It's really meant to be a tragedy for all involved. I see so many post-war fan fics that have Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny moving on and being happy, and I don't think that's wholly accurate, given all they've been through
Ordinarily, I must say that I dislike Ginny, but writing this I felt heartbroken for her.

Yes, I do ship H/Hr and I'm - well - not a fan of the H/G pairing, yet writing this helped me to sympathize with the youngest Weasley.I love your R/Hr/D icon

Once again you have excelled yourself! I don't ship either way (and if I remember correctly, you didn't ship H/Hr until you wrote your first fanfic about them?)
but I found myself feeling rather torn.
On one hand, Ginny loves the guy, on the other hand, we all know she's not that lovable herself, yet I really couldn't help but feel for her. Its utter torture to love someone and not have them love you back, and you captured that with a gut wrenching honesty.
Harry's my favourite character in the books, and it tears me to think that he could marry one girl, yet harbour a secret desire for another, even Hermione. If he'd married Hermione I'd be fine with that, but to marry someone you don't love? *sigh* Just asking for disaster.
The style you chose to write in is perfect, surpassed only by your ability to actually stick within the bounds you set yourself ... really wonderful!
I hope this isn't a one-shot. I feel the overwhelming need to see this through...

I'm trying to convince myself to like Ginny too, which is why I wrote this. I don't see Harry/Ginny as a ship with lasting power, and since I've so vehemently disliked Ginny since OotP, I really needed to be able to sympathize with her as a fan fic writer so that I could write anything other than EVIL!Ginny in my fics. I am glad that came across in the torturous way that it did, because that's definitely how I'd feel, if I loved someone so much if he couldn't love me.

Mm...tough question. I think I will continue it once my Year Seven piece is over and done with, but I haven't time to write both at the moment. Anyway, I am so very happy you enjoyed it, and even happier that you took the time to comment, as you always do.
