I want to know all you peeps' favourite instruments to play or learn how to play. I take piano lessons right now but I love electric guitars!

I used to play piano when I was 9, but I sorta quit when I was, either 10 or 11. I'm really into guitar that I need to learn how to play one. Someday I can play a Gibson SG, just like AC/DC's Angus Young.

Since I have played the piano for almost 8 years now, I would have to say that it's my favorite. It can imitate many different styles and sounds and you can play any style easily on it.

I also love the clairinet. I used to play it in 6th grade, and I love the beautiful rich sound that emits from it.

My dad is a total guitar buff, and he is really good, so I learned to apreciate the guitar too.

I voted for guitar. I have an acoustic guitar, but I'm not really all that good at it. This reminds me I must practice more if I ever want to get better, which I do!

yay i like this thread. i love the electric bass guitar it is amazing and i love it. and then the regular electric guitar is great to i love this. then the drums may look easy to play but they are not i tried playing them over my friends eric's house and it is rather hard. and then the acoustic guitar is awesome to with the noises it makes it is great

Guitar, guitar, guitar! Electric, accoustic, bass, whatever I don't care I love guitar! You can't seperate me and my stratocaster! Man I love it's rich sound! I also play piano! It rocks as well. I love how it can imit so many different sounds.

Though I play the violin, I like accoustic guitar the best. I was actually teaching myself to play it at one point, but I haven't worked on that for a while..

I've played the piano since i was 8 and i'm still taking lessons! i also play the cello and the tuba and the guitar, but the cello is my favorite!

Can play a bit of piano, and i used to play the flute.

Guitar for me though, guys and guitars is one hell of a combo

Despite the fact that I played a piano since I was little, I have to say guitar. I like the sound better and it's portable You can take your guitar with you if you like, whereas a piano.. well, you get the picture =) And it also reminds me of Russia (can't explain it better.. and won't try, because you probably won't understand what I mean anyway =).

I've played the giutar for 6 years: since i was 11. When I started playing it, it didn't like to me a lot. But then, lesson after lesson, I found out that... I loved it!! And so, I continued to play it, and I won some prizes in national competitions... Yes, I really love this instrument also because, as bluezz said, it's portable: I can take it where I want and sing with my friends!

While I own a piano, Sax, Violin, and a strat with all the peds, my main focus is Vocal manipulation(throat)/singing.

I own a shure sm58 mic, plugged into a vox preamp and boss stopmer (odd, I know but love the effects)

I also have a SHure Green Bullet Harmonica Mic, which plugs into a death Metal BBE pedal and a kustom cab, for supreme vocal distortion, whispers, and Throat.

I love the piano as it is a really awesome instrument and I only know how to play a few songs on it,but I would like to learn how to play it as I think it can be very useful wherever you go and learning a new song is quite fun...

I also think the drums are really cool but if only I had the rhythm to be able to play them...They look easy to play but are really hard!

i voted for piano. i used to be in love with the drums; they fascinate me, and anybody who plays them just boggle my mind. i chose piano though because i'm sort of learning how to play. the reason i wanted to start to play was because of amanda palmer. she's a really good pianist. [admiration.]

I don't actually like play anything because I've never had the opportunety to take lessons, not that I haven't wanted to. But my favorite instrument is the drums one hundred percent. I just love how loud they can get and the beats you can make using only them, its really cool.

I have been playing the trumpet for 4 years now, and I love it!! It's so cool how so many different notes come out of a tude with just three buttons on it! It's like... some kind of mystery

I play the cello, I have since fifth grade (I am in 11th now), and I love it! I do prefer singing over playing, but I only sing when I am alone. Gosh, I was kind of surprised to see that someone other then me plays! Coolness! I have always wanted to play the drums too, but I don't have the rhythm!

I am a big fan of classic rock, so I voted the guitar. I just love the way they can take control over a song, and set the mood like in the beginning of Back In Black by AC/DC.

I love music!!!! I voted for the drums they are my favourite instrument by far i also like to play the guitar but i am well better at playing the drums!!

I am taking a class next year that teaches me how to play guitar, and I love to sing. I don't know if I'm any good, but I like it anyway!!

i enjoy all instruments i mean i know how to play guitar, bass, drums, piano and a bit of violin but the instrument i really love playing the piano (you can notice that by my avatar Andrew McMahon is the man) it's a very beautiful instrument.

Hmm well i play the flute, so i voted that.
but i love the saxaphone, it's perfect for playing jazz music - which i love!

I love the piano and the drums. I just love to create a melody with my electric keyboard and play some of those old classic's of Mozart and Beethoven. Drums are just cool and I have like them since I was like 8. I used to beat around anything that I could find until my folks got me a drum set.

My favorite musical instrument is the drums, i've played them for about a year and a half now. I used to play keyboard, and i've always been fascinated with guitar.
What can i say i love music!

Well, I voted Clarinet, and I was the only one! Oh well.... Lol. I've been playing it for about two years. I love how it can go into a really high octave, and then into a really low octave. But I also has the medium range. Even though I do love singing, the Clarinet is my favorite instrument.

In school I played two different instuments, the clarinet for 1 year, and the cello for 2 years. I really loved playing the cello because it had such a low sound, but I got tired of always playing in the background and never the real part of the music, which is why I quit. I regret it to this day, and when I listen to a song, I can always point out whenever a cello is playing.

Piano!!!! I love love love the piano. I started taking lessons when I was 6 but I had to stop when I was 10 because my family moved. I'd love to continue with my lessons but since we're pretty short on $$ that little project is on hold. I'm a huge fan of Regina Spektor, anyway, she's so good that I'm pretty intimidated and stuff but I think if I really stuck to it I could learn to play a few of her songs!!!

I used to play the violin....i was quite good at it actually and i loved it!, but i gave it up so i could act...it's my dream.

I can play the violin and the clarinet, but I like playing the clarinet! I dont know why, I just think I find it more enjoyable, it's fun to play, for me at least! I have played it for three years, and will be playing it, hopefully, for many years to come! I played it while being in band in middle school, now that I'm going in to High School, I think I might still continue with it in the high school's band! I'm not sure though. Anyways, I also know how to play the drums, but I like them better to play when I'm mad, it's a good instrument to vent out your anger with!

I can't choose just one but I have a lot to say about a lot of them. I like the piano because I play it and it's a great release for me. I absolutely love it to death. It's my favourite. But then there's the guitar which I don't play ... but my boyfriend does and it makes me love it! The sitar sounds cool too...yeah I'm a hippy. haha. I play the clarinet too but I don't really enjoy it.... I love drums .. I could watch them all day! They sound soo cool! And so does the bass. I love all instruments! Music rocks, man!

This is going to make me sound like an idiot! I don't have a 100% favourite, but one of my favourites is a Ukelele! I learned how to play one when I was 11. Now I'm 14 and still playing!

I've had some pretty scaring experiences with musical instruments..in priamry school I had this reeeaaally evil music teacher who scared me into playing the cello..considering i was probably little over 4foot tall at the time i think she was trying to crush me!
now however I've discovered a new found love for the guitar! Im learning it this summer..not only is it really cool, but my really cute friend is teaching me...
also, i think it would be pretty darn fun to learn the banjo lol

Well... I used to play the Violin, but I gave it up cause I was terrible at it!

Now I play the piano, but I'm not very good at it either! I'm determined not to give up with it though!

I used to play flute, but I got bored on it.

I really like to listen classic music, like Mozart and Beethoven.
My favorite instruments are harp, violin and piano.


But I am not good enough to really play them.

At school and home i guess i play the clarinet, and it is ok but i really love the sound of the trumpet. I don't play it though because i never thought that i could put my lips the way you have to to play the instrument.

Well I play three types of saxophone with gusto, though with no particular skill. I love it though. I have visions of me on other instruments though... To play jazz piano would be awsome, acoustic guitar, and I'd imagine I'd find playing the drums immensly satisfying! I'd also like to learn the trombone and the double bass, but I feel I may be a little short for that. Anyway that's me.

I play piano and flute they're both amazing! The flutes are the bestest section EVER! But piano is flippin amazing! I love them both!

Though there are not many of us, I’ve voted for cello. I took up learning to play the instrument three months ago. Yes, I am 25, I know, but you are never too old for such a thing. That’s what I’m saying all the time to my friends, who regard my efforts as a good joke. But I’m practicing hard and am told to be making progress. Cello has the most amazing sound I’ve ever heard. Ehm .. well, if the person is skilled enough to play it right, of course. But one day, I will be. Certainly.

Well I've played a bunch of different instruments in my life and I feel like naming them so here I go.

I've been playing piano for about 7 years now, and I'm 14 so that means that I've been playing since I was about 7 haha, and it is still my favourite after all this time. I love how you can play any son and there are millions to choose from! I love how your fingers fly across the keys, dancing if you will, and there are infinite possibilities.

I also learned how to play guitar a couple years ago. I liked it and all, but it was really difficult at the time because I have very small hands so I couldn't reach up all the strings to play the chords easily. I like the sound of the guitar, but sorry to say it just wasn't my cup of tea.

In music class at school one year I learned to play the alto sax. Really awesome sounds, just really hurt the teeth! Also in that class I learned to play the drums. That is so cool, and when you have a rhythm stuck in your head, you can just beat it out.

I've also learned the recorder, which is like a flute except plastic and basically for little kids, the glockenspeil or xylophone is what it's called, the dulcimer, I've attempted the flute and didn't succeed, and something else I can't remember.

But piano is my favourite.

I used to learn how to play the flute in primary school. I was pretty good at it. But the sound wasn't the best one really. I prefer listening to the piano. I love the sound of it.

Even though I love all musical instruments but alas I chose 'I'd rather be singing' my favorite instrument would have to be piano

I taught myself how to play piano and I really like it. But I also really like guitar even though I don't play it. But I suppose my favourite instrument would be my own - my voice.

Piano for life! In my cadet corps marching band, I play the glockenspiels and the drums. I like guitars and know basic stuff. I am also a good singer. I think I love musical instruments! They're my second life!

Electric guitar.I dream to becoma singer or actrees.

My favorite would be the Harp, I played for so long and I was the 2 best in the state, but then I had to quit because of the money, it was outrageous. I will someday pick back up on it hopefully.
