I don't think there will be protection because they're not related like Lily and Harry were. But it's a good idea. But then ... even if there were protection, just like Lily's protection it will wear off by his birthday.

I think that is an excellent theory. I don't think that Draco would have received the love protection like that of harry, but i think that he was trying to protect Draco.

I think that after much consideration Dumbledore did sacrifice himself for Harry. If I were Dumbledore I would have done the same thing. Freezing Harry, making him watch him die. It all makes since now that I think about it.

Well, I know it's pointless me answering this now after the 7th book is out but I just wanted to point something out. Lily did literally die for Harry, as in she died IN PLACE of Harry. Voldemort intended to kill Harry and Lily took the killing curse instead of Harry. This is not the case with Dumbledore, he stunned Harry to stop him from interfering but in the situation where Dumbledore died Draco Malfoy, the death eaters, Snape and whoever else was there willing to kill Dumbledore were there with the intention to kill Dumbledore, not Harry (in this particular moment). I'm not saying they wouldn't have killed Harry too had they known he was there but the intention in that moment was to find and kill Dumbledore so while he protected him by stopping him from interfering and putting himself in danger he did not, as Lily did, die for Harry.
