but still.. wierd dream!
! That was exactly what I said.
The sorting hat had been saying for years that everybody needed to unite, that people needed to get over their petty differences and work together, thats between individuals and houses. The scene in the great Hall described the numbers of students that stayed behind. There were the most Gryffindor, then hufflepuff, then Ravenclaw, and then no Slytherins. I really don't understand this. I get Gryffindor, they are known for being brave, and when one Gryffindor was brave enough to stand up for something, others followed suit. Obviously there was also Harry, and the group of friends that he had built up in Gryffindor. I Dont get why there were few Ravenclaws. They are intelligent enough to know that the more people that fight against the death eaters, the more chance that you're going to survive (though you dont need to be in Ravenclaw to get that..) and they aren't known especially for being cowardly. Many of their parents would have been targeted for their intelligence, why would more not stay? And Slytherin... They would either be for or against Voldemort. Slytherin doesn't wait for straglers to make up their minds. Many parents and family would have been targeted, and many killed. Some Slytherins would have spent six or seven years trying to shed the shroud of the Slytherin reputation, many not having exceptional power, but still wanting to help.
It just seems ludicrous to leave no Slytherins there.
And draco.. 'fighting' against Harry then being saved by him, twice, pleading with a Death eater, being prectically abandoned by Crabbe and Goyle, his loyal followers for seven years, i mean, show a little Backbone!
I think I wanted everybody to show some resemblence to how they were in PS, as they sort of did in the epilogue. The Trio were together, and Dumbledore was pretty much his old self in kings Cross, albeit dead, I wanted Draco and Crabbe and Goyle to stay as a little gang.. but nicer than PS, Snape to survive

and to still have the mystery and sarcasm that he did, perhaps be forgiven by everybody.. you know the thing. obviously with some differences- the houses being united.. but I wanted some similarities.. We just didn't get that.
anyway.. thats what I think!
