Heya!
Well, this is my first one shot, it's about Ron riding the bus. I originally planned it to be a humorous one but I don't think it turned out very well. Let me know what you think.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters (namely Ron because he's the only one in this story) they are property of J.K Rowling.

On the Bus

Ron stood at the bus stop and peered around at his muggle surroundings, he saw the cars go zooming past, the posters in the subways and he saw numerous amounts of teenagers ‘texting’ each other with what they called ‘Cell phones’. He walked around with his hands deep in his pockets, catching snippets of conversations.
“Did you see the game last night?”
“The Man U versus Liverpool? Yeah I saw that!”
“It was awesome as eh? Did you see that goal? Man, that was so cool! He was like ‘woah! Vroom and then bang! Did you hear the bang it made when it hit the net?” One boy asked his friend as he tried to re-enact the scene.
Ron walked on and stood in front of a poster of people holding up bottles of ‘7-up’ and smiling. He poked at them with his finger, determined to make them move but they wouldn’t budge. He took out his wand and tried poking them again, but the glass case that was holding it cracked and then broke, shards of glass scattering all over the ground.
The two boys talking about the big game stopped and stared at Ron who was laughing his head off and repeatedly saying
“Stupid muggles!”
The boys looked at each other with raised eyebrows and then continued talking, occasionally looking back at Ron who was now surveying a wrecked can of Coke with wide eyes. He shoved it in his pocket, determined to keep as many souvenirs from the muggle world as possible. He walked up and down the street and then into a supermarket on the corner, standing with his head in a refrigerator door and staring at the drinks encased in it. He heard a loud screech and looked outside to see the ‘bus’ arrive at the bus stop. He shot out the door then went back inside to see how the electronic doors worked but he got stuck in between them as the bus was about to leave. He sprinted back to the bus stop and jumped on the bus.
“Where to dear?” Said a cheery bus driver.
“Huh? Oh, um, uhhh……” He said as he tried to remember the address Harry had given him, but failed, so he just said the first thing that popped into his head.
“The Leaky Cauldron” He said, digging his hands in his pockets to retrieve his coin that would take him to the Leaky Cauldron. He tried to shove it into the slot which the bus cards went into but no such luck.
The bus driver looked bewildered.
“Sorry dear, what did you say?” She asked, shaking her head.
“Oh, sorry.” He didn’t realise this muggle was hard of hearing.
“THE LEAKY CAULDRON!” He shouted.
The bus driver looked shocked and scared.
“Just get on the bus” She said.
Ron walked down the isle and sat down next to a man reading a magazine, he obviously hadn’t heard Ron shouting at the driver, because he wasn’t casting him strange looks.
Ron looked around with a smile on his face and discovered the ‘stop’ buttons. He grinned and pushed it, then again and then again, then again and then again. He chuckled.
“The things these muggles dream up” He said quietly to himself.
They stopped at a set of traffic lights.
Ron looked up, then he looked down the back of the bus where no one was sitting and ran down there. He hid behind the seat and got his wand out
“I’ll get us out of this” He muttered. He cleared his throat and scanned his head for a spell to start the bus again, but one didn’t come. After a few minutes the bus lurched forward and drove on.
Ron smiled to himself, he knew he’d get them out of it.
He looked to the side of him and saw a stop button, he started pressing it, again and again, chuckling every time he heard the ‘beep’, after a while he got bored. Somebody came and sat down on the opposite end of the seat, music blaring in his ears from some kind of electronic device that made music play. Ron looked curiously at him, picking up a few words in the song. The man looked up at Ron to see him looking at him, he got a bit freaked and walked over to a different seat. Ron looked after him, then back at the seat. He saw a money holding bag-thing and he reached his hand out to get it. Turning it over he saw that it was one of those wallets Harry had told him about. He opened it and saw at least 10 notes of muggle money, along with some coins. He picked up a note, staring at it. When he tested to see how strong it was it ripped in half. He chuckled, gosh those muggles are hopeless, he thought.
After about 15 minutes Ron was getting extremely bored, he moved to the front, then the back, then the front again, then to the middle and to the front again. He noticed a large red bottle attached to a wall. He took it off the hook and looked at it.
“Fire ex-tingwisher” He said aloud.
“Hmm, I wonder who that is” He took a hook and pulled it back, not knowing what he was doing and then out sprayed a whole lot of white, foamy stuff. He dropped the bottle which was still spraying the stuff and walked towards the driver.
“Something has happened to fire ex-tingwisher” He said.
“You better take a look at it” He added and walked off.
He sat on the back seat, watching everyone trying to clean up the mess that had filled up at least half the bus but it was simply no use. Ron walked towards a set of doors in the back of the bus and tried to open them, but they wouldn’t budge, even after he had tried the ‘Alohomora’ charm. He sighed exasperatingly and looked up. He noticed two buttons on the roof that sloped downwards.
There was a green one and a red one.
The green one said ‘Emergency open’ and the red one said ‘Emergency close’.
He pressed the green one and the doors opened.
“Hey everyone! I found something to open the doors! Look!” He shouted as he pressed the red one. He doors closed. He pressed the green one again and they opened.
“Everybody off the bus!” The bus driver shouted, pushing her hair out of her eyes with a had covered with fire ex-tingwishing foam.
Ron ran through the open doors and jumped off the bus, he had no idea where to go now. He noticed a small, shabby, black building that muggles took no notice off, walking past as if it weren’t there.
He walked into the dark building, but instead of having an atmosphere of utter gloom, the mood was quite cheerful.
“What can I get ya sir?” Said a man from behind the counter
“I’ll just have a butterbeer thanks Tom” Ron replied. “I’ve just got off from one of those muggle ‘busses’” He added, chuckling “What an experience”.
