I am going with the US only because that is where I am from. And the closer ot home the better for me.

This is an interesting poll, I guess the answers and reasoning will be the most interesting, whether it is due to "near living" or not. Well see I guess.

i picked europe aswell because im naturally from europe and lets say if one of us was entered into hogwarts(its an example not really) then we will have to travel far away and in europe its cool so and because like *dementor* said its kings cross cool poll bye

Well, I had to go with Europe, England preferably, just because that's where Harry Potter is. Even though I'm from the US and I would think it would be cool to live in a country or on a continent with Hogwarts, it' just, well, sort of native to England and I think thats where it should stay, even if it IS an entire Atlantic Ocean away.

Hogwarts was invented in Europe by JKR's imagination, so that is where it will always be for me. Plus I live in Europe so hehe.

Europe. England is already the perfect place for Hogwarts. I can't imagine it being anywhere different. Even though I live in the USA, I wouldn't want Hogwarts here, because then the novelty would kind of wear off. Yes, I'd want to go, but instead of having Hogwarts come to me, I'd rather go to it, I think.

I picked Asia because that is where I am from. I also live in another country in Asia so naturally I would like it to be there so that it could be closer to me.

i voted 'europe' because i'm from europe and because hogwarts is just in scotland and i think it shouldn't be anywhere else... there are other wizardin schools, but hogwarts has to be in scotland --> europe!

I picked US because that is where I live and that's the only reason. My second choice would have been South America! I could just imagine a castle in the middle of the jungle!

Who cares? If you want to chose a career (witch or wizard in this case) you go to wherever you can learn the things you need regardless if it's near home or not. Unless you value home above your future but then I'm sorry but I can't help you and won't accept any complaints

I chose Europe because honestly I can't see it being anywhere else in the world. I'm from North America so obviously I wouldn't mind having it here, but it woudln't have the same effect on me.

well i live in North America so i would love for hogwarts to be in North America but if i don't get it i will be really mad. i deserve to go to Hogwarts. but i would need a to be a wizard well i guess if i don't get it i will do what ever it takes to get in. i will work with the House elfs i will be a second Mr. Filtch.

This is a good poll.I put Europe i just think that would be the best place for the school.If not at Europe i think that North America would be a cool place to have the school too.

Well of course only the people that don't have a problem with magic would attend Hogwarts!
If I had another choice, I would pick Antarctica..only because it's deserted, no one really there and it be separate from the Muggle world so things wouldn't conflict.
Plus there'd be more space! Lots more space! Even though it would be cold.. magic can always change things! haha..

I'd say North America (US) or maybe canada and Mexico , because that's where I live and there's many Harry Potter fans there. All of my friends enjoy the books and the movies, and we all think it would be really neat to have a magic school in North America.

Hogwarts belongs to Europe, of course. Not only because I live in europe but there are magical schools all over the world (see Bill's friend in Brazil), and Hogwarts belongs to England.
I wondered if there was no school in Germany, because England's got one, France's got one and Bulgaria too, but where do wizards from other countries go to? And germany is big enough to have a school participating in the triwizard tournament, isn't it? (sorry if this was off topic...)

It makes the most sense that Hogwarts would be in Europe. How would a car fly from London to anywhere farther than another location in Europe?

Hogwarts is fine where it is. Assuming Beauxbatons is on the Western European mainland and Durmstrang is the mountains of Eastern Europe, Hogwarts provides an island alternative. There is enough magical history on the British Isles to make that a good place for HW to stay.

I like Hogwarts the way it is and where it is. Europe. If it were in North America, why, it would probably be covered in graffiti after a good few years. We don't want that . I'm kidding. Anyways, I like it where it is at.

I would want it to be in North America (in CANADA ) haha but isnt it kind of obvious i nthe books that it is in Europe, in Britian somewheres? Becuase the platfrom is in London and its only like a couple of hours on the train so that would take you very far xD

I have to say it deffinitely belongs in Europe. Although I must say it would be pretty sweet if it where in the US and even more specifically Colorado (the most beautiful state! ) and even more specifically in the beautiful rocky mountains. That would be sweet!!

Oh and having Hogwarts be in Antartica that would be hillarious!!!!! Every would probably freeze and die! that would be sad

I like it the way it is now; in the UK. It's closer to Holland than any of the other options. Besides, if the Hogwarts Express took off at London and it went all the way down to, for example, Australia, then it would take quite a while to get there.

Ooo weee, wouldnt that just kick the old patoot if it was in North America, Didnt they film some here? It'd be nice if it was in my hometown of Canada, British Columbia.

I would say the United States because I live there. Somewher in the mountains would be nice, either the Rockies or the Appalachias, that would be too cool.

I want Hogwarts in europe for two reasons one because it would be closer to me and second it's where it belongs
