Now we have the new system of two separate forums – one for posting Fanfics and one for feedback on said Fanfics, authors need to start up TWO new threads when they begin posting a new Fanfic, one in each of the afore mentioned forums.

What you need to do,

A - SET UP A FEEDBACK THREAD:

1. It’s easier to go to the feedback forum HERE first and start the set up. Click on the “New Topic” link at the top right hand of the page.

2. Insert your Fanfic title in the ‘Title Box’ and “Feedback Only” in the ‘Description Box’.

3. Then type up something to let people know why you have created the thread, for example… “Please leave your reviews here if you are reading my Fanfic”… etc, with any additional notes you wish to add about the type of reviews you’re happy to accept. Please provide a link to you Fanfic once you have set that thread up in the Fanfic Forum in PART B. Give the readers a general description, if you can, and what characters you will focus on.

4. Check all your information is correct and then click “Submit”.

5. A thread will be created. Copy the link to your new Feedback Thread for use in PART B.

B - SET UP YOUR FANFIC THREAD:

1. Go to the Fanfic forum and select the correct subcategory for your main character. Once inside that subforum, click the “New Poll” at the top right hand side of the page (polls are highly recommended for one-shot fictions and shorter stories). If you opt not to include a poll then click on “New Topic”.

2. Fill out your Fanfic title in the first allocated space, and then the main characters and SHIP-if applicable- in the subheading.(This is also where the rating must go if it’s required)

3. * Insert the Poll Question ‘What do you think of my Fanfic? or How do you rate my story?’ (Something like that)

4. * We highly recommend using the Hogwarts grading system below because its a bit more fun than just Good, Bad, etc (thanks goes to bajab, for the suggestion! ) List them one after the other straight down as below.

- Outstanding (O)
- Exceeds Expectations (E)
- Acceptable (A)
- Poor (P)
- Dreadful (D)
- Troll (T)

NB - *applies to polls only.

5. Copy and paste, or type up your first chapter (it can also be in a form of prologue or introduction) in the text box. NOW add the link to your recently created feedback thread at the end of your post. Click Submit.

And you’re set!
