby is in my top 3 favourite characters, i was so dissapointed when he wasnt in the 4th movie, I really hope that kreacher and dobby are in the next movie, and because dobby and winky werent in the fourth movie, S.P.E.W. wasnt introduced, taht was a dissapointment too, because it shows hermiones personality and will power towards starting this organization. And so, i think that kreacher is too important, besides, thats how Harry finds out if he has inherited the Black's House

If you search kreacher on youtube.com, and click on the first video you see the real animated Kreacher. I think its real at least, someone posted that it was on the Italian Harry Potter website, but I dunno where thats located. The voice is the guy who does the voices for the tapes however, so I don't like the audio so much...but I still think its amazing. Tell me what ya think!

Whoa, that was cool. One of the posters on youtube said that that wasn't going to be his voice, but that was someone else doing the Italian-English translation...not sure how they found out though. I agree with them, though, that it does look a little wierd (scary), and it its kind of "sketchy" how they got it!

Too bad it's not because that still would have been great. great animation and all. i think that was pretty creative and imaginative and very neat that they did that...if only it were the real kreacher...still i think that he might be close to that in the final cut. the voice i didn't like much but then again it wasn't actually kreacher.

That was so creepy, but still cool. For it not being the real one, that was really amazing. I agree that the voice is bad, but it looked neat. I think that the real Kreacher will look a lot like that in the end, just better animated. Thanks for showing that, even if it isn't the real thing, it was fun to see.

I don't think Kreacher will make the movie... Think about it, that "responsibility for Sirius' death part" is indeed imortant (for me at least) but I don't think WB will think so, and the only thing of importance he does in book 6 is to spy on Malfoy along with Dobby, so it's possible that they'll just have Dobby alone to do that. But I want him in! I hate him, but he is funny and as mentioned important.

i dont know why but for some reason i picture kreacher being alot bigger then dobby and perhaps looking like gollum but uglier.. i hope hes in the movie if hes not i will be greatly dissapointed

My guess is that if he is in the movie, he isn't on the cast list because no one is dressing up to play him... you see the guys playing the non-human characters in the Mugglenet list because they are all going to put on costumes to become the characters. The house elves aren't played by anyone, they just have voice-overs and whoever released all of the characters may not have thought it very important (for whatever reason) to add the person who plays the voice of Kreacher.

Ew god, he is ugly, that is just plain scary, I also dont like his voice, I thought it would be a squeaky voice something like Dobbys, but very droll. I dono about that voice.

I sure hope that they include Kreacher in Order of the Pheonix. He is a major character that shouldn't be cut. If he is in there, I hope he resembles JKR's description.

It wouldn't be near as funny without Kreacher, he was half the humor in that book, those mumbles of his were just hilarious! Anyway, it would be a Crime to cut him. If they do though, how are they going to get Harry to got the Ministry looking for Sirius? After all, it was Kreacher who said he wasn't at Grimmauld place...

Just watched movie clip from above^^^. That just told us a whole lot of info. Grawp will be in it along with Kreacher which is just awesome. Threstals made it which is a relief to some ("they are going to ride brooms?") I also caught a glimpse of the magical fountain which i have been looking forward to.

Kreacher is the most important thing we learned because he is such a small character but at the same time and important one. This most likely means that Harry will sneak into Umbridges office and try and talk to Sirius. Kreacher will then lie and off they go to the MoM. O i cant wait.

This was one of my biggest concerns. Were they or weren't they going to have Kreacher in the 5th movie. I thought it was going to be Winky all over again.
But then I saw the google site with the creation of Kreacher and I was relieved that WB did the right thing, not only for the storyline but for us avid fans.

He looks so ugly, but then I guess no house elf will win a beauty contest!!
I just hope that they give him a better voice.

At least now they can bring him back for the 6th movie.

Kreacher will be a character that greatly affects the movie. If they had left him out the movie would have been completely screwed up and they would have to thing of some story as to why Harry went to the MoM. He looks just like i imagined he would so thats nice.

Apparently Winky and Dobby are out of the movie but Kreacher is still in. I agree I actually laughed out loud when reading Dobby and Kreachers fights! And the way he spoke to Hermione, rude but funny lol.

I love that little creature Kreacher. I bet he'd say something like Kreacher don't want to be in stupid muggle movie, oh what master would think. lol if they'd cut him out and give his lines to somebody else, it will defently not have the same effect as it would if it were him. I love the house-elves and was pretty upset, but understood, when Winky was cut out of GoF. If he wasn't put in this movie i was finally gunna buy the S.P.E.W. t-shirt they sell online.

After the desilusion of the movie Eragon, where they forgot to put the story, it was everything about trying to make money in the Christmas time, i hope that they dont do the same with the new Potter movie. Kreacher is to important to be left out. and if they do not have money to make the movie with all the important scenes and characters the should stop to do them and leave the magic of the books work 4ever!

I think it would be terrible if Kreacher is not in the film, I think when dobby and winky were not in GOF it left holes in the plot, which were not filled properly for me.

Kreacher is important in OOTP and overall I think the house elves could prove important in the final book
