Hiya, everyone!

Just wanna know...which actor or actress would you really, really, REALLY love to be related to? I have quite a couple.

Question: If you had a long lost famous relative (a celebrity or someone else who'se famous), who would you want to find out it was and why?

Answer(mine): I would absolutely love to find out that I was related to J.K. or someone from the HP cast, but mostly J.K Rowling. I could get the updates on HP books and be the first to read them! Oh and plus, I get to meet the HP cast each time they shoot a new movie. Daniel Radciffe *drifts off into space*

(Now back to earth) That's just me, how bout you guys?

I had to think about it for a bit--who do I admire and respect well enough that I would enjoy being related to them? It would have to be Viggo Mortensen, I think. He played Aragorn on LOTR.

He has really strong convictions and stands up for them. He's a loving dad who really supports his son, Henry. He is fluent in four languages and often does the dubbing of his own parts into those languages, for no extra pay, simply because he feels that his fans who speak other languages deserve his entire performance.

He is also a poet and an artist in addition to being an actor. He's really interested in people and the world. I just think he'd be a really interesting person to know.

I would want to be related to someone on the Harry Potter cast, definitely. Oh! But it can't be Daniel Radcliffe because then I couldn't marry him lol

Oooh, interesting choices guys! I just had another idea...I'd wanna be related to Brenda Song, if anyone knows her, she's on disney channel a lot. She's so cool and seems like a nice person and plus I like watching all the shows she does!

Most of the people I'd like to be related to are dead. . .so they would be no use to me!

Audrey Hepburn-She always held herself with such poise and grace, on and off screen. She came from a background where she was told she wasn't good enough (at least as a dancer), but she perservered to become on of the most brilliant actresses in her generations (the heck with Boggart's opinion). She went through a lot of tragedy in her life (WWII in Holland, Miscarriages, Divorce, etc.), but still managed to stay on top without falling into dependencies on drugs and alcohol. She was such a brilliant, hands-on member of UNICEF. It would just be an honor to be her relative. (Darcy, I thought you'd like that she spoke five languages fluently! Boggles my mind to try speaking one language fluently.) Plus, she had a tulip named after her. I mean, wouldn't it be fun to say "oh, yes. This particular species of Tulip is named after my Aunt Audrey."

I'd also like to be related to Kenneth Brannagh (yay! He's not dead!) If you don't already know, I'm completely fascinated by him . . .slight obsession. I'd love to be able to sit and have a coffee with him, just to hear his brilliance. His interpretation of Shakespeare is just so beautiful (pay no attention to that man behind "Love's Labour's Lost"). It would be awesome to pick his brain about anything and everything! (I'd choose to be related to him rather than married to him because if he can't make it with Emma Thompson. . .well, I'm just no match for her! Plus, you can't discard your relatives quite in the same manner. He'd be stuck with me as that obnoxious cousin who always wants tea.)

I want to be related to Dan and Emma. I'd want to try being their daughter...

Like I said before, interesting choices! I'd wanna be related to Emma also, Thegirlwholived! She's pretty cool.

I know I am distantly related to the first wife of the first man to climb Mt. Everest. It is so distant that I'll never meet them in a family reunion.

I would love to be related to Princess Mary of Denmark of JKRowling and live in either of their countries.

Being related to Queen Elizabeth wouldn't be to bad because Harry and William are both about 9 or more years older than me. I would work but...

i would want to be related to Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. he is such an amazin singer and a great guitarist and has a wonderful-all-around personality. i would want to be his sister, haha then maybe some of his amazing-ness (that's probably not a word, hehe) will rub off on me. i wouldn't want to be related to Pete Wentz, because he is too cute and i woudn't want to be like a little sister, a friend maybe. and plus if i was related to Patrick, me and the rest of the band members could be good friends! oh that would be so rockin!

Honestly, I don't know if I want to be related to anyone famous. I would hardly get to see them because they might be busy touring, making films, or writing books, stuff like that, and I'd feel as though they would forget me because they'd have too many fans...
But I do have a few choices that I like.

-I would be awesome to be related to J.K. Rowling, but I might get friends for the wrong reason, and I wouldn't want her to tell me anything that's going to happen later (wait..what am I saying? )

-Someone mentioned Nicole Kidman, and that got me thinking about being related to Keith Urban, and that would be awesome since he's one of my favorite singers and a really calm guy.

-Kate Winslet is another of my favorites, and I would love to talk to her about how she started her career, and how she got the courage to actually get her role on Sense and Sensibility (there's a funny story for that), and her experience on Titanic.

-Another brilliant actor who's name is Shah Rukh Khan; he's from India. He's so hilarious, and plays his parts very well, I would have loved to have inherited some acting experience from him.

What famous person would I like to be related to? That is an extremely good question. I think...either Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls or Amy Lee of Evanescence. And heres why. Amanda because maybe some of her genes would be passed on to me. Hopefully her singing skills, or piano, but either would do. No, seriously I've seen and read interviews with her and she's just such a creative person, and being able to talk to her like family would be very cool.

Amy Lee would actually be my best friend..so probably my sister. We have a lot in common already, and talking with her about anything would be a lot of fun just because she seems like she would be really nice and she cares a lot about her family.

So my choices may be lame, but they are choices nonetheless

I would love to be related to Alan Rickman. (in case that's not to obvious. ) Other than him, I too love John Travolta and I think it would be a blast to be related to him, along with Robin Williams, Orlando Bloom, Hugh Grant, Bam Margera, and a bunch more people. I just would love to be that close to someone who's famous because you're seeing them behind the scenes, for who they really are.

The first person that comes to mind, is Woody Allen. This guy is a figure to me; he has a brilliant mind, he is tremendously clever and he is a great script-writer. If i was related to him, i would have the chance to get some of his intelligence and also, he would help me get to know the big screen world better and be able to give it a try, not as an actor but mostly like a behind-the-scenes persona. Hm...who knows, maybe i will get the chance to meet him...

I would love to be related to J.K. Rowling. Even if I was related to her I don't think she would give me any inside information on deathly hallows or any other new harry potter info. but it would be wonderful to get the chance to speak to her about the books.

Going by actual famous people though I have a few... I loved Heath Ledger but it would be even more depressing to be a relative of his now that he's dead... if he wasn't I would pick him.
