I decided to open up a thread specifically for those traingles between characters..they arent generating much discussion on their own but as a group maybe they will have more luck..I just want to reiterate the point that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and the shipping rules apply everywhere on the forum

The Triangles I have locked are as follows

Fred/George/?
Harry/Ginny/Draco
Ginny/Neville/Luna
Harry/Hermione/Ginny
Harry/Ron/Hermione
Hermione/Lockheart/Krum
Luna/Harry/Ginny

hmm...I am both a H/Hr and H/G and R/Hr so i will first post about the Harry/Hermione/Ginny!
I think both H/G and H/Hr can happen in their own way and it will be good to hav another of those Hermione and Ginny fights which rarely happen but have happened like in HBP when Hermione was scolding Harry for doing the "sectumsempra" spell on Malfoy, Ginny came and defended Harry. Well this time they could fihgt over him but not because of Malfoy but because of Harry himself....they are both smart girls who are pretty and Harry likes and respects them both so i think this ship is likely to happen.

I don't necessarilly support this love triangle, but i'm convinced as hell that this will happen:
Draco/Hermione/Ron.

I know most people would dismiss this because Malfoy calls Hermione a mudblood(which is narrow minded in my opinion). And he hates her. Now, I've said it once and I'll say it again: Malfoy respects and admires Hermione.(this of course, is beyond his control.)

Now, if you've read the HBP, you as well as I have (or probably not), will have noticed something very interesting about Draco's behaviour.

Draco is in love...Or extreme like.

While I don't really suppot it, I think that a Luna/Harry/Ginny triangle is possible. Harry did ask Luna out to that party, supposedly just as friends. And I really think that Harry likes Luna more than he thinks . Harry has broken up with Ginny (kind of true). So it could turn out that there will be a Luna/Harry/Ginny triangle, which would be rather interesting.

I don't really think that a love triangle will happen in the series. But, if one were to occur, I think that it would be between Harry/Hermione/Ron. In book 7, the three will be the closest they have ever been. They will be hunting for the Horcruxes, and I believe that the three of them together will help defeat Voldemort. Harry will see that he was wrong in assuming that something was going on between R/Hr, and he will also realize that he is having romantic feelings for Hermione. Ron will notice Harry's attraction for Hermione and MAY not like it much. He has always been jealous of Harry for things he himself doesn't have. IMO, Hermione has always loved Harry, so it's a given as to whom she will choose.

Like, I said, I don't think that a love triangle will really happen. It's too much of a distraction for the trio, and it will very well turn out to be disastrous for them too!

ginny/harry/hermione
ron/hermione/draco
ron/luna/harry
charlie/tonks/lupin
harry/hermione/draco

Well i think the triangles are quite right.Especially Harry/Ron/Hermione.
Harry/Ginny/Hermione.

I think that those are the most likely triangles, because the others don't really show a lot of supporting evidence (for me.).

the idea of draco being in love also could be true because of his strange behaviour, but i think that was fear from voldemort. anyway doesnt draco like pansy parkinson?

also between harry/ron/hermione

i dont know who hermione would choose, maybe harry because he is more her type and it would make ron jealous again. but she said she like ron in HBP so maybe harry will have to watch his friends become closer because he said he wasnt happy if the did start going out.

i dont think anything will go on with harry and luna because he has ginny, who he prefers.

if the harry/ron/hermione thing does happen it may split their friendship before their final battle so it is unlikely something will happen in my opinion

Love triangles. I doubt it. I think H/G will happen and Hr/R. These two make cute couples. However I doubt people will fight over love for Hermione.

well im not sure if i agree with the triangles but ever since the first book i thought that Draco likes Hermione
kind off like he knows he shouldnt like her because shes muggleborn I think that thast drives him crazy and it makes him be mean to her
so maybe a Ron/Hermione/Draco traingle?
I also think that is going to affect ron in a way

I am all for the HArry/Hermone/ Ginny one, but isnt that kinda like cheating?? I think so. But harry and Herione and HArry and Ginny both make really good couples so it really would be hard to decide!

My favorite is probably the H/HR/G because that is the most likely of the love triangles. Although i dont think H/Hr will ever happen H and G are both smart and beautiful girls who both have feelings for harry whether as friends or as more than friends.

again i say that hermione and ron is a couple that has already been ran through with J.K Rowling in some of her interviews but if there is a triangle it will probaly be hermione/ron/draco
well in my opinion

i strongly think that there will be harry/hermione/ron.
Besides, if hermione and ron get together, WHAT ABOUT LUNA!?!??! J.K.rowling has already confirmed that Luna and Neville don't end up together so who else is there? we cant just leave such an important charater alone!?!? can we? At the end of HBP there is neither Harry and ginny, nor ron and hermione.

I suppose though harry/hermione/ginny will be more than possible seeing as there are both pretty important to him.

I would probably say Harry/Ginny/Neville as a love triangle because well Harry fancies Ginny and she fancies him they even went out with each other in HBP and i think Neville sort of fancies Ginny and i think she might fancy him a bit too since they went to the Yule Ball together.

I'd like to thank Chelsie for her post... i've never really thought about that before. It makes sense. But i think it will be Draco/Hermione/Ron. Ron hates Draco, and that would be a great duel to watch. I bet Hermione would pick Ron though. After all, she was a bit torn up by him calling her a mudblood.

I´ve been thinking about a triangle with minor charactors that I don´t think would ever happen but still. What about Fred/Angelina/Lee? Lee fancies Angelina but she will never go out with him and then Fred takes Angelina to the Yule ball. This could cause some complications between Fred and Lee´s friendship.

The only one I would ever consider is H/R/Hr. Hermione will have to decide between the two boys...... I want to say Harry but I really think Ron with Hermione.
Harry will go with Ginny. There's no one else....unless he meets someone in the 7th book..

Now if any triangle was to come into it, i'd say H/R/Hr, but not in the way you'd think. Hermione'd like Ron, Ron'd like Hermione, Harry'd want them to hurry it up already and doesn't like either of them as more than a friend, but Ron thinks Hermione's in love with Harry, and thinks he doesn't stand a chance, while Hermione see's Harry as the reason Ron's not making a move, so she'll be trying to stay away from Harry, Ron'll have no idea what's she's doing, confront her then finally get together and meanwhile all this Harry's just going:

I would really like to see these love triangles forming in the seventh book, and, yes, ending too:

Harry/Hermione/Ginny
Harry/Ron/Hermione
Ron/Luna/Hermione

As you can see, Hermione is involved in those three. Harhar.

I found it funny tht you thought that Ron thinks Hermione's in love with Harry, when Harmonians think the opposite (i.e. Harry thinks R/Hr like each other) since this is all from Harry's POV in the first place.

I do think that Ron likes Hermione, but it is unrequited. Perhaps this is why JKR has not finalized a R/Hr ship in canon. I personally believe that Hermione likes Harry but Harry is totally oblivious to it all. Harry can be pretty thick.

But, I agree, I just don't see JKR as a triangle person.

I actually think she's more of a rectangle person. LOL. Well, who knows if JKR is a triangle person or not?

I think the view of Harry is like that of the main character in Emma [Jane Austen's book. I don't know the characters because I haven't read it yet]. The main character thinks that this two friends should be together. Sounds like Harry? Yes or no? I think Yes. It's been discussed in Portkey, my friend said so.

DeSs, I like the Voldemort/Bella/Rodolphus one. There's just that problem of Voldemort not being able to love anthing or anyone so it wouldn't work.

And Luna/Neville/Trevor is classic!

Love triangles were never part of the equation with JK. I mean, if you want drama! romances, I'm afraid one has to look else where. I'm so, so glad that H/Hr/R was never a triangle. That was honestly one of my biggest fears for the books. Not that Hermione and Harry would get together, but that their would be this big teenage hormone, angst mess to come with it.

I mean, if Luna loved Neville and then she saw him with Ginny... MAYBE SHE WOULD CRY. And Luna always smiles so... and then Ron could be in love with her at the same time and she tells him about Neville. He comforts her. And Neville would see this and think Ron and Luna are together. So he would be sad 'cause he loves Luna.(but he thought she didn't like him so he tried to date Ginny but then he broke up with her) So then the Luna/Neville/Ginny triangle turns into Neville/Luna/Ron. And Ginny secretely liked Draco, but they're families hate eachother so they couldn't be together and Draco hated her... So she would try to make him jealous but she didn't know who she would date, 'cause Harry and Hermione were together, so she started dating Neville. So.. Ginny doesn't bother that much that Neville likes Luna...

In the end Ginny would go to Draco and tell him that she likes him. And he will be like . And then Neville and Luna end up together <333. Harry and Hermione... well... nothing inmportant with them lol. XD And Ron would date... Hannah Abbott. XDDDD

I like the Luna/Harry/Ginny triangle.

I really have no idea who Luna likes because she dosen't really show emotion (she just has that dreamy stare). So I think that at one point Luna did like Harry. But Harry liked Ginny and... wait I'm getting myself all confused!
