Yeh samsmom I found it a lot more tricky too. These questions needed you to anticipate what answer would be correct. Rather then reading and swotting up from the books you have to FEEL what the right answer is.

Yeah, I'd like to know that as well. When do you think the results will be up? Hmm... I don't know about you guys but I found the test quite tricky. All the stuff about the muggle world was good but I was a bit stuck on the magical creatures bit. I went really quite fast through the test though, I had loads of time at the end to think about those questions more. It was the one that said "Which of these statements is false?" that stumped me a bit, what did anyone get for that?

I think last time it took a few weeks. Maybe less. I never kept a close eye on the calendar. It's "In the Post" now so hopefully it won't be too long.

It didn't surprise me that the door closed so soon though. I gues JK's got enough going on then to want too many tests to mark. Even though we all know she isn't doing it herself, but that's not the point.

I seriously doubt I even passed. I guessed majority of the questions. Just goes to show that the books won't tell you everything!!! I had even gotten my hole set out and had them next to me when I started the test only to realise they were useless!!! I couldn't believe it. So yeah, I'm going to fail it.

I think I'll fail it too. I had to guess quite a lot and mostly I just tried to think in a resonable way or what I knew from other things I've read. The hardest was all the Goblin stuff. I mean I was never really interested in that kind of thing. What I also don't know how they will grade me because I never did the first ione. Will that be a problem?

I don't think it'll matter. I think each test is seperate and doesn't have anything to do with the previous one/s. Unless JK decides to give us a Grade Average, then it might be different for those of you who didn't get to take the first one. I dunno, I'm pretty sure it won't matter.

Some of the questions though, like you said laudine, the Goblin ones. Who really cares about the Goblins? I don't. Their not a necessary part of the HP plot so why bother asking questions about them? But then we couldn't expect to just be tested on the stuff in the books......

Well, when I was doing the test I thought, I am going to get Troll, but then I had ten minutes left so I flicked back and it didn't look that bad. I did that on the first one and I got exceeds expectations. I was like, say what now? And then Jo squashed a rumour saying that you only needed a few marks to get Outstanding and she said that if you really got Outstanding or E's or A's, then you really deserved them. Hopefully I will be just as good in this test

i hope the results come soon although im pretty sure i got a T because i havent read fantastic beasts and where to find them and i think it would have been quite helpful

Well, I have read Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them and I can't say it actually helped at all. It's a pretty good book though. I'm guessing that I might have just passed but I wouldn't be surprised if I got a P... hopefully I got a reasonable grade. It was only the magical creatures bit I was really stuck on. I just flew through the rest of the questions so I had bout 15 minutes at the end to check which was good because I made some changes to questions that I managed to remember the answers to, from the books. I might have got them wrong though.

I don't think reading any of the books in particular would help. It was just reading everything and understanding JKR's way of thinking and rules of magic as she sees them. I was too lazy to find my Fantastic Creatures, but I really don't think it would have helped.

Okay so bummer for me. I usually don't check my e-mail between Thursday nights and Monday mornings, just a scheduling thing really, and this week I wasn't able to check my e-mail or go on line till Tuesday morning. I don't think it was that bad at all, I also had time left to check my answers and wasn't that non-sense as I first thought, but I'm not quite sure if it's enough to pass the test. And I have to agree that non of the books would have helped you. I hope you guys will get good results, at least an A!

Yeah I felt the same, I still had time to go over what I did and it wasn't as bad as I still thought, but that voice saying I might get a bad grade is still looming. I hope I atleast get an A, an E would be brilliant, and an O, I think I might go round to my friends and have a party just from that test. I know, I'm mad.

I am really annoyed that I missed it! I did the first one and then have been looking forward to this one only to discover it is open the week I have no acess to a computer. Does anyone have a copy of the quiz questions?? It sounded like it was hard to get into, unlike last time.

I just checked my results!! It was my first WOMBAT, so I was realy excited! Well, I got an A, I know, that's not too good. But at least I didn't fail! Next time I'll do better.

at last the papers are marked , i got an E (exceeds excpectaions) and i'm really happy about it i printed the certifecate and then scanned it and edited it with microsoft word and wrote my name on it and then printed it again.
but i was really very excited to get the marks i thought i would get a P, but i got an E.

YAY!! I got an A. I am so happy. I did it best I could and I am so happy that I got that score. It was harder than last time. I'm so happy though I was worrying I was going to fail. Ok I need to calm down now.

O - Outstanding

E - Exeeds Expectations

A - Acceptable

Then the fail grades are...

P - Poor

D - Dreadful

T- Troll

I think that's right, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

E is the second highest mark so that's really quite good!

I got an E. It was my first time to take the test, missed out on it the last time. So I am really happy...

O is for Outstanding and the best grade
E is for Exceed Expectations and the second past grade
A is for Acceptable and passed

I can't remember the fail grades, I only remember the T for troll. Can anyone please help me remember?

Wow.iI just saw my grade!! I passed!! Gosh i'm soo excited, althought i dunno way cause it isn'a a real test but hey!! So.. My grade?? Gosh .. Outstanding! I am like I never imagined i would pass that, but an O???? I still can't believe it... I'm so proud of me!!

Oh I'm so relieved, because I didn't fail the test! I got an E as most of you, I'm just really glad. In my results stands that there will be just one more Wombat-Test, that's great pity . Oh and of course congratulations to all of you who passed the test!!!

I know that JKR said that people really fail, and that people who do aren't likely to jump on this topic and post, "wow I failed," but what do you suppose the statistics are... looks like more pass than not.

I guess that the type of person who would take the test, or watch her website for it, would be those of us who are obsessed. We all know who we are! We're the ones who examine the books with a magnifying glass, so I guess we are likely to pass.

But i have to admit that 2-3 of the answers were just guessings.. I think i am just lucky... and obsessed (88% acording to a test )

Wow, that was quick, eh! Didn't JK Rowling just close the door of the Room of Requirement yesterday? Last W.O.M.B.A.T. took about a week or so to grade. This one jumped straight to the "Delivered" stage. Not that I'm complaining, though! Just pointing it out!

Anyway, I received an "Exceeds Expectations" on the test! I am definitely satisfied with the grade, although I wish I could see what questions I answered correctly/wrongly. It's too bad JK Rowling didn't do that for neither of the two WOMBAT tests.

I can't wait for version 3, and unfortunately the last, WOMBAT! Hopefully it will come soon!

You know, I'm absolutely gutted. I didn't even know the door had been opened! Darnit....I hope this hasn't wrecked any reward we get at the end of these tests

Ah well. Probably just a bit of fun to pass the time, I guess. I mean, she hasn't even confirmed the name of the seventh book yet in her own mind, according to something I read last week, so I guess we won't be getting the title as a reward.

Aww, sorry about that, Louise! If you want to take it, just for fun, I'm sure you can find it online somewhere from screenshots. I happened to have liked the questions on this test better than those from the last one.

Oh, and if it's any consolation, I lost my Student Identification Code from the first WOMBAT test around a week after I got the results. So now my WOMBAT Grade 2 results stand alone on the wall in the room. If there is a prize at the end, you won't be the only one not getting it!

Ok, so the first test was easy, the next was intermediate so the last one will be hard? I hope not. After that one I feel like I know nothing about the world of Magic, despite passing both of them. But I think it's rigged so that no-one fails. Despite JKR claiming that people do fail.

I am now a proud owner of an Exceeds Expectations on my WOMBAT! Which I am pretty darn proud of. The first WOMBAT I missed because I was on vacation, but I am very happy that I got in on this one! I have one lone plack on my wall! Which I am, nonetheless, as happy as I can be about it!

Ahh Louise!! I'm sorry that you weren't able to take it! I was so determined to get in on this test that nothing could get in my way! But anyway- I'm sure you would have gotton an O!

Wow, I'm so happy. I got "Exceeds Expectations", which surprised me greatly, because after doing the test I was kicking myself, thinking I had failed miserably.
I didn't get to do the first one, because, at that time the only way I could get on to the site was using the text only version.

Can't wait for the third one.

I just looked at my results ang got Acceptable. I'm pleased but everyone posting on here seems to have got Exceeds Expectations! I didn't get to do the first W.O.M.B.A.T. test ['coz] because I missed it so I was pretty pleased when I looked at the door and found it was open! I wonder if she'll still give a prize to people who have only done the first one.

hi! I have been a HP fan for a looong time, and I have been checking out JK`s website almost every week. But I still can`t understand what this Wombat thing is. OK, I know that it is a test but at JK`s site is says that you have to have this student identification code. How do you get th code??It would meen so much to me if someone could tell me this!!

The test is now over. You get the Wombat code by taking the test. It is your way of finding out your score. There is supposed to be one more... Keep checking the locked door under the "?" link on her site. I think it's the eraser that you click on to get it.
Hope you get to do the 3rd one... they are very interesting. Answers are not exactly facts, but more understanding JKR's magical world.

I don't know if they are doing them at regular intervals, or just when she wants to take a break from writing book 7. The last test was April 2006 (6 months ago). If it is periodic, then it's due again in April 2007... but'I'm keeping an eye out for it. I missed the first one and really want to do the third.

ok... wait. im so confused. where is all of this stuff like the shamrock, pen, key, hourglass and all that other stuff? i dont know where any of it is and how to get to it! please help me!

Sorry, smurfishpotterluver, but the test is over now. The things you listed were on a desk inside the locked door on JKR's website. I believe the item you choose from her main desk is the eraser, then you get sent to the room with a window, mirror and a door that normally says "Do not disturb". When the test was there, you could get into that door to another desk.
Keep checking... there will be another test. Don't know when, but it's supposed to be the last.

I passed and I got an Outstanding i am really rather pleased with myself I was dreading what i thought to be an inevitable fail grade and i thought i was going to be one of the worse Harry Potter fans ever
