As part of the press conference in Los Angeles earlier today, Daniel Radcliffe spoke to Collider about the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and the sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which he says will begin production in ten days.
The interview is full of spoilers for the final book, where Dan talks about what he thought of Harry's fate and the last few chapters, so please read with caution.
Dan was asked about his thoughts on whether or not Alfonso Cuaron could come back and direct the seventh movie, and had this to say:
Q: A lot of people thought Alfonso Cuaron did such an amazing job of the third movie and he’s talked about he’d be willing to come back to the franchise, would you like to have him back for book seven.
Daniel: It’s a very interesting question. I loved working with Alfonso, so I don’t want this to be misinterpreted in the slightest, but I really love working with David Yates. Who knows if he’ll do book seven. But also I think to be honest it’s really nice to have new directors come on board. Who know, it’s a long way off, book seven, it depends if David is willing to do it, I don’t know if he will be, it’s a long way off so I don’t know at the moment. But I would love to work with him (Alfonso) again in the future, I don’t know if Potter will be the place where that happens. The entire article can be read here; thanks to TLC for the link.
Remember that Dan will be on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' in a matter of minutes (11:35 EST). |
