I've seen threads on who you thinkwill die, but not who you would rather have die, not counting Voldy. So, mods, close it if you must.

I put a Hogwarts teacher, which would be Snape. But Cho would be my second choice.

I voted for 'other', because I stick to my thought that it will be Hagrid, who shows no talent in magic, however he is a pretty determined and sometimes really unwise man, and these features may cause him trouble, or even bring his death.

I also stick to my theory that JKR won't kill Harry, I just don't know why I feel this way. Precisely, I don't know whether I feel it or hope it, but I guess, both. I really hope Harry won't get killed, I hate the stories where the main character dies or goes away like Frodo did in LotR. I know it is a noble thing from the author to sacrifice the main character, it somehow 'looks better' than a true happy end, but... but no, please don't.

Oh, and you did not add any negative character to the poll. However, it is almost for sure that LV dies, and i hope so does Bellatrix.

I voted other- I would rather either Luna or Neville will die. They don't seem to have a really major part in the books, and their deaths, depending on how they would be presented, could actually be beneficial. And I don't want any of my favorites to die- if there is going to be a death, let one of these two take it.

I voted Cho, nto cos I hate her, but cos she's not one of my favourites; Harry would be especially upset if she died; and she would be with Cedric *wipes away a little tear*

I just decided to stick to the list for some strange reason, so I chose Cho because I never liked her as a character in the Harry Potter books. I about chose other beacause of Voldemort, you know, but I don't think that's what the creator of this poll had in mind...

I think that a teacher would rather be fitting. Although I favor her, I think Professor McGonagall is likely to kick the bucket. I think Snape will be a huge part of the plot, and might be killed on its own accord, so he doesn't really count, and I can't think of any other teachers....Flitwick is just too cute to let die XD.

Of that list I would chose Cho because I like her the least and she is the least important. Her death would not make me that unhappy and can't see it being very devastating for anyone other than Harry and her close friends. I am sure the trio.etc. would be more upset if the others on that list died.

However, I wouldn't mind in Umbridge died either.

NOT that i dont like the guy, i do i do i do!!!! i love him! however, someone has to die, and it has to be a bigger character than dumbledore to keep the shock and emotion flowing, becuase you cant just go from murdering a huge caracter to just keeping it moderate with small minor characters dying along the way, then harry defeating the bad guy and living happily ever after: not going to happen and personally i will be very very upset if it does! i have high expectations for the 7th book to be very emotional and unexpecting, so someone who will have a huge impact on harry and anyone else left alive would be what i want!!

Alright, throw tomatoes and lettuce and any other vegie if you like at me, but I chose Harry. I hate Cho too, But I could only choose one. I think if JKR kills Harry at the end of book 7 it will be a nice change. A change from the tiresome Good guy always winning, Happy ending type of books. That is my vote and I am sticking to it.

I put a Hogwarts teacher as well. Unfortunately if I go by the 6th book...it's obvious that another main character will die. After book six my money has been on Malfoy because Voldy wants him dead anyway. He knew Malfoy didn't have a prayer in killing Dumbledore so one way or another I believe it will be him.

I agreed with bloodbadge and beyond_the_veil, because Umbridge is the cruelest teacher I've ever heard of. I've had some bad ones, but none were that bad. She is the one teacher who deserves to die more than Snape, but not by much.

I would like to have Draco die and then the shock of it turns Lucius Malfoy into a good guy and makes Narcissa run to Severus Snape's arms...that way Lucius would be the single man of my dreams! LOL!

I would have Umbridge die if I had to pick someone. To make someone write lines in their own blood is ridiculous! I also don't like her because of how she treats people like Hagrid and the centaurs, she is way too power hungry and close-minded. I really didn't like her!

I wouldn't kill any of those. I'd kill Ginny if it was up to me. I really think she's a brat and always has been. It would follow the pattern of killing people close to Harry. He lost his parents, his godfather, a friend, and now his mentor. I think killing her would push him to have the resolve he needs to win. He didn't really keep her safe by dumping her, because no one who could hurt her even knows he dumped her, so it would also teach him to be smarter.

I would do it close to the beginning of book seven. Maybe an attack at the wedding? Anyway, for me, it would be Ginny, no question about it.

I am curious why the choices are so limited. There are many other characters just as worthy and/or irritating than those listed for the poll.

For example, why isn't Ginny listed?
