Mini-Contest: Goblet of Fire Tagline
In February 2005, we held a mini-contest to see who can come up with the best tagline for the Goblet of Fire movie. (The taglines for the first three films were "Let the Magic Begin," "Dobby Has Come to Warn You, Sir," and "Something Wicked This Way Comes," respectively.)
Here's how it worked: From January 31, 2005 until February 7, you could send in any mumbers of tagline submissions. On February 7, all of the submissions were reviewed and the top ten were posted in polls that were then voted on by visitors. On February 18, the polls closed and the winning tagline was announced: "Unforseen challenges. Unforgivable curses. Unspeakable danger." The tagline's creator, Dawson, won the Harry Potter Schoolbook Set (Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them).
Also, the winner for the funniest tagline was Vicki, who sent in "Come See the Amazing Bouncing Ferret!" The other nominees in both categories can be seen below.
