Harry Potter Book 7 Theories

Filch and Madame Pince. In HBP, Harry and Hermione discuss a potential relationship between the caretaker and the librarian. At Dumbledore’s funeral, they stand together. A Filch-Pince relationship would lighten the mood of the seventh book- it’s guaranteed to be the darkest of the seven, and we know that there’s a pretty heavy death coming up. Filch and Madame Pince could just be comic relief-also potentially creating sympathy for Filch, showing that he feels compassion for something besides his cat. Also could make Mrs. Norris jealous

I think Harry and Ginny will re-kindle their relationship. In HBP when Harry breaks up with Ginny, he does so thinking that he is protecting her from Voldemort. Also, when she tells him “that’s why I like you so much.” (or something like that), he says that if he stayed by her side his resolution wouldn’t hold. I think that Harry will come to realize how foolish it is for him to end his relationship with Ginny because Snape knows that Harry and Ginny were dating, but he doesn’t know they broke up. This means that [if Snape is truly bad] Voldemort will now have information from Snape, and will try to use Ginny to get to Harry. The only real way that Harry can keep Ginny safe is to keep her by his side. I think the wedding scene at the burrow will be very important because it will be the scene that Harry and Ginny reunite and Ginny joins Harry, Ron, and Hermione on their quest.

It’s obvious that Ron and Hermione are going to get together, or at least one of them spills their guts. In book five, I think JK was getting at something: Harry had already seen the Pensive and was sitting under the oak tree with Ron and Hermione as Ron was talking about a quidditch match he had just won. Ron ruffles his hair and looks at three Hufflepuff girls that are listening. Harry grins because it reminds him of another quidditch player he had seen earlier in the pensieve. Think about it. James/Ron and Lily/Hermione. Lily and James fought, Ron and Hermione fight. Lily yelled at James a lot, Hermione yells at Ron a lot. Lily and James went out in their final year, Ron and Hermione…
