I got an Exceeds Expectations. That was a pretty difficult test. I think you had to read ALL the books, not just the 1-6 HP ones to get an outstanding, and I have not read the extra books. Yeah!

I got acceptable and I have to say I'm really proud of it. I was sure I made so critical mistakes and failled it, so this is a good reason to celebrate to me! I also had really bad proplems to get the ID right so it too felt like victory when it was finally right.

I am so jealous of all of you, you have managed to get your results, and you have got good marks too. I took the test and I have typed the Student Identification Code in properly, but it still says it isn't recognised, I've made sure I've got the letters that are meant to be small, small, and the letters that are meant ot be capitals, capitals. If that makes sense to you. Do you think you need your identification code to take the second part of the test?
Congratulations to those of you that got Outstandings.
Well done to the people that got Exceeds Expectations and Acceptable!

Apr 8 2006, 11:36 AM
Don't know if it got any help for you, but my problem was that I got mixed with big I letter and little l letter many times. I had to try different variations to get them right. And I too had problems with letter O and number 0. I know it's really frustrating when you know you got the right code but it just refuses to work.
But don't worry, I don't think you need the code in part 2. I would be unfair to those who didn't even managed to take the test.

For those of you who are having problems with the identification code, Marire has given some very good advice.
It's very easy to confuse 'O' and '0', as well as 'I' and 'l' - that's probably what's causing the problems.
Other than triple checking that you've entered the right case and made sure that they are definitely the right letters/numbers, there's not really much that anyone can do to help you.

I'm willing, if you PM me with your ID's, to take a look to see if I can figure out what the problem might be, but other than that, it's really a matter of trial and error. Sorry, guys.

Apr 8 2006, 04:41 PM
Absolutely no idea, karsh...it's not very clear from the site, but I would imagine that you would be able to. I don't think JKR would exclude people who missed out the first time.
I really don't think we should build our hopes too high of getting up to a certain level and then having something revealed about the next book though - I really think that this is just a bit of fun to pass the time...when JKR has already said that anything she says at this stage would be a giveaway, I can't see it being very likely that there'll be a little pot of gold at the end of this WOMBAT rainbow

Just enjoy it for what it is, guys...a bit of fun

I feel so much like Hermione...I got an Exceeds Expectations which I am proud of no doubt, but I wanted an Outstanding. But I knew I wasn't going to get one after seeing those links Albus-wan put up.

Geez, I felt like a know-nothing!

I guess I did pretty good though. Do you really think anybody got anything less than an Acceptable? Maybe it would've hurt a fan's feelings to get a Dreadful. But then again, Harry Potter is right up there with oxygen, and I think anyone obsessed enough to visit her site like we do is going to get a good grade. Course I have read all the other books (not just the series) and I didn't get an Outstanding. I even have little guide thingys. But what can you do? I proud of being a big geeky HP fan!!
And don't worry, I printed mine out too, in the highest quality way my printer does. It looks so nice.
Congrats to everyone!!

I got an Acceptable! I think that is quite a good mark because I found it really hard, and I've only just found out my marks because it didn't work before. How many other people got Acceptable. I can't wait for Grade Two of the W.O.M.B.A.T. test to come. How many peopel do you think got below a pass mark?

Hi,
I got an Exceed Expectations. It felt a bit like Harry's Transfiguration Exam. I knew I was not at my best with so many thing happening around me. I also knew it was not my strongest ability to recall and deduce everything from the last 6 books in fixed short time frame. However, I was pleasantly surprized.
On with the next!

I did it! O for outstanding!

Pretty sure it was a fluke, i had my 18 month old pulling at my trousers half the time LOL! just wondering what the other certificates say? mine says:

Congratulations. Your exemplary powers of deduction and a formidable knowledge of the inner workings of the magical world reveal you to be a witch or wizard of genuine skill and learning. This first examination has barely tested you. We look forward to challenging you to a further and more difficult examination in due course.

You got an ID code when you took the W.O.M.B.A.T. test, they gave you one at the end and said you have to keep it in a safe place.

Wow! I have an Outstanding (in spanish: "sobresaliente") in my W.o.m.b.a.t..I can't believe it,because I have answered some questions that I didn't know.
Even so,I'm very happy with my mark and I want to do the second wombat soon.

Yeah I got an OUTSTANDING but that was surprising since there were so many questions that were impossible to answer. I hope the W.O.M.B.A.T. test 2 is soon. Hopefully when we pass the second test a clue about the 7th book will be revealed. I just hope that Rowling isn't messing with our minds!

Wow, I just got back to my computer and went to JKR's site and I got my results. I did not get what I wanted but I did get an Acceptible and I will take it without complaint. It said that the results were for the W.O.M.B.A.T. 1 test so I am assuming that there will be more but how many is more?

Make sure you have typed the code in properly, that is what happened to me, make sure you don't get the letters mixed up. For example, don't get g mixed up with q, or o mixed up with 0. Did you copy the code down, or print it out? I had help with one of the moderators 'Michelle Dessler', I sent her a scan of my code (I had printed it out), and she managed to tell me what letters I had got wrong.

Great advice, Nicky_92, but that's not what I meant. When I go to the site and click on the WOMBAT card, a little window comes up that says 'null is not an object.
Louise
Apr 12 2006, 08:55 AM
Mmm...must be a problem with your computer because there's nothing wrong with the site, I just checked.
It might be something to do with your firewall settings, maybe? Have you got pop-up blocker turned on? Because that needs to be off, as the WOMBAT screen opens in another window. I'm assuming you have Flash because otherwise you wouldn't be able to get in there at all...mmm....
Yeah, it's definitely to do with your computer though. Check your settings first. Do you get any problems on other flash sites, like the official WB's one?
If you're continuing to get problems, better post in the support forum rather than drift off topic here. We can't promise to help out with issues outside the forums, but there could be people here with better knowledge about these things than me who might be able to figure out the problem.

I'm so excited! I got a Exceeds Expectations!
A friend of mine and I went through the whole test and analyzed it to death. We figured most of the answers either needed more information or just depended on what kind of person you are.
I can't wait until the next test!

I got an E! I was as chuffed as a train!
I told my mother and she didn't realise it was the wizarding equivilant of a B so she was like "I thought you were a complete expert on all things HP?" (Shes played against me in my HP trivia board game and if I do say so myself, I am unbeatable.)
About problems typing it in, there might be a 1 instead of a I or a l. Thats one of the problems I had.
There was a poll on the mugglenet.com and some people did have D's P's and T's, although tonnes and tonnes more people got higher, it was the minority that failed.

Okay, I tried to find help in the Support section about my problem, but that didn't help any. For those that have no clue what I'm talking about, here's the drill:
I took the WOMBAT test that JK put on her site and got a code and everything. However, when I clicked on the little card on the home page, it gave this whole "'null' is not an object thing. I have no clue what to do. Should I just wait for the next test and see what happens?

I'm afraid you can't take it agian, Rougeisgood, sorry. But there's going to be another test coming up for 'Grade 2', and I hope that J.K. lets everyone take it, which she probably would since she's fair.
And Helena_723, have you only tried clicking on the card once? If you haven't already, maybe you should wait, and then try opening it again, or try it on a different computer.

Hey there and welcome to the forum- can I please ask you to check out the rules- the link is in my signature- and you might also like to introduce yourself in the Newbies Central Welcome threads.
In regards to your question--- it's actually been addressed a few times in this thread already if you'd read through it before you posted.
However you can't get a student number and do the test anymore. It was only active for a short time. However there's talk of a second (and more) quiz coming, so keep checking back.

No idea, Nicky - no one does. We just have to wait and see. I would imagine, judging from previous door-openings, that it will be a few months, though. Best thing is to keep an eye on the news on the front page. When the door opens again, Matthew will announce it

congrats all for the wonderful results.
i got an Acceptable, and to put in the words of someone who posted earlier i was "chuffed as a train" (sorry i can't attribute it to you properly, but i just loved the phrase.) yeah, i was happy.
i actually first entered this to check if there was any spoilers that came as a reward for the test. somewhere else i was visiting 2 weeks ago had posts from a few ppl saying they got info about the title of book 7. no one argued, but i was sceptical. i was net-less for the next 2 weeks, so i couldnt follow up, and only just got back tonight. and it appears that there is no official book seven title. at least, i cant find it, and it appears no one else has either. or is it only availiable to Outstanding students, and you guys don't wanna share??? lol, probly not.
ah well. all good.

Veneficus_Diligo, you should have got your number when you finished taking the test, it came up as soon as you had finished, if you havnt got this then i dont think there is a lot you can do, you cant retake it and theres no way i can think of that you can get your number. sorry, guess youll never know how you did!
George's Girl, i heard rumours about the title being a reward, but having been keeping track on here, i got an acceptable so dont know about the outstanding people, but no one seems to have got a secret out of it, just the satisfaction of knowing you could make it in the wizarding world, and the suggestion of another test coming who knows when! think if the outstandings had got the title theyd have shared it with us, because im sure they arent horrible, mean people really.

There was no reward for getting an 'O' to my knowledge other than the satisfactory knowledge that you could make it in J.K. Rowling's wonderful world.
