My name is David I'm spanish and i Like very much the webpage of JK but I think that it hasn't a forum for the fans in taht way we would speak and perhaps JK could read our messages and she could talk in her page(it would be fantastic)
Due to this fact I'm asking your help, the empress that has made the page called lightmaker and the e-mail of the 'General information' is : enquiries@lightmaker.com
If we send e-mails with that request maybe they make case to us.
Help me please
SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

I highly, highly doubt it. In fact, I'd say she doesn't, period. If she happens to mention in one of her books something that a fan came up with way before her, they'd start screaming plagiarism and there'd be law suits flying left, right and centre...
Besides, I doubt she has the time with all that writing and reading she does...not to mention having two kids in tow and another one on the way....

My name is David I'm spanish and i Like very much the webpage of JK but it hasn’t a forum for the fans, and it would be fantastic if people of different cultures could speak in her page moreover could read our messages and she could talk in her page(it would be fantastic) )I know that it’s improbable because she is very busy but in other times she has been in forums like mugglenet.com......
Due to this fact I'm asking your help, the company that has made the page is called lightmaker and the e-mail of the 'General information' is : enquiries@lightmaker.com
If we send e-mails with that request maybe they pay attention to us.

I think that's a good idea, but then again.. that's why we have THIS VERY FORUM.. & yes, I think JK is much too busy to respond.. as we all know, she is expecting her 3rd child & currently writing book 6. However, who knows? It could be possible if you keep requesting it.

I think that that is a horrible idea (no offense) because if you were to post a topic it would never get a reply due to the other million fans making new topics for their questions. J.K. Rowling would go crazy tring to post back to her fans.
(P.S I would be one of those million fans

)

I thought that could be a good idea, However when I said a forum in JKRowling I don't say that you have to leave this forum because it's great

I think it would be full of silly posts and people think each other was jk. im sorry but i like forums that are just fans for fans and that would be Over the top with silly people. just look at emmawatson.net forums. half the people just post EMMA IS FIT whats the point in that.

You want to watch the way you express yourself there, mate. What if there are members here who are ALSO emmawatson.net forums members too? How do you think they'd feel? Forums encourage honesty, but I won't have you bagging other people while you're at it.

i think it would be good if there was a forum we KNEW JK Rowling posted on, just to see bits and bobs, we we all know shes busy, but it'd still be nice

Ehhh... I don't know if I really like the idea of forums on JKRowling.com. The reason why I like forums (including Veritaserum, among a few others) in general is because discussion boards expose me to the thoughts and theories of a lot of other fans and often lead to the development of very interesting conversation. I really enjoy interacting with the fan community as a whole, partially because my friends are not very obsessed with Harry Potter and I don't want to drive them
too crazy with my babbling about Hogwarts and partially because if you talk to just a couple people who like Harry Potter in your home town, say, you get a very limited range of theories and perspectives. The trouble is, if I were a member of a forum that I KNEW J.K. Rowling had also joined, I would have a tendency to overlook other fans' opinions because all I would be interested in would be hearing from J.K. Rowling herself. I already have that problem in chat rooms... ever since I read that she went in the Mugglenet chat room once, every time I log into the Veritaserum discussions or whatever I immediately ask people whether they are J.K. Rowling (not that they would say of course!). Sad, but true!

I don't know.... I just think that I would have a tendency to ignore everybody except J.K. Rowling if I knew that I had an opportunity to ask her questions. I don't want to lose the whole community aspect of forums, and if everyone were entirely focused on a single member, a lot of the good discussion would be lost. That's only me though, I suppose...

Yeah, cool idea...i've thought of that one before...but hey, you gotta admit it's impossible for JKRowling to reply to thousands and millions of fans who'd be posting her every day!! and yeah, that definitely would include me!! lol...just couldnt stop yourself, could you, if JKR really did do that?

I think it is a great idea.. it is the one thing missing from JKR.com..

It'd be impossible. Think about it. There are more visitors to her site than there are on any HP site. If Lightmaker created a forum, it'd be over-run, you'd never be able to have a good forum experience with tens of thousands of posts a day.

I agree, i've been on the Half-Life2/Counterstrike forums. With a huge fan base, their forums are regularly over run and difficult to navigate through all the loosely monitored threads..

I agree, I think it would be like it was at HPANA the three days in which we tried to figure out about the question marks. Did you check that out? It was crazy there!! I think it would be impossible to know anybody there.

Nah, I met about 15 people at HPANA at that time, we had MSN conversations instead of posting in the thread!
but yea, I see where your coming from.

Oh, that would be terrible.
I mean, I would like it, but imagine milllions and millions of fans posting every second... POOR MODS! Or JK in that case... If only on this site, things sometimes get hard for mods to control, imagine JKRowling website. That would be a terrible mess, and about JK using fan fics ideas, I know that won't be: that would be plagiarism AND lack of originality, which JK has always had (I mean she does have).
Maybe if in the secret door, it appears a 2-hours-lenght forum....Maybe!
