Hmm, I am not sure. Probably:
- A warm, blazing fire filled with burnt embers, cackling and smoking
- Cookies baking
- New book
All got good smells

. But I probably need to think longer on this.

Since I love candles and potpourri so much that is what mine would be, a cross between blueberry pie, peaches and cream and cinammon. I just love those scents, I have like candles in every room in my house and when they are all lit the smell is so captivating! I also love the smell of fresh brewed coffee so that would be in there somewhere also

Hmm, that's a tough one to choose. I might have to think about that...

Let's see... well... Chocolate is a good one, I like that, but I'm not to sure that's what it would be all the time, right now I think mine would be the smell of a Chipotle burrito

. (It's a Mexican restaurant chain that makes
excellent burritos) Haha, well right now that's what I'm craving, tomorrrow it might be different though.

Hmmm...I'd say mine would smell of freshly picked mint leaves because that's when the smell's the strongest, peaches which are my favourite fruit, and the smell of the air just after it's rained and there is a full sun, just when the puddles are evaporating.

Hmm..

I suppose I'd smell the melon scented Febreeze (haha), chocolate, permanent marker, liquid paper, chocolate, coffee... my fiance's cologne, I can't remember which one it is... Axe too lol. Hmm... baby lotion, I love that smell, the smell of rain, that crips scent in the air when it's winter, a clean diaper (if/when you're a parent then you [will] understand exactly what I mean), anything with citrus. Ah, Herbal Essences shampoo too, the fruit fusions are my favourite. The smell of a new book that's yet to be opened. Hot chocolate, strawberries, watermelon, bananas and nail polish. If there's any then oh well. This is a good topic though.

Hi,
I think the smell of Amortentia to me would be a mix between:
- Great Maiden's Blush (that's a huge rose with a great smell!); I smelt it in Villa d'Este, "near" Rome when I was there... as well as:
- Yasmin, which I don't have a reason for, I just like it
- Venkel? It's a bit of a minty smell, it would mix up great with the rest
- Forest after a good rain, but just a bit of it mixed with the rest.
And maybe also the smell of the sea, but I'm very used to that. It's not really that special. I think Amortentia has a special smell, not a usual one, something you're used to.
I like the smell of cut grass, but not overly so. I really like the smell of clean air. We usually go to Saas Fee on holidays - that's in Switzerland - and in that village, no cars are allowed to drive (and you don't need one either! it's not that big). Then you smell the forest and the flowers and everything around you and that's great! I'm not sure how that'd fit in with the above... it doesn't mix that well, I think.

)
and also the smell on the air after it rains and the smell of lavender candles...
oooh... the smell of new books!!!
well i think that's about it.

Your Amortentia is quite similar to mine, and yes, I agree, the smell has to be something special, sacred in a way. Mine would be the smell of clean, fresh, cool air (although there really isn't a scent) as well as the air after a thunderstorm. The smell of Jasmine is beautiful as well and the smell of delicious Italian cooking on cold nights.
Many people have listed the smell of fresh snowy days, I wish I had the oppurtunity to smell fresh fallen snow, that will never happen where I live!
I can however say the smell of warm spring nights, where a soft breeze drifts through your window and you can hear the crickets chirruping outside...
Books or parchment smell lovely as well, and crisp, clean sheets

.

I quite like freshly mown grass too, along with new paper. I like the smell of vanilla scented candles too, and the smell after it rains on a sunny day, when all the steam risies up

Oh, and the smell of a pepperoni pizza cooking!

I like:
-The smell of a new HP book, like when you've just got it from Amazon or Barnes and Noble, or wherever.
-The smell of chocolate cookies being baked
-The smell of that steam that comes out of the dryer (does anyone not like that?)
-The smell of this little pillow with eyes that I've had since I was 6.

For me, it would be...
1. the smell of freshly cut grass, like many other people, it seems!
2. campfire
3. white Royal Lilies (or as my dad puts it, "that stench is unbearable!")
4. cologne
5. dandelions (it's a childhood thing)
There are so many more things I can think of, the more I think...that would be boring everyone to death, tho! :-)

Hm...this is very hard...I am not the kind of person that remembers smells easily but i have some that are my favourite...
So, my amortentia would smell like
fresh coffee (every time my mum buys coffee, i just smell it for hours. I don't know if every kind of coffee smells so nice but the one we call "greek" smells great!), then it would turn to
rose smell (ah...i miss that smell. The ones i buy every once and a while from the flowerist's are very pretty and have amazing colours but they don't have a smell , which is horrible because roses are worth for their shape and their smell) and last but not least, the
smell of sea (the salty one, have you ever smelt that?) and
of summer in general. Yes, i'm a weirdo. I even believe that snow and winter smell.

This is pretty cool. I think mine would be the smell of the boy I like. It's not a cologne, it's just him. It'd also have the smell where you go outside on a really cold day and it just smells cold. There'd also be the smell of brownies cooking in the oven, and my cat because she has a comforting smell about her, haha. That's about it!
