When he was older, he followed his father's footsteps and received theatrical training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA). He then performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has starred in many television roles, but some of his memorable roles were on shows shows and TV movies such as "The Naked Civil Servant," "Oliver Twist," and "The Vicar of Dibley." Some of the movies he has been in are "The Go-Between," "Interview With the Vampire," and "American Friends."
