There are a lot of minor characters in the HP series - understandable in a series so comprehensive. Which (if any) do you think will have the most significant impact in Book 7? A lot of characters which aren't exactly in starring roles haven't been included because they are too obvious - Neville, Luna etc. Remember, the question is only which one will surprise us most, not which one is most likable, etc. Do you think any of them is hiding something? Are any of them likely to give us a shock in book 7? Vote for them!!!
Padfoot08
Ms. Figg. She is a squib, but so what. She knows a lot about the Order.
I think that she will have a major role in the upcoming book.
Vindictive Dark
I picked Nearly Headless Nick. You did ask who would "surprise" us, and so that's why I picked him. Who on earth would expect him? biggrin.gif

As for who really will have a significant impact (but I didn't vote for him, choosing to opt for something funnier), it'd have to be Peter. For a while now, he has had that looming cloud over his head telling him that he has to do something to make up for his debt to Harry, so this new book is now or never for him.

All the people who had the bulk of their personalities developed in HBP, I didn't go with, simply because it wouldn't be a surprise. Everyone will be watching them now.

As dumbledore is dead..so i think fawks will help harry in hp7 ..
if not fawks then perhaps dumbledores brother...
TheatreNerd0048
i must say other, because i think Ginny will have a huge impact on Harry, now that their together.

there will probably be a conflict between Ginny wanting to help, and Harry refusing to let her; and since they're both pretty stubborn, i'd like to see who wins.
Voldemort could take her and use her to try to distract Harry.
there are endless possibilities. Although there are with any other character.
Mr_Black
As dumbledore is dead..so i think fawks will help harry in hp7 ..
if not fawks then perhaps dumbledores brother...THANKS

SerafinaPekkala
Yeah, I thought Fawkes myself, cos he's the best symbol of Dumbledore left. Thanks for the feedback everyone! If you vote for "other," please say who you mean.
Kaylyn
I stated other because I believe that we will all be surprised by Snape in the end. I also do not believe that Snape is truly evil, and will play a surprisingly major roll in the 7th and final installment of the Harry Potter series.
silverstag
i voted for narcissa because i had gotten the wrong idea on the topic but if i had gotten the right idea i would have voted for fawks.the reason i voted for narcissa is because i think the person who might play her will suprise us in either a good way or a horribly bad way.
passerby
I chose Aberforth . . .Dumbledore's brother. I think that he'll be a key informant (as I'm convinced he's the bartender at the hog's head.) Perhaps he will be sought out for help. I'm hoping that she'll include something more with him in this next book.
karsh05
Well, I voted for Dumbledore's Brother, Aberforth, for those who forgot! I belive he will play a huge roll in the horcruxes and in stepping in for dumbledore becuase he is dead and snape really is evil, or possibly, Aberforth could be exactly the opposite of what dumbledore is and what we expect him to be...a possible death eater of lv supporter?? we will have to wait and see... dry.gif
Nawrehsuan
I also chose Dumbledore's brother because I feelthat he may want to get revenge against the the Death Eaters for what they did to DD. I think he might join the order and fight with them.
*pretty in punk*
I would have to say Aunt Petunia. Since book 5 she has been hiding a secret. I want to know that secret! blink.gif
AmandaDarling11
I voted Fawkes because he's already helped Harry in the Chamber of Secrets so who's to say he wouldn't help again? Being Dumbledore's bird I think he is very smart and it's possible that he could have a huge role.
Hermione_Resilda
I think that Aunt Petunia will become a more important character. J.K. already said that there's more to her than meets the eye, but I think she and Dudley will become very important in the final battle because they're in Harry's blood. Kinda funny to imagine it now...Harry going up to Dudley, and in a very casual voice, telling him that he has to help him kill one of the most evil wizards, hehe.
therearethree
I see that once again, Remus Lupin has been overlooked. In addition, I think that Fawkes will also be truly astonishing in his contribution to the resolution of the story
headmaster_dippet24
I said Peter Petigrew because he still owes a debt to Harry and if he repays that debt that could prove to be very important. Also he is working with Voldemort and all he wants to do is save his neck so if he were to be caught by the order he would probably spill the beans.
Louise
I think that out of those possibilities, the one we're most likely to be surprised by (or at least the one who I would like to be more surprised by) is Eileen Prince.

I really am convinced that there is so much more to Snape than meets the eye, so much in his past that we have yet to learn that might explain why he is the way he is, and I think a lot of that has to do with his mother. The similarities between Voldermort, Harry and Snape with regard to their parents and backgrounds are just too huge to ignore - it's like Voldemort and Harry are the two extremes, while Snape hovers somewhere between the two. I'm sure that Snape's mother had something to do with that, especially in light of JKR saying that Snape was loved by *someone* - who else could he have been loved by other than his mother?

So definitely Eileen Prince for me. At least, I hope so. I'll probably be a bit disappointed if we've already found out everything about her that we need to know.
luv_flies_away
i was going to say Lupin or Neville Longbottom (yes i do think he will surprise us all!) but they weren't on it. i was going to say other until i saw Fawks there. i had totally overlooked Fawks until i read this poll. i don't know why but i just did. I think that Fawks will shows one of his exceptional powers that he has and aid the order. But then again i could be just saying this because i hope this will happen.

However in HBP Fawks disappears so maybe he will not return. He might return (maybe) to help the order. he might, who knows. I personally want him to show up in the seventh to do something exceptional and just blow me away. but it might only be a false hope.
Dean_Thomas
I think Nevill will really do something great in the
last book... Like kill Voldy or something
He is awsome! wink.gif
Lizzy_Radcliffe
I said other, because I think that Neville will prove again that he's a gryffindor by doing something for Harry in number seven. I was surprised to see that he wasn't on the list...
Harry_Ginny777
i think the person who will suprise us the most in the 7th Harry Potter book is Aunt Petunia thye say there is more ot her then meets the eye i think she had a magicial boy friend before Venon.
Spencer Potter
I say Remus J. Lupin, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew and Voldemort (Hes not really a main character because hes only in like 1 scene for about 10 minute and thats not really a main character).
wizkid_12
i think something is going to happen with Neville...he has to be included somehow. i also think(hope) that Sirius may surprise us somehow by communicating with Harry or something like that
lillyevans
I think neville is going to do something verry unexpected and I think malfoys mother too
amanda1212
I agree with lillyevans. Neville will have a big role and do something unexpected.
nelliemerk
I said Aunt Petunia, I know she's hiding something from harry, I feel she could have imformation that could very well change every thought.
DoubleD
I voted for Peter Pettigrew. I hope that he may help Harry find the last Horcruxes or help him in the final fight between Harry and Voldie. Would be a surpise, at least to Voldie...
To me it is more likely that Aunt Petunia will show some signs of interest in magic and will thus surprise Vernon...
Neville may do something heroic, just like Lupin, but it wouldn't surprise me too much.
No, my vote remains for Peter Pettigrew...
Estella
i said other because..i dont know ..i think that many of them will surprise us. these are very complicated books...more than one character probably will surprise us
Waterlilly
I believe that Fawkes will surprise me in book 7 because there is probably more to him than meets the eye. Fawkes may be a great help to Harry in the final battle against Voldemort. He may have special secrets and powers that may probably be used to Harry's advantage. Also, Dumbledore was the the owner of Fawkes, so Fawkes will probably be somewhat like Dumbledore in book 7.
Dumbledore's Son
I think that Aberforth (Dumbledore's brother) will surprise us in book 7 because now that Dumbledore's dead he will try and help Harry to defeat Voldemort.
Loopy_Luna
Chose Peter Pettigrew because he owes Harry his life

Not really a surprise to us but a BIG surprise for Voldermort

Pettigrew may get a guilty consious and use a bit of the bravery he is supposed to have

He is a Griffindor after all. About time he showed the Griffindor traits

Rogue Bludger
I think several of the characters on the list could play a big role in HP7, especially Fawkes and Narcissa. I would love to see Olivander step in and help out Harry, but i voted for Narcissa. She pressured Snape into the Vow and could do something like that again. She is a character that could be a major hinderance to Voldy if she blames him for losing Lucius or possibly Draco....
CarribeanWitch
I chose Fawkes because of his huge connection with Dumbledore. I know that Dumbledore is dead, but Fawkes is a character that I know is going to be helping Harry in his quest to destroy LV.
taintedlove-xx
I chose other becuase I think it will be Zacharis Smith, with all the talk on him / Hepibazh Smith being realted, which I storgnly agree with .... so yeah... : ) maybe Fawkes too though
Amyrat151
Petunia, she knows something about something, and I can't want to find out just what the heck that is. I also think that Malfoy's Mom might do something.
HPFan792
I think Aunt Petunia may surprise us.J.K said that there was something about Petunia that we didn't know.I think she has a secret and she knows something. There is more to Petunia then we know i think J.K said and i am dying to find out what it is.
hp1
i think that either aunt petunia or fawkes will surprise us in the last book. JKR has said that they both will have an important role in the last book and that there is something about them that we never knew that will show up in the last book.
wait_siriusly411
i chose peter pettigrew....lets not forget that he has his whole life-debt to harry.....and then other than him....i think aberforth dumbledore might also surprise us smile.gif...and maybe aunt petunia, too.....
*Priori Incantatem*
I think that Hawkes is a good choice but also a bit predictable/obvious if you see where im coming from. Hawkes has already helped Harry (chamber of secrets) and is loyal to Dumbledore so if he did return to help harry in book 7, personally, i dont think it would be that much of a suprise.

That why i chose Petunia, i think that she is really important to the books and will be more so in book 7. we know that she promised dumbledore something and i think JK will reveal a lot about her in the final book. despite her negative attitude (understatement) towards the wizarding world i reckon she will suprise us by helping harry when we least expect it
BamaGirl08
It has already been said that we will find out more about Aunt Petunia in the final book, and that is something I am looking very much forward to.
Dumbledore's girl thru and thru
I chose 'other'

By 'other' I meant Sirius's brother, Regulas Black. I assume his middle name starts with an 'A' which would, of course, make his initials 'R. A. B.'

workaholic_1231
I chose Petunia, because like others have already stated, she knows something, we just don't know it yet. I have a good feeling that she'll surprise everyone with knowing maybe something that no one else knows.
bellarosa
I think Sirius will play a very important role in the 7th book and surprise us with something....

Yes, I know he's dead...Im not loony! But even dead (he COULD be alive....) he'll leave us with our mouths open!

tonyr007
I think it's a tie between Neville and Luna. My guess is that Neville is going to get Beatrix Lestrange and Luna is going to do something equally spectacular.

I was tempted to vote for Aunt Petunia, because she just might hug Harry and tell him to be careful or get the wizard who killed her sister before Harry leaves Privet Drive for the last time.
fragglecomegomibayas
I voted for Narcissa because I get the picture that she might not be too powerful but she's definitely an influence to some of the Death Eaters, like the way she had Snape take the Unbreakable Vow, I think she might do something equally as impressive and something that provoques a mayor change of pace in the plot line rolleyes.gif
Padfoot, Prongs and Moony
I voted Aunt Petunia because she could all of sudden care about Harry in the seventh book. But I think that everyone will surprise us all, even Harry, Ron and Hermione.
J-B-L 4 HP
hello there

well from the first book Aunt petunia was somthing more than she showed.

Something big will happen with her in DH. i just know it.

I also think Neville will have a bigger roll in DH

peace
hpangel94
I chose Dumbledore's brother Aberforth, because he was put in there for a reason. And he's bound to have at least some traits Dumbledore had, so he could possibly be a big help! Oh and for the person who put this:

U r right, he is a Gryffindor, but you're also forgetting that he is a complete coward. He would be too afraid to even think about leaving Voldemort, so you know he has no bravery.
luna_quibbler
i would most-likely choose peter,aberforth,petunia and dudley

Peter Pettigrew
1.why was he in gryffindor if he's a coward?

2.why did he became LV's follower if his bestfriends were against him?

3.what will he do with his life dept for harry?

there's more but its too many so i'll just let you guys think of this first. wink.gif

Aberforth dumbledore
1.why was he working in the hogs head (possible)?

2.why was he not in the book yet?

3.why hasn't dumbledore mention him once?

many more to come after you all think about these. happy.gif

Petunia (evans) dursley

1.why does she hate harry? other than because of harry's mother.

2.how did she know about the dementors?

3.why does she know so much about the wizarding world for a muggle?

4. is she really a muggle?

all for now about our mysterious aunt petunia wink.gif

Dudley dursley

1.what did he see when the dementors attacked them in harry's 5th year?

2.was he a muggle?

3.why so angry with harry, when he's so spoiled?

4.was his reasons of hating him is jealusy?

many more to come guyz but this is all for now.

these are the main questions which are bugging me and i can't concentrate on my exam. so pls. tell me anything realted to this
