Biography: David Tennant was born in West Lothian. He received theatrical training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glascow, where he also gained a BA in Dramatic Studies. He began his career on stage, performing in such venues as the Yourng Vic, the Edinburgh Lyceum, the 7:84 theatre company and Dundee Rep. His roles have included Edgar in "King Lear" and Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet." He received an Laurence Olivier Theatre Award nomination for his performance in "Lobby Hero." He's also had major roles on TV shows such as "The Deputy," "Foyle's War," and "Love In the 21st Century." His talents also range from radio acting to narrating. His voice is always in much demand for Radio 4, documentaries for National Geographics, and audio books.
