I saw the first movie sometime after it came out on video. I decided to read the books and had all of them (there were four at the time) read soon after. I like both the books and movies, but the books are FAR better in my opinion.
Dumbledore'sArmyMan
my nan gave me the first book and told me to read it,and i didnt like it and skipped pages, but when the movie came out,i read the first one(no skipping pages this time)and continued to get all the other books

Im an oldbie YAY! When Harry Potter first hit shelves, I picked it up at my Library in Middle School and started reading it. Ever since I was addicted! Take into mind that was a long 7 years ago or so blink.gif I have had to await the release of every movie and every book! I get so Harry Potter Maniac before they release it isn't funny! laugh.gif wacko.gif Heh... How can someone not love Harry Potter?! wink.gif When I started reading I couldnt stop, I still can't... I have read the series through three times and I have read the 4th and 5th books over and over and over again unsure.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

I love it so much, I got my family into reading it, and now my brother, my sister, AND my stepfather all await the release of the 5th movie and the 7th book...

I got them addicted!

3 down, another whatever million to go!
HarryGinnyJamesLily
Well, I was in year four, and I was a person who said "Why would you read? Reading is boring!" but then, my brother is like "Phoebe, you should read the Harry Potter series, it's the type of book you would love." So, obeying my brother, though rather grudgingly, I read the first book. I found it ok, and read the second. This was ok again, so I read the third. This made me fall in love with it. So, ever since then, I have read all the Harry Potter books around about three times each - I was hooked! I just love Harry Potter.

Also, I always get all excited about Harry Potter whenever I hear it. So, I always encourage people to read it, telling the truth about how much of a good read it is. I got one of my best friends, and my brother's ex-girlfriend to read the series - they both loved it!

I started reading Harry Potter when I was in the 8th grade (about 6+ years ago) and since then have kept up with it closely.

I do have to say I was very unpleased with the ending of the Prisoner of Azkaban. I liked the book ending better.
Sara_Bellatrix_Lestrange
The first book had been released when I was eleven, but I didn't bother reading it until about six months after Prizoner of Azkaban was released. When I heard the synopsis in the Scholastic catalogue, I kept thinking that it was extremely lame and pointless. "Who wants to read some story about some stupid orphan that can do magic?" I would ask my friends when they encouraged me to read the first book at the very least. Somehow my friends got a hold of my high school's library card and somehow managed to borrow all three of the current books for me. Seeing as the school library card has a picture of the student both on the card and on the computer itself, I wonder how she managed to pull this off to this day. However she came to the cafeteria with my student card and the books and told me I only had three weeks to read them all. The next night I had miraculously finished my science and English homework in record time, so I started to read the Philosopher's Stone because I had promised her I'd read at least the first two chapters in each book. One chapter turned to three hours straight reading. I had read the first three books in only six days. I then left a thank you note inside her locker haha.
Moon(I luv you Luna)
I loved Harry Potter before the forth book came out. I got the first three for christmas, and they were just becoming well known in England and America and my Grandma had said "These are pretty poopluar over here, see if you like them"

So i read them and i liked them.

I couldn't wait for GoF to come out.

I begged my dad to take me down to the warehouse to get OotP

I was waiting in line for an hour to get HBP.

Yeah ... so it was about 1999. let's see ... carry the one ... 6 years ago i think! happy.gif

Actually I saw the three movies, then I got fed up,I walked to my father asking for at least one book.He said no since I had seen the movies. After a few months,he saw my miserable condition thriving for the book and then he told me that I am supposed to pay from my money to buy the books.I got delighted and started working in whatever places whatever jobs only for Harry Potter. At last I got the first book!!I was so delighted.Since then I am working, paying only for Harry Potter books!. biggrin.gif
chhermione
I saw the first movie when I was seven and then my parents bought my sister and I the box set of the first four books. Then when the fifth book came out my dad queued up at midnight to get us the book. And for the sixth book, my uncle/godfather, my sister and I queued up to get it. And I've been intrigued ever since!
~Dobby's.sock~
I feel sort of ashamed that I didn't become interested long before I actually did become interested! wink.gif However of course I couldn't be happier that I did finally begin reading the magical, amazing, incredible series that is Harry Potter!
My dad read the Philosopher's Stone to my brother and I when the series was first released, pronouncing Hermione 'Hermyown'! I enjoyed the first and read on until the part within CoS within which Mrs. Norris is petrified! I was a silly nong and was quite spooked by this occurence and decided to read Enid Blyton instead!
By the end of 2005 I had watched every film including the fourth and enjoyed them all. After the fourth which I happened to enjoy particularly as I had not indulged in the novels, I decided that I would read the fourth novel. So I borrowed the Goblet of Fire from my friend who was more than happy to interest me in the novels and after the first few chapters I was proclaiming my love of GoF to my parents and my two harry potter loving friends who had been encouraging me for years to read them saying that I would love them! I don't know why I didn't take their advice and begin reading sooner! I asked for the box set for Christmas and have been working on them ever since. I made a pact that I would never not be in the middle of the series and as I am a slow reader, I am only now reading the series for a second time. In an unusual order may I add! I read GoF then PoA then OotP then HBP then PS and then CoS happy.gif . However I do love them all! I am currently encouraging my brother to read the series, does anyone have any tips for encouraging stubborn fourteen year olds to read the series tongue.gif ?
Enough rambling now happy.gif .

I became obsessed when i read book #2 in the third grade, i couldn't stop! Then i became addicted after the first movie =) My mom pushed me to read the books so i finally just gave in and loved it, now i think my mom regrets it.

Sorry mine isn't long, it isn't a long story. tongue.gif

Ever since the books came out I've loved them! It's quite sweet actually because the first book came out in 1997 and I was only three. My Mum used to read them to me before I went to bed so I had the luxury of dreaming about Potter...every night...... wub.gif I absolutely ADORED them!
I'm 13 and nothing changed apart from the fact that I read the books to MYSELF and not my Mum!

Charactors:
ME- Amy
Mum
Sister-Ellie
Dad

"I want to start reading to Amy" Said Mum, one fateful day. "To...enrich her...you know!"
And so MUM went down to the Mall and searched the bookshelves. A poster caught her eye reading: Harry Potter and the Philosepher's Stone by J K Rowling. A new novel at only Ģ6.99! And so she bought it....

(Later that week)
"Ok, Amy!" Cooed Mum "I have a new book for you!"

"Oooooooh!" Said Amy, obviously intreged by this astonishing announcement.

"It's about a wizard called Harry Potter and it goes like this......"

And so the journey began...
10 years later...
"Amy, I'm taking you to the doctors!" Announced Mum

"Why?!" Asked Amy, agast.

"Because you've gone coo-coo!" Joked Ellie

"Don't talk to your sister like that!" Boomed Dad

"Well, in this case, Ellie happens to be right! Amy is officialy obsessed with Harry Potter!" Mum said.

The whole family looked over to Amy who was wearing a Harry Potter scarf, Harry Potter hat, had Harry Potter badges pinned all over her top and happened to be reading Harry Potter and watching the fourth movie for the one hundredth time.

Speaks for itself really biggrin.gif wub.gif

Excellent topic! I first got into Harry Potter when I saw the commercial for the "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" movie. Honestly. I saw it, and well, if truth be told, Emma Watson caught my eye and I thought, to summarise it, "she fine!". So I googled for Harry Potter, saw the movie advertised, then I bought the DVD a little later, in part because I wanted to see more of this Emma person. I watch the film, and thought it was great.

I then bought the HP and the Goblet of Fire book and was hooked, I bought the next two books soon after than and have read them now. So I guess you could say Emma Watson got me into Harry Potter lol, but the series is definetly what keeps me hooked now, the books are great.

I learned about Harry in 2000 when I was 7.

Me and my best friend at the time had joined an American Girl book club at Barnes and Noble and we were there ealry for the first meeting, so we started looking at all the American Girl books and my friend pointed over at the Harry Potter books and asked if I had read any and I said no and asked what they were about.

" It's about these kids that get on a train and go all around the world and fight mirrors and stuff, they are really good you'll like them." was the answer I got dry.gif . I wasn't sure I would like them but asked my mom if I could anyway because my friend knew what I liked and seemed sure I would like this series. I moved to a new school right after that so I didn't get to see my friend until the next meeting and by then I was almost half-way through the first book and I had learned that the "summary" my friend had given me wasn't even close. When I asked her if she had finished the first book she told me that she hadn't read any of it she had just heard from another friend of hers that they were good and asked if I thought she would like them and I told her they were awesome and she would love them.

I moved back to my old school in time for third grade and I've been at that school ever since. My friend read the first book and liked it but lost interest in the middle of the second. I have been hooked since i read the first page in SS. I am now 13 and in 8th grade and I am the only person in my grade that still cares for Harry Potter. I have read each book 8 or 9 times now and they never get old. My friends said that if they heard any thing to with Harry or magic or anything related to those topics they would go insane and that I needed to find someone else to disscuss Harry Potter with besides them so I joined here yesterday. magic.gif

My brother first discovered it when the first one came out and his teacher read it to his class, and from then on all my brothers read it. I was too young to read it when it first came out, but in December 2005, i got really bored and decided to steal them out of my brother and sisters room (My sister had some of them my brothers had all the rest). I finished the firs one by nightfall, and continued to read them. I stopped reading them around summertime, i was too busy. But then as november and december came around again I picked them back up....I'm on my 8th time reading the fifth book....smile.gif

i didn't start reading harry potter until the 4th movie was coming out! i had seen the 1rst 3 movies and didn't know how many books there was. i started borrowing copies from friends and the library to catch up. when i got to the 4th book i thought i would cry! i had a week to read it before we were going to go and see the movie! i read 100 pages a night. when we were getting tickets for gof a group of adults (when i say adults i mean all of them were older than me) came out talking about how much of the book was not in the movie! i wanted to ask them about it but my nephew told me not to embarrass him and we went in to see the show. i have read all the books since then and my nephew's family went in and got me my own set for christmas! now we are all waiting for ootp movie to come. my nephew has vowed not to sit next to me in the theater so that i don't talk to him about what was in the book and not the movie!

Yeah, this is a really fun topicc!

Well, I started reading the first book because my sister had read all,
and I wanted to, but I kept on getting distracted...
When the first film came out I started again. Afterwards I didn't
read HP's for a while, then the third movie came out, so I read
that book and it really drew me into the series so I read the
fourth, fifth, and now the sixth. (Can't wait until the 7th!)
And then I came back to the second!

I got interested when my friend told me she was obsessed with HP, so I thought if she likes it hat much, maybe I should give it a try. And about the time the third movie came out...i became obsessed. And I am REALLY REALLY OBSESSED! (and i'm sorry if im scaring you)
maggie_66
Well, i got started when they assaing it to me in school (yeah! can you believe it? in SCHOOL, it was where im from and it was a catholic school! Weird?) Anyways, i didnt read it then, cause i didnt like to read. My mom read the book one after another and it drove me crazy so i was like 'it cant be that bad? can it?" so thats when i started reading. And then the movie! it was great! But i became REALLY addicted when the 6th book was out. Since then i cant stop talking about HP or checking pictures or anything else.

PS: Great topic

Nice Topic biggrin.gif

I was Either 6 Or 7 And I Saw The First Movie ( Yes, I'll Admit I Saw The Movie First )

Then I Told Myself That I Wouldnt Read The Books Till I Had Seen The Second Movie

But As I Said In Another Topic, I Couldnt Wait That Long, So I Read The 2nd Book Then The Third The It Went On As I Got Older, And I Just Saw The Movies As The Came.

Now Im Obsessed, My Friends Think I Should ''Grow Out Of It'' Because Its So Lame And Childish, I Was So Furious mad.gif

But Obsessions Grow On

Im Australian And Somehow I Developed A English Accent, I Think I Watch The Movies Too Much wacko.gif

I remeber the time so well. It was June 2004. I was 14 years old then and at my cousin's in New York. We were all bored and sitting idly. My cousin wanted us to see SS movie. He told me a little background about the movie and i got interested. We watched the movie twice and wanted to watch more but my mum got angry.
After i started my new term the same year, i was intersted still in the movies, but you can't be a big HP fan, a crazy one, until you read the books. I finally borrowed CoS bk from my library and read it. I WAS STUNNED!!!!! And believe me, my sister didn't yell Stupefy!!!
cool.gif After that i read all the books more than twice and keep reading them until now, i'm one of the biggest fans with the dream of seeing Jo or meeting a cast. biggrin.gif
UnknownLocket
Well, I saw my brother reading it, I was nine and very curious. He said that it was really good and that I should read them. I tried, but like I said, I was nine and though I was very curious the books bored the heck outta me. But then a year later, 6th grade, when I was ten, we were reading it in class together so I had no choice. I thought it was really good then and they later took us on a field trip to watch the first movie. And it was awesome!! Now, I know my story's really boring, so I'm going to wrap it up. After I read all 4 books, (that's all there was at that time) I just became obsessed and read them over and over. Soon, I bought all the books and movies, well actually my parents did. Then my sister started getting into it, and now we all love it but I'm the most obsessed out of the three of us.

THE END.
ChOco
hey, cool topic, to whoever started this
well, i know this sounds weird, but i used to hate harry potter 3 years ago, i always used to think it was all about violence & killings. But then all my freinds were gossiping about the harry potter movies, so i kinda felt ignored, so i started reading the books, and to my suprise, i actually liked them! Aniwayz, then i started watching the movies and now i am like offically obsessed with harry potter!!!
arya_bjerke
Mom bought me Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for my birthday wayyyy back when I was in elementary school. I think it had just hit bookstores. It didn't have publicity yet. I remember asking Mom why she got it for me, I mean honestly, there's an guy with ugly glasses and funny clothes on the front who looks like he's about to be hit by a train, what kind of story is that..haha. She told me that she'd asked a bookstore salesperson which books were "supposed to be good" and that that salesperson had heard a few good reviews on it.. Out of the five books I got for my birthday that year, I recall not bothering to read it until I'd finished all the others, which probably had nicer cover art, haha.
I guess it's kinda cool because I found out everything for myself. I was totally shocked when Hagrid told Harry he was a wizard! If I would have read the book much later, I would have heard the controversy about it on the news. Naturally, I got hooked right away on the series... And I can proudly say, I've been a HP fan from the beginning. happy.gif

Hi, didn't start to read any til the 5th book was out. I actually bought them all on the same day...that cost me a bit lol... anyway, I love the books can't wait for number 7. I think I've read them all at least 5 times maybe more? Hope that doen't make me too weird...oh well doesn't matter anyway....

I had watched the first 3 movies but i didn't really follow the plot very well. my parents had told me that the books were really dark (even though they hadn't read them) so i didnt really want to read them. Then one summer we were going on a week long trip from where we live in Cali to west virginia and i wanted something to read on the plane. We bought the first 2 books before we left. I started reading as soon as we tok off, and i couldnt stop reading. Within the first day of being on our trip, i finished the first 2 boks and had bought the 3rd and was almost done with it.
The 3rd day in West Virginia we bought 4 and 5. I finished the 4th one on our last day there and then i finised the 5th one on the day after we got home. The rest of that summer i reread the books about 7 times, including the new HBP and saw all of the movies and actually could follow the plot. Now, im pretty much obsessed and i cant stop rereading the books...lol. and i even got my practical great- grandma into them.

Let me tell the whole story:

So, me and my dad are the only book readers in the family. Ever since I was little I was totally interested in fairies, magic, and witches. My room was a fantasy paradise. There were paintings of witches and fairies and it was like a dream room for me. My dad saw an article for this book called "Harry Potter" in the newspaper, so we decided to go at midnight to get it (probably at my Dad's natural instincts to know that it would probably become one of the most famous books). We went at about 10 p.m. to get it, and there was no line. So, we sat there and waited and there was probably about 30 other people. (This was at Barnes and Noble too!) I was amazed no one could be interested in such a fantasy consuming book! I got the book, and the book on tape. I stayed up till 4 in the morning reading the book, and I finished it. I soon became completely obsessed with Harry Potter and I used to pretend I could do spells with a pencil like ALOHAMORA! and PETRIFICUS TOTALUS! I owned the boardgames, postcards, and fake wands, I even had a Gryffindor scarf. I was totally obsessed and I still am in love with it. HAHA.

what a loser i am! =]
PhoenixTatoo1
A lot of my family are against the HP series "devil stuff"... but I digress-- I read them nanyway. These are also the same family that watched LOTR and Narnia.. I just simply don't see the difference. Anyway.. I have quite the obsession with the books, too. And the movies. I am seem to be older than a lot of the readers of HP, but I don't think it makes a difference. There are a lot of adults who read the books. There is a lady I work with-- shes 45 and she absolutely loves the books. Which makes my 30 seem not so bad. It just goes to show what a great writer JKR is. I am so ready for Movie 5 and Book 7.

Terrific thread!

I was listening to NPR one day several years ago and they had a piece on about Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone and how this book had literally taken off from playgrounds around the world and how kids just couldn't get enough of it. I love a good read - and adore great "children's" literature, so I bought the first book.

I was hooked by the end of the chapter one and bought and read every subsequent book as soon as it was published. I bought and read the UK versions even though I live in the States. As the books got more intricate and complex, I started re-reading them. I couldn't tell you how many times I've read them all, but it's a lot.

Initially, when I heard they were making movies of the books, I was totally bummed out. I was enchanted with the world Rowling had created and a real piece of me wanted to keep that world forever in the imaginations of myself and others. I got over that pretty quickly. I've seen every movie on opening night and I own all four of them and have watched them many times.

The movies don't hold a candle to the books, but they're still a lot of fun!

Next week I am going to start reading the first book to my 4 and 6 year-old sons, who are finally interested in chapter books!
mrs_v_padfoot
i can't actually remember when i got into the books, all i remember is my dad reading the PS to me. and i must have been about 9 or10 at the time. but as soon as i finished the first one, reading it by my self i had the second two within a week but i didnt read them for quite a while until i was at least 11. but i saw the PS movie and little by little became obsessed. i finally finshed PoA in time for the GoF and what ever movie came out that year,(my memeory has gone blank) buti dont know how many times i have read the books or seen the films.

Fantastic thread!!!

Well actually my mom bought my sister the second book i believe when i was in third or fourth grade and we both loved it so she got us the first(she hadnt known it was a series) AFter that I became a full blown HP fanatic. I have gone to the midnight opening of the last three books and the last two movies. I have read each of the cooks at least seven times but HBP only four or five. My friend is also a huge HP fan so now I am even more into cause I have some one to talk to about it.

ANd well my mom thinks she started this worlwide phenomenom(sp?) cause she got us the books before they were famous.
Sure mom...

oh man well i have to say that i hated harry potter with all my might! i really did! it wasn't until i had no other books to read that i actually pick a hp book up and i've loved it ever since! it's been like what 4 years or 3 something like that since i started liking it! i use to mock my friends for liking it now my friends mack me for likeing everything that has to do with hp!

Wow..great topic. I didn't get started in the Harry Potter mania until summer 2005...so i am still a newbie. I had watched the movies of course, and like them even. But I finally became an addict when my husband, who is in the US Navy, got deployed for the first time. I bought book 5 and read it through, in about a week, after that I was hooked. I bought the first 4 and read them, and then the 4th movie came out and i began to note the differences in book/movie. Then I read the 6th book..and THEN i found this amazing site and got even further into pottermania....hahahaha......and now I can't get unhooked!
lp_supastar
It took me a while to become the hp addict that i am...i only wish i discovered it sooner!
I first began PS in year four (2000) when my teacher used to read it to us for afternoon reading time. We would sit around her for an hour and a half while she read it to us. Halfway through the book, i was desperate to find out what would happen, so i bought my own copy and finished it in a month. I loved PS to death...
I bought CoS the next year (i think) and that took me a lot longer to get into. Ashamed to say, i sort of stopped by the fourth chapter and then started again a little while later. But then, i fell in love with the books and became maaaajorly obsessed...i think iv read the books at least five times each!
EliasOsiris
And I thought I was the only one who first learned about Harry Potter on NPR radio! Thanks a lot CornishPixie, you're not the only one who was introduced that way.

There was a very interesting program on National Public Radio one morning about Harry Potter and his newest adventures in the Sorcerer's Stone. The thing I remember most clearly about that program was the person being interviewed commented that they had to promise their kids that they would only read the HP book together, no sitting up at night and reading ahead. I was intrigued so I purchased the book with the idea that I would read it to my son and daughter. I didn't even look at the book again until the end of the week when being stuck in the train station prompted me to read a few chapters. By the time I got home, I had finished half the book. Needless to say, I finished the book before I read it to either one of my kids.

this is a sweet topic
i became intrested in HP after i started reading the first book in 1st grade, now i own the first 6 books and the first 4 movies, and can not wait till the 7th book or the 5th movie
my mom brought the 1st book home as a challenge for me too read and i became addicted to harry potter wub.gif
then when i moved and my new bff liked hp too i loved the series even more because i could talk to someone about it and predict what was going to happen in the next book
i just wish i had found this site earlier it is better than most of the other hp sites smile.gif

The Magical Muggle
Well, my sister had the first book in her room for along time, and I read it once when I was around 8 and found it really boring. Then after a couple years I read it again and my perspective on it changed completely. I became a Harry Potter fanatic, reading all of them over and over, but then I got to high school and didn't read them anymore because nobody else did. Well, I've recently resumed reading them again cause I couldn't keep myself away...
haNNaliini
I was on the 8th grade (about seven or eight years ago) I when I got the first book into my hands.. I read it in one night. Next day I had to go to the library to explore the other parts.. I cannot remember how many of them were published then but.. It just hit me after opening the first book. I couldnīt get out of Harry Potterīs magical world.

my 2nd grade teacher read it to the class wub.gif

The way I got hooked on harry potter was my sister bought the 1st movie like when i was in 3rd grade(now i'm in 8th grade) and i really liked the movie. So after that i got the book and started to read the 1st one. At first i did't find it vary interesting, i was only 9 years old. but i desicded to read the second book and now i am completly obsessed with harry potter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Potterfan7
The way I got hooked on to the Harry Potter world was through my sister as well. She had the first book laying around the house for ever and I never paid attention to it then in 2000 when the first movie came out I took her out to watch it and although I liked it I still wasnt hooked. After I watched the first movie I became interested in reading what the actual details of the book were so I ventured into it. After I finished the book I found myself wanting to know what came next so I went to the library the next day and read the second book and after that I read the series like I dont know how many times and I watch the movies like everyoher day!! tongue.gif tongue.gif
**pigwidgeon**
I first became intersted in HP when the first movie came out, which is ironic, because now a LOVE the books, but HATE the movies...
Miss_Dobby
I was young.. aged 8/9... didn't like books at all... Wasn't any good at English, since I just came out of an Afrikaans school... So we were browsing in the bookshop, and my dad came to me saying, "Just choose a book. Look, what about this: Harry Potter." And I'm like "Uh, do I have to?" and he's like, "Yeah, come on." And I'm like all sulky that I have to now read it. So we bought the first book. And we sat in a restaurant later and I was bored so I started reading. I swear, I read the very first line : "Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were very proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much." And I laughed! Immediately I was intrigued! Though it did take me quite long to finish it, I enjoyed it thoroughly! I was all facinated with the way magic worked... And I remember gazing at the back cover of Albus Dumbledore like every time I picked up the book, trying to picture him in real life! And then I started drawing the characters after I saw the first movie! We were on holiday, and while in the car I re-read the book.. and drew some more. hehe

So obviously ever since I have been infatuated with HP.... Watching the movies like every weekend.. My parents would say ok, thats enough now!! But I wouldn't stop. And then I began collecting pictures/posters and sticking them up inside my closet doors. My mind was just filled with the fantasies of Harry Potter. And I'd wait for the movie, and then for the book, wait for the next movie, then for the next book, with bated breath! lol

And I'll be quite sad when the series comes to an end... There will be nothing else to look forward to.. (Well except Narnia, of course!) Only the last of the books movies will remain. But! They will never disappear off the shelf! They will always be treasured, forever! happy.gif

I just want to thank J.K Rowling for unleashing an enchanted world never-seen-before! I love you! laugh.gif wub.gif A life without HP -- I just can't imagine.

Oh my gosh! i was so intrigued after the first line as well! That must be one of the funniest statements i have ever read in a book....what a way to catch someones attention. It definitely caught mine! Thats what made me want to buy it when my teacher read it...it seemed very humourous to me - and it is at times!

before, i have no interest watching a movie but when i tried to watched harry potter i get an interest...the magic, the effects and the movie was really great. even my friends was so amazed for the movie! many of us are really like it and there's a stuff that we always talk about
the movie. now, i budget my money carefully, just to buy a harry potter book. i have no harry potter books yet! but i always assure that i watched the movie and updated for what happen to them...

hmm ... I've seen the first 3 movies but then I tought they were just nice, when I saw the fourth movie I became more interesting in the story so I borrowed the books of a friend. I've read all 6 books in just 2 weeks time. They were so nice and the way of writing really caught me. Well done J.K.!!:D I think i will read the books again, I like the ambiance of the books, it gave me a nice feeling. I want to Hogwarts too!!

I was allready fan of VTM because of the Cartoon Contest, but since I'm an official fan I can't wait to see the other movies and of course book 7!! Now I'm also more active at the Forums. smile.gif I like the world of Magic and Fantasy!

Oh boy...I must have started reading HP in about third or fourth grade, so that would be seven or eight years ago. I read the CoS, PoA, and GoF right when they came out, but I didn't read OOTP, or HBP until last August. It took me less than a week to read OOTP in less than one week, and HBP in about three days; I would have finished them sooner if I didn't have football camp/two-a-day practices. After I got done reading those I was searching on Google for information on the DH (at the time just book 7), and I found this site. I'm glad did.

I got interested in the Books when my 3rd grade teacher started reading them to us. I had just moved there and she was in the middle of COS and I was imediately hooked!!! After I moved from there I read the first through the 4th for myself and then I got OOTP when it first came out. But it took me a while to read HBP because I had lost interest (I don't know why!!) and I didn't get the 6th book until this school year started because over the summer I was busy with Cheerleading camp and getting ready for football season!!!
