"If we turn our heads and look away and hope that it will all disappear then they will - all of them, an entire generation of people. And we will have only history left to judge us."

Veritaserum | Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone/Philosopher's Stone | DVD Features

Movie 1:
DVD Features

Opening
Narrator: Welcome to the Great Hall, so many enchanting opportunities and mysterious clues await you.  Look around the many halls and explore the grounds, but don’t forget your goal to find the secret hidden within.  Remember, however, the 3rd floor quarter on the right hand side is out of bounds to anyone who does not wish to die a most painful death.

Diagon Alley: By clicking on Hedwig, you can go to Diagon Alley.  Click on the bricks to open the wall and it then lets you in.  If you can’t figure out the combination of bricks, it will tell you.  You then have the choice to go to Eeylops Owl Emporium, Gringotts, or Ollivander's wands.  If you try going to Eeylops or Ollivander's before Gringotts it will make you go to Gringotts to get your money in order to purchase magical items.

Gringotts
Opening
Hagrid: Gringotts, the wizard bank, t’ain’t so safer place, not one, ‘cept, perhaps, Hogwarts.
Narrator: Maybe the tightest security in this or any world. Run by goblins and guarded by dragons.  Step up to the window to make a withdrawal if you have your key.

In Gringotts, there is an exchange rate for the Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts.  There is also a box of Bertie Botts.  If you click on the box you can try out different flavors of beans.  If you just click on the exchange rate sign it will tell you that you need a key.  If you go back and look at the Gringotts banner, you will see a small key at the very bottom of the banner.  If you click on the key, you will be allowed to go into Gringotts. You can then click on the Exchange Rate banner on the wall, and get your fortune.

Eeylops Owl Emporium
Opening
Narrator: Welcome to Eeylops Owl Emporium, obviously, you are in need of an owl.  How else will you be able to communicate across the distances, Muggle-mail?  Just click on each owl to hear about it.

In Eeylops, there are three owls you can click on.  If you click on an owl it will tell you about that owl.

Far left owl: Aw, the tawny, a fine, fine owl, this owl can catch bats in flight.
Middle owl: Aw, the barn owl, you’ll just love its long rasping screech.
Far right owl:  The snowy owl, a remarkable creature, here’s a little tip; it’s always nice to slip your owl bits of toast accompanied by a pat on the head.

Ollivander’s Wand Shop
Opening
Narrator: Welcome to Ollivander’s, makers of fine wands since 382 B.C., every Hogwarts student needs a wand for Professor Flitwick's class.  You’ll need one too.  Unlike many purchases, here at Ollivander's, the wizard does not choose the wand.  The wand chooses the wizard, and no two wands are alike. Let’s see if we can’t find a match.

You can then pick out wands and try them out.  You will not be allowed to enter classes until you pick the right wand.

Classes:
You will be able to choose to go to four different classes: Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Spells and Charms.

Transfiguration
You have two choices.  One is the Albus Dumbledore wizard card, and the other is the picture of Professor McGonagall.  The picture takes you to a movie of her.  The Wizard Card talks about Albus Dumbledore.

Spells and Charms
You have three choices in the Charms classroom.  One is a frame with Flitwick in it that when clicked on shows a clip of Wingardium Levioso.  There’s also a Bertie Botts box that you can choose more flavors from, and there’s a book that allows you to hear a clip in different languages.

Potions
In the potions classroom, you can select the picture of Snape and see a short clip about him, or you can select the glass next to him.  It then tells you to make different potions using the ingredients that are there.

Defense Against the Dark Arts
You can select two things here as well.  A picture of Professor Quirrel that tells about him, or a glass bottle that gives you a hint about the Sorcerer's Stone.

Sorting Hat
Here you can choose the banners for each house and hear what the sorting hat has to say about them.

Library
In the library you can look at books that have designs and drawings for the movie.  Other books give you hints about the stone.  Another book has little clips about Harry, Hermione, Ron, Draco, Oliver Wood, Seamus Finnigan, Neville, Percy, Madam Hooch, and Filch.  The last book shows little clips about each ghost from the houses

Hogwarts Grounds
Click on Mrs. Norris to go to the Hogwarts grounds. There you can choose the different Quidditch balls to learn about them, a box of Bertie Botts with yet MORE beans, or Fang (Hagrid’s Dog).  If you click on Fang, you get to take a tour of Hagrid’s Hut.

Extra Credit
By clicking on the parchment, you can get “extra credit”, but the DVD must be in your computer’s DVD-Rom drive.  IF you have a microphone for your computer, you can “Command” the DVD to do what you say.

Interviews
There are great interviews with David Heyman (Producer), Chris Columbus (Director), Steve Kloves (Screenwriter), and Stuart Craig (Production Designer) about the movie.

Tour
You can take a virtually-guided tour of Hogwarts.  It tells you about the different places and hidden areas in Hogwarts and what happened in those places.

3rd Floor Corridor
The only place left is the slightly hidden 3rd floor corridor.  After clicking on classes, there’s a Hogwarts pillar. If you click on the "H" on the pillar, you go to the third floor.  Fluffy then shows up, and you must use the flute to get past him.  Then you go on to the flying keys. You must find the correct key to move on.  After a few clicks, the keys will fly around, and then the right key will be in the middle.  After that, you will see the bottles, you must choose which one to use.  The circular yellow one farther back is the correct bottle. You then move on to see the Mirror of Erised.  You click on the stone and then you find secret hidden movies that have never been seen before.
