Enjoy! wink.gif
Thegirlwholived
I live in Hong Kong (I suppose not many of you have heard of this place), China. I wanna live in Scotland or America!!!!! These places have the priviledge to see movies first. In a here, we watched GOF 22-12-05!!!!!!!!!!! And I'd seen Nanny Mcphee and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 on plane and when i got home, it still didn't went on cinemas. Pretty uncool, huh?
DoubleD
Thegirlwholived: How many Hong kongs are there? Do you mean the big city Hong Kong which has been an english colony for a long time until (I guess) 1990? Or is there a little town which is really impossible to know without living there?
As all of the VTM users are quite intelligent (because they read harry Potter wink.gif), I think some of them have heard of Hong Kong.

Well, as some of you may have seen a map of Germany in the last few days (because of the soccer world championship), it's the best to say that I live near Hannover, in northern Germany.
The stupid thing is that I have to wait for the German Harry Pooter versions to come out for so long... sad.gif

I live in the US. I'd rather live in Greece though, because most European people are smarter and more fit than most Americans. And my family is from Greece.
[Mod Edit] Hi, please don't issue such comments. Nationality doesn't qualify a general group for specific, individual attributes. <oops. sorry shutup.gif >

I live in the UK.Well a big(ish) village called Ballater in Aberdeenshire, Scotland to be precise.A very exciting part of the world. unsure.gif Put it this way the nearest shopping centre is just over an hour away blink.gif How annoying. The weather varies, snows quite regularly in the winter- which is a good thing because we get days off school if the snow's too bad. laugh.gif One winter it snowed non-stop, and i mean non-stop, for 5 days. There was like 4 foot of snow and it was freezing. Apart from that it's a great place to live rolleyes.gif

I live in Italy, in a small town in the middle of it, not so far from Rome.. Has anyone ever been there and eaten the italian pizza?!?! It's fantastic!! I like my country (people are friendly and weather is good), but I'd prefer living in UK (where I'll go this summer!!)...

I live in the U S of A!!! I would love to go to Italy! OR spain, 'cause Im mexican, and my great grandfather was from spain!

I live in the USA in a small town in West Virginia called Moundsville. If I lived in a different country, it would be somewhere in Western Europe. Lots of HP related places there! But I love America!! God Bless the USA!!
Misto
I love Rome! Well, unless your teacher tries you to see every little detail within a week during the hottest summer ever blink.gif But Idefinately need to come back to Rome on my own and not in July when the lowest temperature you ever get to see is 35°C at 3 am

I live in the UK, Wales to be more presise, Porthcawl to be even more accurate. It's a small seaside town that used to be a tourist place until people got richer and could afford to go somewhere hot instead. So it's now more of a retirement home, aka a place where old people come to dye. yeah, laugh a minuite. rolleyes.gif
QUOTE

Yeah, in the UK the weather varies a huge amount which is probally why we are so known for talking about the weather. Today, it's sunny. Yesterday, it was windy. Day before that, it was raining. ect. So yeah, we talk about the weather tonnes, but is it just a British thing? I'm sure other countries do it too, what else is there to talk about?

Hong Kong is really famous, everyone I know has heard of it!

I'd like to live in Ireland most. I have my heart set on it smile.gif One day, when I am rich and famous (or simply offered a job there...) I will live there.

Porthcawl isn't so bad. It's the home of Côr Meibion Portcawl, a merry band of singers, and nice hills at your back. At least it isn't Abertawe or Berry.

<sigh> I wish I could be in dear old Cymru right now.

hiya,I live in the UK, London. I was born here and have always lived here..and I absolutely love it. I am sure if I had lived in another country all my life then I would never want to come to London but anyhows theres no point saying that since I haven’t lived anywhere else..Yes I agree that the weather changes very quickly in the UK. The beginning of the week starts off sunny and all, but by the time its Wednesday, it’s pouring rain. I can tell you how annoying that is. I don’t live very far away from Central London and everyone, when you see London in postcards or on the internet, you are seeing the good places, yea..but there are lots of places which aren’t very well looked after..but it’s still great and a wonderful place to visit. Oh yea Nick, I went to visit Kent last year..and I think it is a wonderful place..well the parts that I saw! Anyway London may seem very big, but by the time you’ve lived there long enough, you’d know your way blindfolded! tongue.gif Thanks, V.H

Nick, you are joking, right! You never told me that you have a summer house in East Hampton! I live right near there!

I live on Long Island, a beautiful small Island off the southern tip of New York. It is home to many famous towns and cities, including the Hamptons, Montauk, Flushing (in Queens) and even Fire Island. Two of the five Boroughs of New York (Brooklyn and Queens) are located on Long Island as well. It is the most populous island in the United States (including U.S. territories, such as Puerto Rico and Guam, as well as the Hawaiian Islands). It is actually the 17th most populous island in the world! President Theodore Roosevelt had a house on Long Island (which is now a museum), and the Vanderbilt family used to reside here.

We have a pretty temperate climate, which is nice...hot summers and cold winters, but nothing too extreme. biggrin.gif

Heya mateys,

I live in Sydney area in Australia - couple of minutes near the city. In my little town, there are lots of greenery area around here which is why I chose to live in here as it is pretty rare to have lots of trees, native plants, particularly near the city!

But I grew up in the beautiful Blue Mountains, which is about 1 half hours away from Sydney, and has lots of stunning bushes, waterfalls, mountains, good walking tracks for a day bush walk... Gets cold in winter, sometimes it snows and my dad used to have a fire going on after walking home from school sad.gif How do I miss living there! But then I visit sometimes, so it's not too bad.

It sounds so interesting to hear you guys about where you live - tell me more! biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif Where abouts do you live???

I tend to spend Christmas and half the summer out there, because my Dad kind of lives there and in New York city, so i guess it's like kind of my home...We have a house right on the sea, which is really nice because we can look right over a harbour called Three Mile Harbour, so when the suns setting it's muy beau....

I live in the US in a city called Miami. I live in Florida otherwisely known as the Sunshine State, but it's been raining on and off, which I LOVE! Today is June 1st the offical start to Hurricane Season. So us Floridians have to watch out for anything that forms in the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, or elsewhere. Here in Miami we have "Hurricane Days" instead of "Snow Days". I must admit I enjoy those days! laugh.gif

I have a friend who is currently in England for the summer and she told me it's like 50 degrees there. Well it's not even close to that here! It's really hot and humid most days. As many know by now, I have dreams to live in the UK. Though it seems very unlikely, I have the determination to make my dreams come through, so in the next 10 years you know where to find me! biggrin.gif

That sounds really nice. One or twice a year, my family drives down to the Hamptons to see some friends of my aunt (and I suppose us, as well) who have a nice house with a huge pool somewhere near the water. It is such a great neighborhood to have a summer house, right!? There and upstate New York are two nice places....

Anyway, I live in Nassau County, so not exactly right next to you, but only around an hour and a half west. One county over....

Did you ever eat at the restaurant -- I cannot remember the name -- I believe it is called "Lunch"...or maybe that is just a nickname. They have wonderful seafood and are famous for their lobster salad... tongue.gif

Yes, acually I just used Google Earth yesterday, Vian! My friend and I were looking up specific places in the ocuntry where we are going to on a trip over the summer. It is amazing how it pinpoints the place down to the exact building! blink.gif

Then I checked my own house and I was a bit less amazed. The satellite photo was from before I moved into the house...which mean that the pictures are at least NINE years old. I guess a ton of stuff must be outdated, then!

Hey there are some fellow New Yokers here. I'm a Brooklynite personally and you guys should feel free to visit my borough. Looks like mostof the voters are North American and British. But given the book it makes sense. Maybe you Hampton guys will swing by Williamsburg someday. Just be on your toes, though. witchmom
Hi...I'm Witchmom,
I'm from Italy, I'm writing from the beautiful and magic island of Sicily, pearl of the Mediterranean.
I think that the whole world is fantastic but there are places that I love more than others, I feel more in connection with some places....One of these is Wales, and maybe Scotland (but too cold actually for me...). I love also North Africa and Malta, I feel perfectly at ease there.

Recently there has been a big mess about building a bridge between Sicily and continental Italy. This project is absolutely mad, because it's a very risky area because of earthquakes, and the bridge making would destroy forever the natural environment.
The most of Sicilian people think that being islanders is ok, we don't have any problem with taking a ferry or a plane to go outside our island, we are used to travel even if...we always come back to our island. Instead of a silly bridge, we really need better roads within the island!!

Another very strong presence in my area is the Etna, a big active volcano. Its activity is part of the daily life. I'd say that Sicily is a perfect crossing between elements: fire -the volcano-, water -beautiful beaches-, earth -we produce delicious organic food- and air -lovely winds-. That's why, maybe, magic is still so strong in Sicilian minds and souls...the remainings of Greek and roman temples and buildings are remarkable and traces of ancient Pagan cults can be seen in the Patron saint feasts all around Sicily.

I would ask something to the Londoners: I'm coming to London this week and I'd like to visit some shops with HP merchandise. Have you got suggestions? What about HP places to visit?

Thanks

Witchmom )O(

Hello. I live in the USA. Maryland to be exact. I live in a suburb of Washington D.C, our nation's capital. I live in a little road that goes nowhere, so its quite quiet. I can walk in the street, too. I love going to DC. There are so many museums and other things to do. If my dream of moving to New York City doesn't work I'll probably live there.

This year when I went to New Orleans, we went to a rather famous resturant that my dad saw on TV on time, and the owner asked us where we lived, and when we all said "around DC" he was like "there are too many protests! How do you get around?" It was funny. I wanted to go to the save darfur one but I didn't get to. Oh well..

That was kind of pointless but who cares biggrin.gif

Hey!

I live in Denton, Texas. I doubt anyone knows where that is, even the person from Brownsville (which, for those of you not familiar with texas geography, is on the other side of the state, about 575 miles or 925 kilometers away). But I assume many of you might know where Dallas is, or at least have either heard of the old Soap Opera or have seen the tv show "Walker, Texas Ranger." Denton is about a 30 minute drive north of Dallas. I have never ridden a horse (well, I guess I did once when I was about 3), and am not a "cowboy." I don't drive a truck and don't like country music either. smile.gif Other than that, Dallas is a pretty normal city, though it doesn't get the size respect it deserves, because the actual metroplex is made up of three cities within 30 minutes of each other that have grown together, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denton. The metroplex (we call it "DFW," and if you fly in, you'll fly in to DFW airport) is pretty huge, one of the biggest in the US. I'll post later with some intersting facts about Texas, etc.
