Biography: Julie was originally trained as a nurse. She had a sensational debut as the working class heroine in "Educating Rita". She later earned a Best Actress Oscar nomination in the process. Julie moved on and starred in "Unfair Exchanges", "She'll Be Wearing Pink Pyjamas", and "Car Trouble." One of her best roles was as a real-life London madam Cynthina Payne in "Personal Services". Walters co-starred in "Buster" for Phil Collins. She has starred in many great movies in her time. She has worked very hard and it has paid off, for she is consistently voted the UK's most popular female light entertainer.
Interesting Facts:
She was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to drama on 2 December 1999.
She has one daughter, named Maisie.
